Artist was running late for my appointment, said she couldn't do tattoo due to the condition of my skin; to dry, sun damaged, thin, etc.. She offered to do another time. Then she went on to her next appointment. I knew that she didn't want to do my tattoo because she was rushed and acting very anxious. I decided I did not want her to touch me and not to go back to her. I asked for my $100 deposit returned (the deposit she made me pay for the scheduled time slot that I didn't receive, I had to make the time for the appointment as well) and told me that I used up the deposit with consultation & the time she gave me when she was explaining why she wouldn't do my tattoo. I emailed her and her replies are misspelled & some incoherent. She is not consistent in her writing & conflicting with her information. Basically seems like lies. I can't understand them & have them saved if anyone would like to read. Personally, I think she has some serious personal issues. Scary. She lacks people skills, and I feel she is unstable dealing with the public. I read another review here and now I understand exactly what the person was talking about. I went to another artist within the same week and had multiple tattoos done same day and a complete sleeve in a few weeks from my visit with her. Bottom line is that she was running late, got anxious & nervous. I am glad because I would not want her to touch me. Good luck if you must deal with her & you have an issue. I've gotten all of my tattoos from Jessica and I don't think I'll ever be able to go anywhere else. She is incredible in every aspect of the experience. She's so knowledgeable and talented. Her shop is gorgeous and feels like a home away from home. She gives the best aftercare advice and will answer any questions you have. My husband and I both get our tattoos from her and we've brought a couple other people who all love her now too!! I'm glad there's someone truly talented in this area. St. Louis needs more eclectic, something other than traditional. I've never had a worse experience with a tattoo artist! Besides her level of unprofessionalism and horrible bedside manor, she butchered my arm doing irreparable damage! The level of scarring from not only the initial tattoo but just the touch ups alone is ridiculous and resembles that of someone with no experience. She claims to have years of tattooing under her belt, but her work does anything but represent that! I would never go back to her shop or recommend her to even my worst enemy! She overcharges for the mediocre quality of work she puts out and will publicly degrade you on social media if you say anything to her about it. Jessica is a great artist. I am surprised that she is here in little old Festus. A while back in my youth I made a bad decision and got a small tribal tattoo. Jessica was able to to cover it up with a beautiful koi fish. The shading and flow of the piece is incredible and I love it lots. Well worth driving 5+ hours from Chicago!!Her artwork is outstanding! She explains everything throughly. I've been to other shops where you're treated more like a money maker rather than an actual person, so finding Seed of Life is like finding a hidden gem.
