Got my nose pierced here a little over three/four months ago, where I've had it pierced before but have had it fall out while sleeping. This happened once again last night, which is absolutely NOT this locations fault, rather being one of things that can happen with a nose piercing and being a heavy sleeper. While getting it repierced, I asked what I should do if it falls out again, and they said if I came in before a 24-48 hour period after it fell out they would be able to put it back in before it fully closed. Decided to call them today, ask if they had piercers available, and right off the bat the man on the phone started responding very rude. "We have 2 piercers today, that's kind of what we do." I hadn't asked how many they have, but rather if they had piercers who were 'available' today. He asked what I was looking to get, and I explained my situation of it falling out and wanting to redo it before it closed and how I was instructed to come in as soon as possible to get it redone. He then became pretty aggressive saying that he's been there 6 or so years and nobody has ever said that to anyone because he doesn't do that, and I must have been confused with replacing a stone if it fell out. He told me with scarring and tissues and such they would not be able to put it in for another two months (which is absolutely reasonable, I do not wish to have any tissue damage or scarring occur.) I was more so a little shocked he implied I had lied about what someone told me, when I specifically had asked about repiercing because it has fallen out before in the past. I started to explain how I had asked about the past piercing situation so I could figure out what to do, and he cut me off and told me "no that never happened here, nobody would ever say that," before I was able to finish what I was saying. I replied with letting him know I was just trying to ask questions and maybe figure out what I should do, and he told me he already answered my questions and it was difficult to answer them when I wasn't listening to him. I had not cut him off, and the only question he answered was when I asked their availability, which he responded rude and partially answered the question. I told him I was not being rude to him and I didn't appreciate his rude behavior. He began backpedaling with "well sir I'm not being rude I'm explaining to you nobody ever said that." After that I told him to have a nice day and hung up. I cannot comment on the quality of tattoos or the other artists/piercers at this establishment, but I will not be going back due to this unprofessional interaction I had with said individual.

This place was so clean and hygienic. Kacee Bateman did my piercing and she used clean tools and wore a surgical face mask. She was so nice and informative. The piercing was done so well that pain was very limited. She made sure to explain the after care thoroughly. Also I got my nose pierced with a stud and told her that in the future I wanted a hoop. She placed the stud specifically so that when I was able to put in a hoop, the hoop could fit well and be the correct size. Super nice people. Good at their jobs. Would recommend this place for a piercing.

Mike did my tat. It was a simple wedding ring that that meant a lot to me for my reasons. In the realm of tats it's small, little time, little effort.
But he treated it as important as it was to me. He took his time, he considered the life of the tat, what made it important to me, he covered so many angles and gave a lot of good advice and examples. Most importantly he worked with me to make it something I'm very glad to have.
If he takes this kind of care with something so small, imagine something much bigger?

My 7yo daughter really wanted her ears pierced. We were recommended to Skin Deep through friends, so we made an appointment with Mike Coons. They were great explaining everything to her and letting her know what to expect. She cried after the first ear and didn't want to finish up. They were very patient and gave her time to think about it. When she decided she didn't want to do the 2nd, they were not upset, they said you can come back anytime. We left and she had some time to think about it and since her 1st one wasn't even hurting anymore, she decided to be brave and just get the 2nd done. So within 20 minutes of leaving, she came back in and told them she wanted Kacee to do it. Kacee was very sweet and helpful the whole time. (So was Mike, but my daughter felt like BFFs with Kacee). It was so much easier the second time because she was deep breathing through it and knew the pain would be done quickly. She was so happy when it was done. She gave Kacee a hug. Thank you for helping her be brave, but also let her make her decisions.

I went to Skin Deep for microblading & had an amazing experience. Tayler Hager did a wonderful job on my eyebrows. She walked me through the whole process, and took great concern making sure my brows were as perfect as possible. She's a very down to earth, genuine person as well. I enjoyed my experience from beginning to end. The shop is one of the cleanest tattoo shops I have ever seen. For all those considering spas etc for microblading, I highly recommend Tayler @ Skin Deep instead. You will be in very well trained, creative hands :)

All around the staff is energetic and very well kept up with cleanliness!

