Royal ink has the best artists around bg far, they are deifdefini worth the wait! Matt Van Hoozer was my artist for my tomohawk tattoo and it turned out amazing it's definitely my favorite tattoo that I've ever gotten! My entire family goes to Royal ink, we prefer Matt Van Hoozer but all of the artists are extremely talented. I don't recommend any other shop honestly! Read Less

LOVE this studio! Tony is probably the best tattoo artist I have ever had the pleasure to be tattooed by. I've got well over 20 tattoos, so I don't say that lightly. Everyone in the shop is super friendly, not pretentious at all, unlike some other shops I've been to. In addition to the amazing work that Tony does, he is amazingly affordable. This place is fantastic. Matt did a panther tattoo on my left shoulder and everyone comments on what a great job he did. I was thrilled to find a tattoo shop literally right down the street from us in lil old Republic, MO! They do great work, have very competitive pricing, and are very amiable. Matt and Saville are both very friendly and easy to work with. They work with you to make sure you get what you want, while offering suggestions that help ensure it actually turns out like you want it to. I have had 3 tattoos and 2 piercings there, and I would absolutely NEVER go ANYWHERE else. Matt is an amazing artist. Every piece of art I brought in he liked, but he helped me to turn it into an even better tattoo. And Saville was very patient with my piercings--I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to pain, and she talks me through it while working quickly and efficiently. I plan to go back soon. ROYAL INK TATTOO AND PIERCING IS TOTALLY WICKED! I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get any work done. I also want to note that I have never even needed a touchup but one time, and then he did it no problem, I just walked right in and he did it in about a minute, no questions asked and no charge. Maybe some people just don't communicate what they really need, but trust me when I say that Matt and Saville are both great about working with you to ensure your satisfaction. Also, I feel compelled to point out that if it was "nothing like you wanted" you would have noticed that when he applied the decal and it could have been fixed then...that makes it virtually impossible for a tattoo to turn out as "horrible" as you describe, and I know for a fact that he shows you the decal and placement and ensures you are happy with it before he even touches the tattoo gun. I had my first tattoo done at a different place and was content with the service. I was so pleased to find a tattoo shop so close to home. I automatically liked the shop as soon as I walked in. I got a tattoo done here by Matt. It was nothing like what I wanted, when I asked him to fix it he refused to do it and said it was fine. He told me that he has been tattooing for five years, but I found out that he's only been doing it for a couple of months. I do not recomend this place to anyone. Their service is horrible and their tattoos are just as horrible if not worse! Their just crooks that are wanting your money! Making a trip to Springfield to get tattooed is well worth it! Read Less
