Came here for a walk-in. Talked to a few people and was told whoever was going to do my tattoo had a few in front of me, and it would be around an hour to get me in, which was fine by me. Two hours later, somebody who came in later than me is getting their tattoo started, and nobody from the shop had spoken a word to me. At that point I just left. I get that if they had an appointment they go ahead of me, but i have no idea if they did because nobody would acknowledge I was even there. I've had my last 5 body piercings done here, all by Andy. All of those 5 piercings were placed perfectly and healed well. I was given great care instructions as well as advice on jewelry. Andy does a great job. He's even talked me out of some (now admittedly) dumb piercings. I wanted a dermal implant on my finger and I work with my hands.. Very thankful for his advice. This is a great place if you don't care about what you get, or about being jerked around. My daughter is an artist, and she designed a tattoo for me. I shopped artists for months and found a few we thought capable of reproducing her work. At the bottom of the list was one person from this shop. Because of location I wanted it, the picture would need to be shrunk down a little. We were given a quote for between $100 and $150 and told it would be no problem, but due to personal circumstances I needed to put it off until recently. We called to try and make an appointment, since it is nearly an hours drive from me. We were told that it wouldn't be an issue getting in, but it was walk in only. On the way we were behind a car accident and so we called to get in letting them know we were on the way. We were told that it would not be an issue getting in and they still would not let us make an appointment. Now here is when the real issues started. We arrived and they had no availability. We were told "It's tax season on a Friday, so I do't know what to tell you." That is not the bad part. The guy then decided HE wanted to redesign the tattoo my daughter had made. What we wanted was not relevant. The fact this was a tattoo designed by my daughter simply did not matter. He was going to do it HIS way and change a LOT of elements. In addition, he could not shrink it down like EVERY OTHER artist said they can. Now maybe they are not skilled enough, but more likely it is that a bigger tattoo costs more and they were trying to get more money from us. We were then quoted a new price and instead of $100-$150, it was now going to be $300+. So if you want to get jerked around and have someone try and hustle you for money then put whatever they feel like on you, then this is the place for you. Read Less

Have been going to bleeding heart seeing various artists for the last 10 years. I can say without a doubt that although everyone I've deal with there, Jared takes the cake. He is very friendly and personable and does a gray job at making you feel comfortable. Also full of knowledge. The shop is more inviting than most. Each artist stopped and talked. All very professional and they are very clean. Bob did an entire upper back piece on me and the next day a partial sleeve. I told him what I had in mind and he drew this beautiful flower. Nice clean lines. He's the man. He'll be the only person to ink me. And I still have lots to do. Andy has now done my last 5 of my 6 piercings (we shall not talk about who did #1. they screwed it up royally & since it was my first I was naive & decided to trust the piercer since I figured he knew what he was doing. I ended up taking it out & letting it heal & Andy redid that one for me.) He always been great & didn't give me shit for my irrational fear of needles (ironic considering I love my tattoos & piercings and plan on more). He was also really patient when I went in & had 3 done at once and kept stopping to make sure I was doing okay. I have a tattoo on my left inner forearm, I was never completely thrilled with it. When our entire family went to Butchs for our semi-colon tattoos done by Steve Bayman, I talked to him about making my left arm better, prettier, with his talent and use of color. I came here and got my lip pierced for $20. It was my first time in the shop and I was liking it! Unfortunately, I didn't know that their usual piercer was away and someone had filled in for him. I had my lip pierced and it ended up crooked and wasn't healing properly (keep in mind I have had many piercings and have had my lip area pierced around 5 times). He never asked me where to place the piercing and I found that odd but figured he knew what to do. I was upset in the end⋯⋯ and took it out a few days later. I heard Andy was back in town so I decided to go once more. I told him my story as he was piercing my nose (my 2nd nostril piercing) and he gave me the piercing on the house!! Got 2 tattoos and he screwed them both up. I told him what I wanted and he took liberties that i didn't agree to. So now I have a tattoo that is not what I wanted. And another one that he did wrong! So I don't recommend them! Plus if your not young and hot then your not worth their attention. Never going there again. I will drive all the way out to bleeding heart for now on! I've not had the pleasure of a tattoo by Butch. My husband however has a great deal of his work all over his body & I admire it often. My turn is in aug & I cant wait! I gave inspiration & will get a unique design! He is especially good at skulls, gore & black n white. Don't expect to walk in and get a tat from him - always booked months in advance but its worth the wait! I know he has other good artists lined up and waiting to prick you! Read Less
