I’ve lived her in Troy for 3yrs and as we all know there’s not a lot of stuff around. I went to both place’s here in Troy that I knew of and I went with the place that made me most comfortable. Went and spoke a week before to see everything. Then I went back about a week maybe more later with my daughter. I did a floating piercing, which I love and my Daith which I also love. I can’t remember the young lady who pierced me. She had red hair and was very professional sucks I go...t distracted and forgot her name but she did awesome . She was an apprentice, I loved that I could help her out with her career. Who knows maybe she’ll do my future, future piercings. My experience was nice with the employees, we went over a couple prices for a few tattoos. All in all it was chill. If I could rate this place negative I would. Ripped me off 60 bucks by piercing my daiths too far into my ear canal. I'm lucky they didn't do serious damage. They also didn't give me an aftercare sheet or speak to me about how to care for them, which is illegal by the way. I recommend going anywhere but here! Read Less

I have had horrible migraines for about 6 years. I've tried everything & am allergic to migraine medication. They had become so bad that I had to be hospitalized 3 times in the past. Lasting anywhere from 4 days to 5 weeks. I have not gone longer than a few days between migraines in years. I came to The Ink Spot & had both of my daith pierced. I came in with a horrendous migraine. I was shaking, nauseous, having trouble seeing, sound hurt, in terrible pain, dizzy & complete...ly desperate to stop the misery. I didn't notice any difference after the first ear, but as soon as the second one was through, IT ALL DISAPPEARED IMMEDIATELY! I first attributed this to a rush of adrenaline from the piercing, but it never came back! It has been two weeks & NO MIGRAINES! Not even one. This has given me my life back. One really neat other thing that I didn't expect is that I've had a very hard time with car sickness for years. Any time we went on a trip longer that 30 minutes, I'd have to take Dramamine for carsickness. Not anymore! We have been on several trips since the piercings & no car sickness! Just went in to have my 7 year old daughters ears pierced yesterday and they were all so great with her. Robby and Nicole did both ears at the same time so she would have less pain and not a tear was shed . She was very nervous but they made her feel very comfortable and they were super quick. I also had a tattoo cover/touch up done by Matt last summer and he did an awesome job. I will be back in the future for more ink! Read Less

I now live 4 hours away and will be making the drive for any and all additions I make. Big Dave and his crew are incredible!!! He did my first piece which I was just barely 20 and I was scared to death, he helped me tweak it and make it perfect and made it as painless as possible. He was very encouraging and did an AMAZING job!!! And what artists tells you no? An excellent one!!! I went back 2 years ago pretty upset over a recent loss and wanted to get a tat I saw on pintere...st ...I was slightly annoyed when I showed up to my scheduled appointment and he was tatting someone else, but he pulled up a stool and had an hour lomg discussion with me about why that idea I had was a pinterest fad and we came up with an alternative that has a LOT more meaning, art, and individuality.