If you need custom body jewelry do NOT order from this place. I put a down payment of $30 for 2 custom lip studs and never got them. I put my order in ONE YEAR AGO. I called twice and both times got someone with an attitude saying they will call me when my order gets in but I never got a call. I've had the same number for 4 years, never once got a call from this place. So basically they take your money from the down payment and then ignore you and never get in contact again. It's sad that this place has such a high rating and I've seemingly got the short end of this place. I would like my money back but if I call I'll probably get someone with an attitude again blaming me somehow. I'll never go back here for anything at all.

My five year old daughter wanted her ears pierced. Like so many moms I initially considered having them pierced with a gun at a local salon or costume jewelry store. After doing some research, I decided that having them pierced professionally was definitely the way to go!! I searched for an APP certified piercer close by & found that Mike Coons is the only one in Omaha!! I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed! At the strong urging of a close friend, I decided to get the Daith piercing done. To say I was nervous, would be an understatement. Mike Coons was awesome! He listened to my fears, and answered all my questions. He told me step by step what he was doing. And then gave me detailed instructions for the after care. He even gave me the name of a piercer who is much closer to where I live, in the unlikely event of any problems. He was completely professional and the shop was immaculate. I was, and am, very impressed! I'll definitely go back!

Most professional piercing I've ever gotten! I went in with two other friends and we all wanted different piercings. I got my cartilage pierced, one friend got her tragus pierced and the other got her lobes double pierced. Mike the piercer was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our strange questions and made the experience really enjoyable for all three of us! He offered advice on what kind of jewelry to get and where to place it which was very helpful. They are very thorough with their sanitation process so there is no need to worry about cleanliness here. Although this place is a bit more expensive than other places, you are definitely getting the best quality jewelry and piercings in Omaha so in my book it's worth it! I have had bad piercing experiences before and the pain of a bad piercing is not worth the cheapness of $20. Overall great experience and I would definitely go back!

On a whim yesterday, I decided to get a daith piercing to hopefully help with migraines. Mike was awesome! He explained everything to me step by step, what I was going to feel/experience and put my mind at ease. I had a bad experience with a dermal (out of state) so I was a little apprehensive about getting another piercing, no matter the type. It was quick with minimal pain. If I get any relief from my migraines with this one, I'll be visiting him again to get the other side done. I also want to mention that the shop is very clean and all the staff that I encountered was very friendly. I definitely recommend Skin Deep!

Against my better judgment I let my daughter get her ears pierced when she was just over 3 at a jewelry store. Needless to say we had an issue with one ear and she needed it redone. Nobody at any other shop would help me and those I talked to didn't listen. Or wouldn't do it because of her age! (Even though it was already done) Mike took his time listened to what I wanted and we discussed options. He then very carefully measured to make sure they were exactly the same. My daughter who is almost 6 was wanting it done but of course a little scared. He was so kind and patient and explained everything to her. She left with her shiny pink new earrings and almost zero pain getting it done. Thank you!

I can't tell you how awesome he is or how he's the one you should go to. He's given me great advice in not getting a tattoo I'd regret later due to size/placement/color/etc & he's one that will always be honest with you.

I went here, about a month ago now, for my first tattoo. I've had multiple piercings done around the Omaha area but never had a tattoo. I was out of town when I emailed Shawn the picture of what I wanted dates that I wanted to come in. He was really helpful via email and answered all my questions and concerns about the appointment. I was able to get an appointment fairly quick as my tattoo is really small about the size of a half dollar.When walking and I noticed that the shop was extremely clean and that is why I booked it there online from his bio he said that he was super clean. I've been to piercing and tattoo shops where it is dirty and I don't understand why people get a tattoo there if they can't keep their floors clean. Walking into Skin Deep I didn't have that feeling. Shawn show me the picture that I sent him after it was hand-drawn and asked if I wanted to change anything. Walking back into the room I sat down in the chair and equally as room was nice and neat and clean. I told him where I wanted to the placement of the tattoo and he informed me that in about 6 months of placement of where I want it right now would wear off and if I want it to last a long time that I should place it in the other part and he recommended where. As being new tattoos on my own self I was extremely grateful that he told me this. He didn't have much small talk and I had to prompt with questions during the tattoo. Which wasn't bad as I'm not outspoken myself. I liked that he was nice enough but didn't talk about everything under the sun. Overall the my impression of this shop is that it is clean and the guys seem helpful. Go here if you want a quality tattoo :)

We took our 7 year old daughter here to have her ears pierced for the first time. We wanted to avoid mall stores and ear piercing guns and opt for something more professional and sanitary. Our research came up with Mike at Skin Deep. After reading his requirements for underage piercing, we knew this was the place. Our dauhter was pretty nervous but Mike was very patient and explained the process while he was getting her ready. He really put her at ease and the experience was as painless as possible (literally!). The shop was very clean and Mike was very professional. You can tell he takes great pride in his work and wants to give the best service whether his client is 7 or 70. I would recommend Skin Deep to people of all ages.

