I went in and got a tattoo almost three years ago. My tattoo still looks great and I am still in love with it just as much as I was when it was finished. It was a painting (the original artist was okay with getting it tattooed and Jesse won't do it unless he has permission from the artist) and he replicated it exactly. It took more time than estimated but Jesse was really awesome about how to charge me for the extra time. I had about 5? 4 hour long sessions and each time I was very comfortable. Jesse is really knowledgable. He told me how to properly care for it while it was healing and recommended products to use. This is the best tattoo shop I've ever visited. Whether your ink has a deep spiritual meaning or is simply a nifty design added to your body's canvas, it becomes you. The process of designing, finalizing, and getting a tattoo is taken very seriously by Jesse and his team: they provide great insight from how a tattoo will sit and age on your body to perfecting the tattoo design in such a way you'd think it was going on their bodies! It is a very laid back and relaxed environment and you immediately feel like you're among friends. Jesse and his team are clearly dedicated to their art and you can immediately tell they take great pride in their abilities - as they well should! It is very rare to find a tattoo artist who is so talented over many different art styles, well-versed in different style history, and is great to talk and chat to while planning and getting a tattoo. Ending with the ageless adage, a good tattoo isn't cheap and a cheap tattoo isn't good. Nuclear Ink may not be the cheapest shop around, but their quality and service cannot be beat. I had a great experience at Nuclear Ink. The staff was very friendly and the artist (Jesse Neese) really put me at ease. I love the fact that the shop is all custom so every tattoo is unique and different. I first came to Nuclear Ink with a vague idea of what I wanted (Van Gogh's Starry Night, but in space) and the artist seemed almost excited to do the tattoo as I was to get it. Nuclear Ink was the third place I checked out when I decided to get this tattoo and the artist's and staff's attitude combined with the books of examples of what the artist can do convinced me that this was the right place to have my work done. I had an OK experience. I tried here because of other reviews & recommendations. The pros...like tattoo I finally got. People were friendly. The cons...Expensive. I got other good tattoos (even custom) from other places cheaper. Shop was cold. I was freezing getting my tattoo. Staff kinda unprofessional. Every time went in it took several minutes for the staff to stop talking joking with each other and help me. Artist had attitude. The guy who did my tattoo kept pushing for what he wanted instead of what I wanted. I'll go elsewhere for the next one. Read Less
