My family and I were in Vegas on vacation, when my daughter wanted a tattoo for her birthday. Being so far from home we had no idea who did good work and was reputable. My friends and I got piercings here when we visited Vegas. My friends got their septum pierced, they had to take it out right away because it was crooked. Seems like this place may be good at tattoos but not piercings. Most places also give you an after care kit and this one did not. Read Less

Very laid back and clean comfortable environment. I visited Las Vegas and researched tattoo shops for months prior. I came across illuminati and saw their rating and samples of amazing work. They were excellent with communication prior to and up to the day of the my appointment. We had some unexpected events happen that delayed our appointment by hours. The shop was very understanding and worked to get us in. I'm very grateful for their flexibility, understanding, and kindne...ss. I had a difficult design I wanted and these guys were upfront and honest about the level of difficulty. They took time and have amazing skills they put to use. My ink turned out as amazing as I thought it would. It's been 3 months and my tattoo still looks as amazing just like the day it was done. $45 w/ jewelry My navel ring came out crooked! After two weeks, I was super upset since eveyone started noticing how crooked it was. I had to get it repierced somewhere else. My helix had to be redone three times since the earring kept getting pushed out. The most painful experience I had for a cartilage piercing. I had an allergic reaction to the body jewelries. Surgical steel is not supposed to give me an allergic reaction they said Sike! I told them I was highly allergic to most metals. The only one I wasn't allergic to was gold or white gold. And the guy said surgical steel wouldn't give me an allergic reaction. Unfortunately, it did still and now i have a couple of rashes around the area where the ring is supposed to be.I give them a two star because at least the artist was nice. I have been looking to get a tattoo that represented Vegas in a particular place on my arm and found what I was looking for in Dave's portfolio on their website so I went in and set up an appointment and they were able to get me right in the next day since I was only in town for business for a short time. Dave did a wonderful job, a stead hand and a great soft touch in a very sensitive area! Honestly, I had put off getting a tattoo in that area, what they call the ditch of the arm, for two years as I remember how painful it was when I got it on my other arm. Sometimes you go to Vegas for your first time in your 30's and decide you need to get a tattoo. When that happens- make sure you go to Illuminati! I'm very particular about who I go to for tattoos and being away from home made me really nervous to just pick a random artist. I couldn't find anyone I knew who had been tattooed in Vegas before so I was pretty skeptical. Illuminati had the most reviews and the best rating so I headed there the day before I left. Right when I walked in I felt comfortable. The guys that were there were really nice and Tommy got some sketches together for me right away. Greeted immediately as soon as walking in by the wonderful Rachel who took phenomenal care of us (me and my mother) and helped us with our tattoo ideas, pricing, and sizes. I just got my daith piercing done for my frequent migraines and it wasn't as bad as I thought. This was my first piercing besides my ear lobes. It hurt more than my lobes but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. All of Terrys tools were in sealed packages and he frequently changed his gloves. When he was doing the piercing he made sure I was ok and if I was ok to continue. The bar looks big but it's only for like 8 weeks until it's healed. After that I can go back and change it out for something cuter.Terry was very informative and explained everything he was doing. I called around to a couple of different places before going (with out a doubt) to Terry. He was reassuring all the way through the phone call to the piercing. When I got there I had to do a little paper work (one sheet), the price was $45 (cash only) for the procedure and the piercing. There's no appointment, just a walk in. He went through what to do and what not to do, as well as how to clean it. I'm very happy with my piercing and how it turned out. Blow your mind tattoos.I have two tattoos, both of which I got from Tyler at Illuminati Tattoo. I live in Chico, CA and am willing to wait until I have a chance to fly to Vegas just to see Tyler. His artwork is breathtaking and he treats you like family. I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I have never walked out of this shop feeling unhappy or uncomfortable. Even tattoos in more private places, such as my thigh tattoo, they accommodated to make me feel as comfortable as possible. The entire staff here is friendly and welcoming. Before my trip to Vegas, my sister researched places to get tattoos and piercing done in Vegas and she stumbled upon this gem here "Illuminati tattoo." I am super glad we decided to check them out. We arrived after 1:30 pm on a Monday and was greeted by a lady (forget her name) who asked us what we wanted to get. We told her a few piercings and a possible tattoo. She stated the shop piercer was on his way and would arrive by 2pm and in the meantime we could fill out forms to get started. During this time my sister decided not to get a tattoo but only the piercing.Our piercer finally arrived and he came over introduced himself and said give him a few minutes to get set up and sterilize his equipment. Of course we were fine with that. Cleanliness is everything. He was finally ready and escorted us to his work station. He introduced himself again as "Terry" and explained the process of each piercing we decided to get.Terry is the bomb,(heart) him! He's very courteous and knowledgeable and made my sister and I feel soooo comfortable more like family...well sort of lol. He's so quick and efficient as a piercer. I came here with my sister after she spontaneously decided she wanted her daith pierced. We walked in and were greeted by Terry and he helped us immediately. My sister is a seasoned champ when it comes to piercings, but I appreciated Terry walking both of us through what he would be doing. I loved this place the moment I gave them a call about piercings. Terry, the guy I spoke to was kind enough to answer the questions I had. He was able to give me an idea of the pain I would feel from a tragus.We came in and he welcomed us in. He constantly kept reassuring my friend and I that it will be fine. The pain won't last for more than a second. It made me calm down. He honestly knew what he was doing as well. He was educating us on how to take good care of our piercing and the number one rule. He also told us, if ever we feel like we need help with changing the earring he will help you with no charge. I watched him sanitize everything properly. As a nursing student, I'm always making sure everything is clean when doing any needle work on my body. Throughout the whole process, he was able to make me calm and scared my anxiety away. Compared to my last tattoo experience in Hawaii, this was JUST WHAT I NEEDED.Tommy was the gentleman who worked on me! My design was very simple and easy, so it didn't take long at all. He was so incredibly friendly I was like holy cow this guy is so nice. No hidden charges, everything we discussed was what I was charged for! Everything went smooth, and I would totally recommend this place if you need a tattoo. Their prices are SO FAIR and compared to the minor convenience of on the strip places/hotel tattoo parlors, it's not worth it. COME HERE.  Not sure what else to say, but my experience was great. He was 100% about what the customer wanted, and was only happy if I was, and I WAS :) PS. Don't be dumb like I was- their address is a bit mixed up on maps/Yelp.
