I've been here two times before and my tattoos turned out great. However, i came back about a week ago and got a very uneven one done by an artist who almost seemed intoxicated. He told me he was light handed but he was the harshest artist I've ever had tattoo me. I was bleeding like crazy and got the thickest scabs I've ever experienced. I cleaned and moisturized it appropriately and it still got infected due to how deep the needle went. It looks so bad and there is ink missing all over. I have scarring where he went the hardest and it's already faded. Worst tattoo experience of my life. Go somewhere else. Read Less

I came here with my Mom yesterday to get her first tattoo! We drove around to a few different studios, but Irezumi was the only one that had walk-in appointments available.Chris was our tattoo artist and he did a great job. He helped my Mom feel comfortable and at ease. Her design was rather fine, and it translated very well onto her skin. We found all the artists to be very welcoming and friendly, which isn't always the case at tattoo studios! Cash only- but they have an ATM on-site. Also, their prices are very reasonable! It's now been one week since I got my tattoo at irezumi and I'm thrilled with the results. Dennis did my tattoo and was very easygoing and polite. I had never gotten a tattoo before and he made sure I was completely comfortable throughout the process. I initially didn't like the sketch of the tattoo so he changed it up a bit and I loved the second version. Since I haven't had any tattoos before I can't compare the healing process to past tattoos but from talking to friends with tattoos and just judging myself it has healed beautifully. It was a little sore for the first couple days as expected and then started to scab a little on the most concentrated areas where there is the most ink. It's currently a bit flaky and is hardly sensitive whatsoever. I'm thrilled with the results and would definitely come back for future tattoos down the road and recommend coming here. Read Less

I went to Irezumi today wanting a belly button ring. Devin was awesome and answered all my questions! Unfortunately, my belly button has a funky shape which gave me a high chance for a piercing bump. I was blown away about all the time she took to answer my questions and that she was so honest with me in the first place. I am a lifeguard as well which raised some concern because of the possibility the water would give me an infection (because I was planning on swimming just days later). She was so honest and I am so glad they told me the truth! This place came recommended by a friend. I'm so glad I went here for my first tattoo and quite possibly all the rest. I walked in without an appointment and got my tattoo the same day. The shop is clean, well-decorated, and roomy. It is easily the nicest tattoo shop I've been in. These guys are professionals and act like it. I just left Irezumi and couldn't be happier. Jesus was awesome. I walked in with no wait time. I was shopping around getting quotes and I went to freaks first and not only was there a long wait but they quoted me more on the cost and didn't seem confident in being able to recreate the image I gave them. You guys need to update your website. I am a minor and recently tried getting my tongue pierced but couldn't because it is a "functional" piercing. Went in and and wanted a wave with a little detail, wasn't actually planning on getting the tattoo today I was assuming they would schedule me an appointment. I had Dallas, he drew something up, i immediately loved it and before i knew it i was getting the tattoo already! Called to speak with my wife's tattoo artist as he asked us to call him for follow up appointment. The guy at the front who answers the phone tells me to drive down to speak with him. I need to speak with him not spend 2 hours in a car for a 3 minute conversation. Then I ask if I can leave a message or get his cell number and this is the exact response I received " I'm not giving you his fucking cell number I don't know who the fuck you are or why you need it" then I ask to speak to the owner as you don't talk to customers that way and he tells me to fuck off and hangs up on me. What a rude jerk who's lucky I'm not there to bust his mouth open. Will never get anything done at this shop again. What a joke of an operation. I've always admired all of the work I've seen coming out of this place. I recommended it to my buddy for his first tattoo, so we went in a couple weeks ago. I wasn't aware they'd moved to a new location in the same area, and this one suits the atmosphere. Chris was awesome, especially with it being my friend's first tattoo. Great experience, clean, sterile, light handed (from what I heard) and non-intimidating.. until after. We saw an artist lose it on a potential client in the foyer when she asked him to redraw a design. I know it's one artist out of a group and people have bad days, but I mean. It was a bit loud and abrasive for something that is inherently part of your job.. you could always charge by the hour and include the consult/redrawing if it upsets you that much, as I heard varying price scales coming from each artist. He had the nerve to ask her if she still wanted him to tattoo her. If I knew his name, I'd give it. We love Steve at Irezumi! My husband started going to him when they had their location in the crossroads and followed him when they consolidated everyone in Waldo. Steve has done a few pieces on my husband and some touch-ups of his previous tattoos. He's also done one for me, my sister, and has worked on several of our friends. I recommend him to anyone who asks. He has clean lines, is honest about how things could turn out, and gives advice on what will work best. Listen to his advice! Me, my son and my daughter went for our first tattoos today. Found Irezumi here on Yelp and the reviews were good and looked like the place for us. We showed up just after lunch and were met by B - an awesome front man for the shop. By a stroke of luck we got Dennis who was available to do all three of our tattoos without having to go back with an appointment. Have to say - Dennis was great. He took the images we brought in and talked us through best positioning and made sure we got what we wanted. Dennis was also really good with my daughter as she was a little worried as he started and he made sure she was ok and didn't push thru it too fast. Irezumi's used to be Stigmata Piercing and Tattoos. 17 years ago I got my first tat, tounge pierced, then nose pierced then it changed to Irezumi's. I got two more tattoos through them. I went here to buy a new piece of jewelry for my daith. Bought a $60 piece that was supposedly the highest quality and would not tarnish.. Weeks later I begin to notice a blue/green discharge coming from my piercing and my piece of jewelry changing color as well. I've recently moved and went to a different piercing location to have it checked out, entire back of the piercing was corroded and bendable, I was actually able to snap the jewelry in half once the piercer took it out. For a "high quality" piece of jewelry that they are selling for $60 there is no way this should have happened. Read Less

After calling around to a few places inquiring about my small hand tattoo and about to give up because other tattoo shops wouldn't do a hand tattoo, were rude, or were booked for the night..I finally decided to call Irezumi.I had been there once before in my early 20's but it wasn't my go to spot.Right away, the woman who answered the phone was so friendly!!  She answered all my questions, said they did hand tattoos, answered my question of why other places are against doing hand tattoos, and said I would be able to just walk in!When I arrived..the shop was so clean and different!