Went in looking to get a decent sized tattoo on my arm. Chris the guy who does the tattoos was clearly not interested in talking to me let alone doing a tattoo. He was so busy playing on his tablet he couldn't be bothered to look at the pictures I had pulled up to give him an idea of what I wanted. His short rudely put answer was without a drawing I can't give you any answers. I will spend the hundreds of dollars at a shop that actually wants my money and has people skills. If I could give negative stars I would because 1 star is far more than they deserve.

He told me with scarring and tissues and such they would not be able to put it in for another two months (which is absolutely reasonable, I do not wish to have any tissue damage or scarring occur.) I was more so a little shocked he implied I had lied about what someone told me, when I specifically had asked about repiercing because it has fallen out before in the past. I started to explain how I had asked about the past piercing situation so I could figure out what to do, and he cut me off and told me "no that never happened here, nobody would ever say that," before I was able to finish what I was saying. I replied with letting him know I was just trying to ask questions and maybe figure out what I should do, and he told me he already answered my questions and it was difficult to answer them when I wasn't listening to him. I had not cut him off, and the only question he answered was when I asked their availability, which he responded rude and partially answered the question. I told him I was not being rude to him and I didn't appreciate his rude behavior. He began backpedaling with "well sir I'm not being rude I'm explaining to you nobody ever said that." After that I told him to have a nice day and hung up. I cannot comment on the quality of tattoos or the other artists/piercers at this establishment, but I will not be going back due to this unprofessional interaction I had with said individual.

The piercing was done so well that pain was very limited. She made sure to explain the after care thoroughly. Also I got my nose pierced with a stud and told her that in the future I wanted a hoop. She placed the stud specifically so that when I was able to put in a hoop, the hoop could fit well and be the correct size. Super nice people. Good at their jobs. Would recommend this place for a piercing.

Mike did my tat. It was a simple wedding ring that that meant a lot to me for my reasons. In the realm of tats it's small, little time, little effort.
But he treated it as important as it was to me. He took his time, he considered the life of the tat, what made it important to me, he covered so many angles and gave a lot of good advice and examples. Most importantly he worked with me to make it something I'm very glad to have.
If he takes this kind of care with something so small, imagine something much bigger?

My 7yo daughter really wanted her ears pierced. We were recommended to Skin Deep through friends, so we made an appointment with Mike Coons. They were great explaining everything to her and letting her know what to expect. She cried after the first ear and didn't want to finish up. They were very patient and gave her time to think about it. When she decided she didn't want to do the 2nd, they were not upset, they said you can come back anytime. We left and she had some time to think about it and since her 1st one wasn't even hurting anymore, she decided to be brave and just get the 2nd done. So within 20 minutes of leaving, she came back in and told them she wanted Kacee to do it. Kacee was very sweet and helpful the whole time. (So was Mike, but my daughter felt like BFFs with Kacee). It was so much easier the second time because she was deep breathing through it and knew the pain would be done quickly. She was so happy when it was done. She gave Kacee a hug. Thank you for helping her be brave, but also let her make her decisions.

She walked me through the whole process, and took great concern making sure my brows were as perfect as possible. She's a very down to earth, genuine person as well. I enjoyed my experience from beginning to end. The shop is one of the cleanest tattoo shops I have ever seen. If you need custom body jewelry do NOT order from this place. I put a down payment of $30 for 2 custom lip studs and never got them. I put my order in ONE YEAR AGO. I called twice and both times got someone with an attitude saying they will call me when my order gets in but I never got a call. I've had the same number for 4 years, never once got a call from this place. So basically they take your money from the down payment and then ignore you and never get in contact again. It's sad that this place has such a high rating and I've seemingly got the short end of this place. I would like my money back but if I call I'll probably get someone with an attitude again blaming me somehow. I'll never go back here for anything at all.

