I came in today because I'd had a friend do some work that came out really bad on my arm, as he was not a professional. Phat Tatz understood and went out of their way to help me clean it up and fix it. It looks amazing after just a one hour session and it's a big tattoo, so that says a lot. The store was clean, the employees were amazing, super talented and skilled in what they do, and very friendly. This was the best piercing and tattoo place my wife and I have been to yet. So good in fact, that in a couple of days my wife is going to get some work done, too. These guys are clearly professionals and they are the go to guys if you want quality work done. My husband came in to get some work done on a tattoo that our friend had done and messed up on. Phat Tatz not only fixed it, but they made it way better. I love the atmosphere of the store, it's very nicely decorated and extremely clean with examples of their art everywhere. I was extremely impressed with the level of service and how nice everyone was. The man who did the tattoo is extremely talented, as his son, who also works there. I would highly recommend them. I also got my ears pierced yesterday by them and they did an excellent job. They are very professional and talented at what they do. So I just got a peace symbol tattooed on my wrist. I figured this is very simple and there is no way that anyone can screw this up. Boy was I wrong! As nice and sweet as the shop owner and tattoo artist was that did this tat for me, it may be time for him to " throw in the towel". I agree with the last reviewer when it was said that the lines are thick and shaky and the shading is subpar. I did see some good work in their books and the son does a pretty good job, but dad wasn't so great. Maybe in his younger days he was phenomenal, but I was not pleased with my tat. I have gotten two tats from Outsiders and John was amazing. He was not heavy handed and didn't make me bleed. Dad was a bit heavy handed and I bled. If I could give this place less than one star I would. First of all, talk to the majority of people native to Fallon and they will tell you to stay far away from this place. I highly encourage you to do research on their Instagram and Facebook. If you look closely at their art you'll easily be able to tell that all of their lines are thick and shaky, shading is patchy and downright horrible, and their portraits are frightening. I have gotten two tattoos done here before, the first a simple name and date in cursive (kinda hard to screw up), then the second I got a simple music staff. Like I said, lines are thick and shaky, shading is horrible and one of the music notes is backwards. I've literally had people look at it and cringe. This was something that I was so excited about because it was a representation of one of my passions and now I'm looking to spend probably hundreds of dollars just to get it covered up. I mean they are okay with very simple writing and occasionally traditional-style color tattoos, but that is really it. I highly recommend you to do your research, if you want to stay in the Fallon area, outsiders is pretty good, however it is more than worth it to drive an hour and find a place in Reno, especially if you want something as intricate as a portrait or large-scale design. This art will be on your body forever, please do your research and go to a parlor who knows what they are doing. Read Less

We are active duty military, and so we've been to quite a few tattoo and piercing shops. I would recommend Phat Tat'z right up there with the likes of Supergenius Tattoo up in Seattle. I've had two piercings done here and they are by far some of the best people to work with. Clean, professional work, everyone is very friendly in the shop and they're all very knowledgeable.
