I will not go back to this place nor recommend it to anyone, and here's why: I scheduled an appointment two days early and put a $60 deposit down for 8:30. The lady told me the $60 wouldn't count towards the price of the actual tattoo. The day of, the guy was running late and they moved us to 9. We got there 10 minutes early and my friend forgot his id, and the artist (Mike was his name I believe) was short with us about it, but he was the one who was late and moved us back. It took me ten minutes to get the id and then we got started. He told us he didn't have time to do the full design (which was very small, would have taken like ten extra minutes at most) and we agreed that would be fine. We were getting the word 'OREO' on my friend in smaller lettering. The tat turned out fine (nothing special), but it was very small (about 3.5 inches long) and not the full design, and the artist charged me $120 for a simple four letters, and he knew we were college kids who probably couldn't afford that much. My friend said she got a bigger tattoo with more design at Iron Brush for $80. I was very disappointed with this experience and will not recommend nor go back. Read Less

Bright, Bold, and Solid work done at Big O. I just got a tattoo there recently.The staff were extremely helpful and knowlegeable. New to Lincoln, asked the only tattoo shop I've been to here if they did piercings. They said no but immediately suggested Big O. Mark was super cool and when he asked what kind of ring I wanted I said silver ring, go crazy with the ball color. Knowing I didn't want to take my 8 y/o to the mall and have her ears pierced at one of those stores - with one of those guns (gross), I called a few tattoo parlors as well as my daughter's doctor's office. Big O had the best reviews and pricing both on line and from friends who have gone before me, so we decided to go with them. Mark was AMAZING! I previously got my cartilage pierced (with bad results) at another place in town, and had to take it out when it didn't heal and continued to give me pain after several months. After talking to Matt about my concerns with trying again, I was impressed with how friendly and knowledgeable he was about piercings, and decided to go for it. I had the first of 2 or 3 sessions last night with Logan to fix up another artists tattoo I've had for years. Logan is a cool cat with a soft touch. When I woke up this morning to look at the progress all I could do is smile... I can't wait to see the finished product. He is a seriously talented dude. My wife said my old tattoo looked like a generic cereal box, where as Logans work thus far looks like the high dollar box of Kellogg's. This piece means a lot to me as it's my family tree. Best tattoo artists in town hands down. I've only worked with Justin there and his work/portfolio is something to be admired. The half sleeve I had finished up far exceeded my expectations and that has a lot to do with the vision these guys have to really bring your tattoo to life. I've been pierced at many, many places in several states.  I've seen one end of the spectrum to the other and this is by far the cleanest piercing studio (uh, but is that the correct terminology anyway? Um....) that I have been to. The jewelry is high quality AND nice looking. Not dumb looking trashy stuff, in other words. Matt was extremely informative and this is truly an art to him. Love that. By the way, my boyfriend and I once visited every tat place in Lincoln to rate the snotty vibes in each of them.... (I guess this is what we did before having kids for fun. Not sure). He goes through a step by step process every time you get a piercings from him explaining cleaning procedures, the right jewelry to use and what is safe and unsafe to do.