He listened to my fears, and answered all my questions. He told me step by step what he was doing. And then gave me detailed instructions for the after care. He even gave me the name of a piercer who is much closer to where I live, in the unlikely event of any problems. He was completely professional and the shop was immaculate. I was, and am, very impressed! I'll definitely go back!

Most professional piercing I've ever gotten! I went in with two other friends and we all wanted different piercings. I got my cartilage pierced, one friend got her tragus pierced and the other got her lobes double pierced. Mike the piercer was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our strange questions and made the experience really enjoyable for all three of us! He offered advice on what kind of jewelry to get and where to place it which was very helpful. They are very thorough with their sanitation process so there is no need to worry about cleanliness here. Although this place is a bit more expensive than other places, you are definitely getting the best quality jewelry and piercings in Omaha so in my book it's worth it! I have had bad piercing experiences before and the pain of a bad piercing is not worth the cheapness of $20. Overall great experience and I would definitely go back!

On a whim yesterday, I decided to get a daith piercing to hopefully help with migraines. Mike was awesome! He explained everything to me step by step, what I was going to feel/experience and put my mind at ease. I had a bad experience with a dermal (out of state) so I was a little apprehensive about getting another piercing, no matter the type. It was quick with minimal pain. If I get any relief from my migraines with this one, I'll be visiting him again to get the other side done. I also want to mention that the shop is very clean and all the staff that I encountered was very friendly. I definitely recommend Skin Deep!

Against my better judgment I let my daughter get her ears pierced when she was just over 3 at a jewelry store. Needless to say we had an issue with one ear and she needed it redone. Nobody at any other shop would help me and those I talked to didn't listen. Or wouldn't do it because of her age! (Even though it was already done) Mike took his time listened to what I wanted and we discussed options. He then very carefully measured to make sure they were exactly the same. My daughter who is almost 6 was wanting it done but of course a little scared. He was so kind and patient and explained everything to her. She left with her shiny pink new earrings and almost zero pain getting it done. Thank you!

I can't tell you how awesome he is or how he's the one you should go to. I went here, about a month ago now, for my first tattoo. I've had multiple piercings done around the Omaha area but never had a tattoo. I was out of town when I emailed Shawn the picture of what I wanted dates that I wanted to come in. He was really helpful via email and answered all my questions and concerns about the appointment. I was able to get an appointment fairly quick as my tattoo is really small about the size of a half dollar.When walking and I noticed that the shop was extremely clean and that is why I booked it there online from his bio he said that he was super clean. I've been to piercing and tattoo shops where it is dirty and I don't understand why people get a tattoo there if they can't keep their floors clean. Walking into Skin Deep I didn't have that feeling. Shawn show me the picture that I sent him after it was hand-drawn and asked if I wanted to change anything. Walking back into the room I sat down in the chair and equally as room was nice and neat and clean. I told him where I wanted to the placement of the tattoo and he informed me that in about 6 months of placement of where I want it right now would wear off and if I want it to last a long time that I should place it in the other part and he recommended where. As being new tattoos on my own self I was extremely grateful that he told me this. He didn't have much small talk and I had to prompt with questions during the tattoo. Which wasn't bad as I'm not outspoken myself. I liked that he was nice enough but didn't talk about everything under the sun. Overall the my impression of this shop is that it is clean and the guys seem helpful. Go here if you want a quality tattoo :)

We took our 7 year old daughter here to have her ears pierced for the first time. We wanted to avoid mall stores and ear piercing guns and opt for something more professional and sanitary. Our research came up with Mike at Skin Deep. After reading his requirements for underage piercing, we knew this was the place. Our dauhter was pretty nervous but Mike was very patient and explained the process while he was getting her ready. He really put her at ease and the experience was as painless as possible (literally!). The shop was very clean and Mike was very professional. You can tell he takes great pride in his work and wants to give the best service whether his client is 7 or 70. I would recommend Skin Deep to people of all ages.

He was so busy playing on his tablet he couldn't be bothered to look at the pictures I had pulled up to give him an idea of what I wanted. His short rudely put answer was without a drawing I can't give you any answers. I will spend the hundreds of dollars at a shop that actually wants my money and has people skills. If I could give negative stars I would because 1 star is far more than they deserve.

He gave great after care instructions and although I can't say it was painless, I feel great about my experience at Skin Deep and will go there for all of my tatto and piercings from now on!
