I'll start by saying that I live in Omaha now, but will always make the drive to Lincoln in order to come here. Iron brush has been my go-to shop for the past few years. My sister and I did a lot of research before getting our tattoos as this was her first. Literally, these are the nicest people and they know their *stuff too. Our tattooist gave us his opinion on how to style our script tattoos and it came out looking great! We ended up with a more customized and less generic looking script, which makes it more special. I've been back several times for piercings as well. Ethan wasn't the original piercer for my rook but took the time to fix the mistake the OG piecer, from a different city, made. My piercing had started to heal over the jewelry as the post was way too small. Ethan knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. He then helped extract/replace the jewelry to the correct size and since then it has healed perfectly. Ethan has helped me transition into hoops for my nose ring too. He takes his time in helping me and his opinions on which style of jewelry is best for me are spot on. I cannot stress enough how impressed I am with this place. Walking in, I'm always greeted whether or not I'm there for a tattoo or just help with a piercing. A major thing to note about Iron Brush is that besides the people, the shop itself is very welcoming; I feel comfortable walking in there by myself, which I can't say about other shops. This place was very friendly and very clean. One of the bigger tattoo places I've seen which lets them take a lot of clients but they are not impersonal at all. WORST SHOP EVER. Customer service is a zero. I waited for two hours for a tattoo that I was told would be the shops minimum, $60. Then when Eric finally came back from his lunch break to work with me, he said it would be $120. I have another tattoo the exact size with more detail that I paid $60 for. They rip you off! I've been wanting my nose re-pierced for the past three years, and the day I decide to do it, I knew I wanted to go to Iron Brush. I called and they kindly set an appointment for an hour later, but recommended I come in early just in case they didn't have walk ins so I could get through right away. I love this shop. I got my nose pierced here and just got my first tattoo there today. Everyone who works there I've interacted with is really polite. The artists are talented. The artist who did my tattoo (Ann) was so sweet and did a really good job and I really like that she made suggestions to make the idea I had better . I just went today to get my Navel pierced! I actually found out and read about this place the night before, reading and looking through all the artist portfolios! Not kidding first and only Tattoo & Piercing shop I read about in Lincoln, NE! I knew from the moment that I read about this place that I wasn't going anywhere else and if I couldn't get in today I wasn't getting it done. BUT I DID get It done in a very short time that I was there! When we walked in today there was a bunch of people in the shop getting their tattoos, and piercings done. Right when we walked in we were greeted by one of the tattoo artist behind the counter at his station and the guy behind the front desk! They were able to get me in as a walk in appointment! It wasn't Long at all before we were greeted by both of the body piercers which one had me sign my name in and asked me what I wanted. ~~Now a little back story I am absolutely terrified of needles and informed both the body piercers of that! Which they were very attentive to and told me that I had nothing to worry about and that I was gonna be fine. They also told me about how they have this breathing thing they do with you to help you relax before doing and while doing the piercing. Tony got to know me a little and chatted a little bit and helped me with the paper signing and looked over my Id! And just talked about the piercing I wanted and went over a couple things. While Ethan was the one that did my piercing! I informed him again about being afraid of needles and everything and he was completely fine with that and talked to me and just calmed me a little. He told me to take deep breaths in and out the entire time he did the piercing! *READ (GOOD comment about Ethan!)*: Afterwards since I worked myself up so much before I even got it done and just working myself up sitting in the chair I did get lightheaded a little after the first time I stood up. WHICH Ethan asked me before hand if I wanted to wait a while to stand up but since I thought I was fine I thought I could get up so he sat the chair up and I stood up. Even though I thought I was fine I slowly started to loose color in my face and Ethan noticed and told me and insisted that I sat down. I agreed and went back and sat down and he asked me if I was hot and I said yes so he turned on the fan beside me and also asked me if I wanted water and candy. Which he gave me a glass of water and let me choose between the candy that he had snickers, kit cat, butterfinger, and reeses! Then he sat back there the entire time and attended to me the entire time I felt faint, and didn't have color!!! Which I was really really glad he did !! We apologized that I was taking up his time which he informed me that I wasn't taking up his time and he wanted to make sure I was okay!!! Saying the last thing he wanted me to do was to faint and hit my head. Not only that but there was another girl outside of the area I was in that was also feeling lightheaded as well which Ethan also attended to her said it'd be best for her to sit down. While he stayed back in the room with me until I was finally ready to get up and leave. He insisted that we try little at a time and slowly sit me up in the chair! Overall I really enjoyed having Ethan as my piercer! And am very satisfied with what he did! *MY GOOD RATING* Guys I'll say my rating for this place is off the charts AMAZING!!! Very, very, very FRIENDLY AND CLEAN atmosphere!!! Smiles all around ! I give Ethan a beyond amazing rating. I'm not lying guys this place is amazing !!! I would definitely go again if I worked the courage up to get anything else because of my fear . But everyone was so nice! There's a reason there was so many people in there getting things done!! My wife went in to get a simple hand drawn tattoo done. The artist originally argued with the style wanting to add his own flair to the piece (it was hand drawn stick figure by her friend, no changes needed). The artist then pressed the needle hard into her wrist and also her friend's wrist, they both said it felt vindictive in nature because they wanted their own drawings. The tattoo itself was sloppily done and color was out of the lines... it seems that would be simple not to do..My wife complained on Facebook to have the post deleted then they said they would fix it the next time she was in town. She came in almost 2 years later as we were passing through the town. She got the same artist with the same harsh treatment... and he rushed the fixes and messed up the writing... honestly I would have a talk with Brian about how he treats customers, or take him off of the walk in list... She has a full back piece (neck to butt), and a piece on her ribs, she knows how getting a tattoo should feel. She is still in pain almost a week later. I had previously had my septum pierced somewhere else and was devastated to find out it was pierced completely in the wrong spot and was sore for so long that I just took it out. The inspiration photo I took in and the tattoo I got were different. Inspiration tattoo looked like shit compared to what Derek gave me. He did a lot of detail an extras on a simple concept because I sat well despite it being on my foot and because his skills surpassed what I originally had in mind and now I'm so pleased. I'm honestly considering going back to him for a back piece an letting him run wild with a concept because it will be amazing and skilled. I had a great time getting my tattoo by Dave at Iron Brush. I brought in 2 different pictures I liked and made my appt. When I got there he was really friendly, I loved his accent and that he was tattooing left handed! He had made his own design out of what I brought him and I loved it, with the exception of a few minor changes which he was happy to do. When he was done with all the black he decided it needed something else. He ran it by me showing me were he would like to put some shading I think this changed the tattoo for the better 100% I really really appreciated that! Only problem I had was the lady at the counter wanted to take take lunch and asked him a few times if he was almost done so than he felt the need to finish up and colored in my last 2 pieces which now I can tell some spots aren't as darkly colored as others and you can see my skin :( So over all review is that they were great and I will be back again :) Read Less

I have gotten four piercings (tragus, rook, nostril, helix) from Matt at Iron Brush and all four have been great experiences. His passion for piercing with high quality jewelry makes a huge difference in the healing of the piercing. He has a great selection of jewelry to pick from as well.
