Dema did an excellent job of replicating a small cross I have that’s wearing out - it was given to me many years ago by a very good friend and I wanted more than just a picture to remember her by. Came in for a piece dedicated to my family, I should have waited for a more seasoned artist, but really wanted it done. The person assured me he could do it, when he was done I was a bit upset! There was a few flaws in the tattoo, and this was a personal piece to me!I talked to the owner who told me that everything is guaranteed. I didn't think there was any way to save it, and make it "perfect." I walked in the other day, the owner said he would squeeze me in. After waiting a bit he looked at it and reassured me it was fixable; I thought for sure it needed blacked out! John spent every bit of an hour and a half correcting all the flaws! He was able to blend flesh tones to take out imperfections, and gave me additional shading making the tattoo pop! I had been thinkong about a tattoo for years! Finally went and got the first on my right arm with Taz on a motorcycle with my sons name under it! John Faciono did suxh a great job let my 9yr old daughter go pick one! She picked a skull with flames then had a special request! My experience with this place was awful! My husband had called to supposedly set up an appointment for me to get a tattoo for my mothers day gift. I was so excited and scared, my first tattoo, mind you. I get there and say that I was there to get a tattoo. Well they all act clueless, have to go talk to the owner who acted like he had no idea of what the heck I was talking about. He then tells me that he'll take me as a walk in client, like they're just so packed, I was the only one there!!!! I actually wanted color but felt like such a burden I said no, I walked out of that place and bawled, I have never been treated so poorly. His attitude sucked and he was so rude! I will NEVER recommend them to anyone and will make sure to tell everyone about my experience. Being a business owner you would think you would know how to treat people but apparently not this guy. I should've went with my gut feeling, that place was not for me, trashy! What was supposed to be fun and exciting ended up being shot down real quick, prices may be alright but I'd rather pay double and be treated with respect. Read Less

majority of my tattoos were done at home by my dad since he's a tattoo artist and then i went to Ink Ink one time and they sucked ass, so Ink Slingers was really my first real shop experience and i've gotten five tattoos (one from Curtis, four from Nikki �) and a nipple piercing (thanks John!) and i've made friends out of the employees they're all super great in their own ways, are sanitary, professional, positive, respectful, and do great work. i won't go anywhere else in springfield for ink work. My daughter went here exactly 43 days ago and had a tat inked of a feather and the script "Stay Strong".It looked horrible when we left,but we're told 'free touch ups for your lifetime,come back in 40 days' okay fine.She was scheduled today at 1:30 for a touch up,at 12:50 she received a text saying.." I was wondering if we could reschedule our appt for sometime next week,I really need to get some money under my belt bills and stuff" NO Curtis,we are done,we have a spot at Sacred Art tonight to fix this screw up.Very unprofessional and VERY unhappy.Never again. Three out of the four tattoos I have was worked on here. I regret the one that was not. They offered to touch the small heart on my wrist up for me, which I still need done! I absolutely love this place and the employees have your best interest in mind. Jason completed a phrase on my forearm and a cross on my shoulder blade. John created a dream catcher on my arm. No idea why someone would think this location is unclean...My wife wanted to get a tattoo, part of her "bucket list", Ink Slingers was totally professional during the entire process. They went out of their way in my opinion to explain the process and what was going to happen to her. I myself have 4 tattoo's 3 of which were from other countries 30 years ago and Ink Slingers seemed far more sanitary and knowledgeable than the other places I had been. All the materials Ink Slingers used were safety sealed and sanitation was continuously held as a priority. My wife (in her 50's) chose a simple flash design, but even as walkin's and a simple design, she was treated as if she was getting full sleeves done. Autoclave, single pack disposable needles, smoking outside the shop, everything covered in plastics (from the clip cord AND the power supply to the actual tattoo machine and even the counter holding the small ink cups). One of the shops I had stopped into while looking to see where she might want to go for her tattoo.... the owner had a dog in his lap and he was smoking... he ran in the back room to hide his dog when he seen my car lights in the window.Of course it's only been a couple hours since she'd gotten her tattoo... but the line work and colors look to be great. I'm not one to just give out kudos... and as far as tattoo's go, it normally takes a bit of time to really see how they come out... but so far... well let me say it like this... my wife has already suggested me going back to Ink Slingers to get my older tattoos touched up so they look as nice as hers.
