The owner, Chris, is a fantastic artist, but don't expect him to follow directions.
He prefers that customers come in with broad ideas and not a solid plan, so that he can create whatever he wants to....
The owner, Chris, is a fantastic artist, but don't expect him to follow directions.
He prefers that customers come in with broad ideas and not a solid plan, so that he can create whatever he wants to.
I came in with a defined idea and a drawing, after he looked at my drawing and said he could do it he immediately veered off track.
He waited until hours before starting my sleeve to have a sketch of his idea, and threw out things I wanted incorporated.
I'm really happy with the final piece, but I would have been happier if it was what I had asked for.

THE BEST experience I have ever had at a tattoo shop. Chris, the owner, has exceeded my expectations! He delivered a masterpiece; took his time, cared about the details, and most importantly, at least for me, the smile barely left his face. He LOVES his job, he is a true artist, and it shows in his art. I recommend him highly to anybody whos looking for a place the DELIVERS. Chris, you are awesome bro!

Did a lot of looking at different artist in the area but then I spoke with Andrew who is one of the artists at the shop. I decided after seeing his work and talking to him that he was the artist I wanted to tattoo me. Once the tattoo started he did a great job of making sure I was comfortable during the entire process. Once the tattoo was finished I couldn't believe how it looked. It looked better than anything I could have imagined. I will highly recommend anyone considering a tattoo too go to art monster. 5 stars

I got my first tattoo here. It was a fundraising event and there was a pre-made design. I cannot stress how much I loved this shop and Chris. He took the design and, as artists do, he made it individual to me. He made sure the placement was perfect and that it worked with the curve of my foot. It turned out better than I imagined. He added in the perfect touches and I feel like he really took my personality into account after only knowing me for about 10 minutes. He walked me... through it and was great with checking in and marking sure I had the best experience. My sister, who has two previous tattoos done by a different artist, came with me and she said she doesn't think she will ever go to a different artist again and wants to come to this shop for her future tattoos!! Overall, we cannot express enough how great this shop was. It was very clean and was set up so that I felt right at home. See More

Finally got my full-color phoenix tattoo that I've waited ages for... I just needed to find the right artist, and I did with Chris! He's incredibly professional and talented, and his shop has the coolest vibe. Art Monster is definitely not your dingy hole-in-the-wall tattoo shop; it literally felt like being in an art studio. Super happy with my very own original Chris Sabatino masterpiece. You don't just get a tattoo at Art Monster; you get your very own original work of art. I can't recommend this place enough.
