I was seen by Derek and got a very scarred tattoo that had a lot of blowout. I went to multiple different shops and even asked Tony who also works at rockstar if it was the artists fault it's like this or another reason, without knowing it was done by someone else at the shop he agreed that the artist majorly screwed up which is the answer I always got. I really like Derek but that's on my body permanently and I get everyone has bad days but if that were the case then I would have rescheduled.  They seem to only care about tattoos if it's their own design. I also got a few piercings done there, a vch and navel, and both were very shallow and I had to take them out. They all seem like great people but be more professional and take a little more care of EVERY client, you shouldn't just pick and choose when to do a good job. Read Less

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience.  Derek was my artist and I love the work he did! Everyone was very nice but the work I got (two tattoos) had scarring and blowout. Also had three piercings from there, two of which were too shallow and rejected, I was able to get them repierced by another professional who told me they weren't pierced properly. All proper care was taken on my behalf and I treat all my mods with care. I've gotten other tattoos with no incident but I'm very disappointed in the scarring and blowout because my artist was a sweetheart and his work was beautiful, I absolutely adored him. Amazing! I came to this shop, wanting to add around a previous tattoo- I had Bobby Black as my artist - and an artist he was! sketched it out on my skin- .... & then He went to work,  I was out within the hour- everything I could of asked for! I was referred to Dustin Jones, and I had a great experience. This shop was very clean and the guys working here were all very friendly. Unfortunately I made the m,istake of going to a different place to have my 1st tattoo done and left crying, not from the pain, from the work.After healing it quickly I went to Rock Star to try to get it fixed. I had a very good experience at Rock Star, Pat is a great artist and Donnie(sp) was honest with me about what could be done with the tattoo I already had gotten some where else:( I would recommend Rock Star to anyone. As a matter of fact Im in the process of letting the pervious tattoo from some where else heal completely so I can go back to Rock Star to have it covered. Over all 5 star experience compared to other place. As said before...Wish I had gone there 1st! Now Im left with one bad tattoo on the back of my neck and one good one from rock star. Rockstar is AWESOME! I know a few people who have had bad experiences there, but that was a long time ago and the problem was with people who no longer work there. I have been going to Wolfman for years and I would never think of going to another artist...Anywhere he works must be great!!! They have great prices and are willing to work with you and help you draw up whatever you want! Rockstar tattoo is the best place to get a tattoo. if it's your first or your 20th! they artist are friendly, and make you feel like your just hanging out when your at their shop. there prices are amazing and the work is flawless. i've had two really great tattoos come out of that shop. i deffently recommand Rockstar over Threshold any day!!! I would have rated this shop lower if possible. This place is lucky that most people won't know a bad tattoo the first time around...........then its too late. Rockstar tattoo is great! I just went back and got my nose pierced there and their price was WAY below the ""compitition"" I'm talking like $15 less than the other shops. These guys are awesome and I have had all my friends get their tattoos and piercings there because you get quality artwork with great price. This shop has three no BS tattooers who do what they do because they love to tattoo. They aren't money-mongers who don't care about why you're getting the tattoo or who try to sell you something that you didn't really want in the first place. They will work with you to develop your ideas into something beautiful, something cool, something original. And what's really nice is that they respect the old-school traditions of tattooing that a lot of shops have forgotten about. My favorite artist is Steve Hardin - I have a lot of his work. I'd follow him to any shop that he works in, anywhere. He was trained by one of the world's finest tattooers - Tony Olivas - and Steve's work is SMOKIN'. Steve has a high level of integrity and is honest with me; he knows different techniques and how to make something work for me. What more could I ask for? I trust him - and knowing that these tattoos are going to be on my body for the rest of my life, I better be able to trust the person doing them. Steve's awesome - I highly recommend his work. I have never felt a more welcome and comfortable atmosphere! I've had quite a few tattoos done there and they are the best ones I have and the price was AWESOME! I paid alot more at other places and there not half as good. You can come in and give Jason,Dan or Steve an idea of what you want and they'll draw it just how you want it or they have awesome original designs! Excellent tattoo artists. I have never felt better about being tattooed in this place, especially since Dennis is gone. My wife and I never EVER felt like she was treated bad. This place now has the absolute WORST artists in the area. Just when I thought that Threshold was the most pathetic excuse for a tattoo studio, I see the joke called rockstar. Jason, Steve, and Dan, are not artists at all, they're nothing more than backroom hacks. This place is so disgusting, and overpriced. They used to have an artist who was AMAZING, Dennis I think was his name, not exactly sure though. I saw alot of his work, and he tattooed a lot of my friends, but I never got a chance to get tattooed by him before he left, guess he saw what a joke those guys are as well. This place has gone way downhill. I used to get tattooed there by Dennis, he is by far the best in the area. The guys there now could never stack up. The work is horrible, especially for the price, and females are treated badly. I used to love the place, I'll never go back there, and wouldn't recommend ANYONE go either.
