I got my first tattoo about 5-6 weeks ago. I went in for my appointment with Ryan. I was greeted by the nicest people (one woman was owner, I forgot her name) who were so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I then met Ryan and we went over what I wanted and he made sure we were on the same page. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my tattoo!!!! It's better than I imagined and I love looking at it all the time! Big Bear was absolutely amazing. I got my very first tattoo there just last night, my mom and I both got small tattoos done. I was super intimidated and nervous as it was my first time, but everyone there was so incredibly kind and thoughtful. Ryan Helmering did our tattoos and he did an absolutely perfect job, capturing exactly what we wanted. I went into Big Bear Tattoo today, I recently celebrated 6 months clean and wanted to get something to remind that when life happens on life's terms I just need to breath and take it one day at a time after all the way I got six months clean was one day at a time. With that being said I picked the perfect place to go to have such a personal piece done. The entire staff was super friendly and every staff member I told what I was getting and why went above and beyond to show their support by congratulating me and letting me know what I was doing was awesome. Now on to the man of the hour Bob Bayer he was so laid back and made me feel so comfortable he made me feel like I was right at home Thank-you Bob!! Bob puts u right at ease. I've gotten my first 2 tattoos done by Bob over the past year. I was nervous about the process and what to expect from a pain standpoint but was quickly put at ease by Bob and Terri. Both tattoos came out beautiful and more than I expected. This last visit felt like I was out with friends for the night - they were professional about my tattoo, but we had great fun conversations with staff and other customers as well. I waited a while in life to get tattoos.  I wanted to wait until I knew for sure what I wanted.  My tattoos represent transitions and things I have gone through or overcome in my life. I know that without a doubt if I had done it when I was younger, I would be removing a stupid A** boyfriend's name that I shouldn't have inked.  When I chose Big Bear it was on gut instinct. It isn't my first tattoo but it IS my biggest, and I was a little nervous about that. Kenny Reynolds is a very approachable and talented artist. He was very interested in my input and his variation and interpretation of what I wanted was SPOT ON! I am so happy with my new tattoo.  If I could give you a 6 (because it's 1 more than 5) I would. This place is awesome! The owners Terri and Bob are most excellent! The place is very clean. Filled with so many different choices of tattoos. Kenny, Mark, Christina, along with Bob are the artists. They make you feel really at home. Moma Terri will even hold your hand and give you a hug. Definitely come check them out, you won't regret it.
