One of my favorite tattoo shops! It's super chill and clean. I've come in for walk ins and they're always really nice, patient and happy to work with me. Tj and JP do great line work!

Top notch establishment. All of the staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and talented at their craft.
Waldo's Darkside has appropriate and competitive pricing. If you think a piece is over priced, maybe you should rethink getting a tattoo in the first place. Sure, you could pay less somewhere else but you are going to end up getting something one of these guys will have to touch up. In the tattoo world, you get what you pay for.
The shop itself is full of great decor and they always have movies rolling to help pass the time. The place is always clean and spotless and the staff pay very close attention to keeping the shop a safe, sanitary studio.
To the reviewer that "claimed there were cockroaches".. I highly doubt anything like that was observed. I would like to know where you studied entomology. It sounds like someone got a price or answer they didn't want to hear. All tattoo and piercing shops have to maintain a clean "hospital like" level of sanitation to continue to keep their license to operate.
I have gotten a lot of work done here and will continue to have all future work here as well. The best and friendliest place in Kansas City hands down.

Nice and friendly...however I do NOT recommend getting your tattoo done in a place with COCKROACHES! They don't appear to over run the place but I saw at least two in just a 20 min time frame...that says to me they are NOT a very sanitary establishment.
Their work seems nice though if you're willing to risk it..we aren't.

These guys are great. Always super professional and reasonably priced. I've got 5 tattoos from Brett and refuse to go to anyone else now. JP is an amazing artist as well. Great atmosphere.

Got my tat done yesterday and the artists were really chill and friendly. Clean place, they showed me the sealed, new, clean needle before beginning. Really reasonable pricing. I got a signature tatto...
Got my tat done yesterday and the artists were really chill and friendly. Clean place, they showed me the sealed, new, clean needle before beginning. Really reasonable pricing. I got a signature tattooed on my inner wrist and it looked exactly like the copy. Also- this was the only place that wasn't rude about me wanting the signature facing me instead of upside down.

My husband had a piece done by Patrick and it was terrible. So terrible that instead of going back and having him finish he is having to have it covered. He consulted with several differant artists afterwards and they all agreed that they could not fix it. He tried to talk to Patrick and he responded by saying that sending him a message that he was unhappy on a day he was drinking was not smart. Not a very professional response.

Waldo's Darkside has appropriate and competitive pricing. If you think a piece is over priced, maybe you should rethink getting a tattoo in the first place.
