When I walked in last night, around 8:30 pm, the woman greeted me and was friendly. But said it was too late and they were cleaned up for the night. She refused to take me. Mind you it was to change a piece of jewelry. So the man who helped me came off arrogant but he said he will do it. I was glad because i drove there thinking it wouldn't be a problem just to change out a piece of jewelry that I bought from there shop. Anyway during the consultation, he seemed agitated due to the fact I was even there. I asked for a smaller post on my jewelry. Anyway it was a very uncomfortable experience. My mom, sister and I stopped in for small tattoos and our experience was great. All staff was patient with our changes and accommodated requests as best as possible. Loved the service I received. The man who did my piercing first asked if I had ever been to a tattoo parlor, which I have not, and based my experience of of that. He made sure I was very comfortable and walked me through my nose piercing. I was astonished at how honest he was. He told me each step and made sure I was okay with each one. This place is awesome. Marx is an awesome guy with tons of talent. Kyle, Who typically greets you when you walk in is so laid back and helpful. People have to understand this is a walk in shop and even though a tattoo may seem "small" doesn't mean it is so they may not be able to fit you in right then and there. They take appointments for large pieces and customize it to your style. All the men are extremely respectful and this shop doesn't leave a bad "douchey" impression on you like other shops may. Maddy B.'s claim of Ransom's unprofessionalism are completely opposite of any of my experiences with him, and Samantha S.'s remark that no women work here is wholly false, as my favorite tat was done here by Jessie who is very much a woman.This is an incredibly clean, chill shop with talented, professional artists. I've had a couple pieces done where I was very indecisive and probably annoying, but they were very patient and kind and made sure I loved what I walked away with, which I always do. I was a bit apprehensive about going to this place because I wasn't familiar with the shop or any of the artist. Compared to the last tattoo place I've been to it's a little more expensive but the work is of greater quality. Austin was my artist, funny guy! They have great customer service from the artist to the receptionist! The guys were so patient despite me being apprehensive and indecisive. Austin did an amazing and concise job, so far everyone has loved my tattoo. The shop is very clean and neat, it is mostly a walk-in shop unless you want a larger piece then you have to make an appointment. Had my labret pierced here in 2010. And on Friday got both tragus done by Ryan. It is clean, they are friendly, and very professional... They tell you the price beforehand so there are no surprises. I came in on a Saturday to get a cover up done. I have never been here before but was recommended to go by a friend who has been before. My artist was Kris. I showed him a picture and he drew exactly what I wanted. It looked even better than I had envisioned. Being a coverup I knew it wouldn't be easy but Kris did a phenomenal job! Walked in today on a limb to get a piercing. Steve was at the front and greeted me as soon as I walked in. He took my license, I filled out paper work, and got pierced. He was very professional, and made me feel very comfortable. The tattoo salon was clean, and they were busy. He walked me through what he was going to do, in the end i watched him throw the needle in the box, and he also sanitized the bed in front of me. Gave them a simple piece of art to outline and add one thing too, and they fucked it up completely. Went back and was very polite just trying to get it fixed and the artist 'Ransom' got super offended and tried telling ME it was a great piece of art. So I asked for my tip back if there was nothing they could do to fix it, because why would I leave a nice tip for a piece I'm not satisfied with? I had my daughter's memorial tattoo done here. I talked with the artist for a awhile regarding what I wanted and reserved a block of time a couple weeks out. Had a 6 hour sitting and have gotten nothing but postive reviews on my tattoo. My son and I both have gotten tattoos at Rose of No Man's so when my son went in yesterday evening for a walk in he understood that sometimes they can't fit you in.  He, as a return customer, talked to the person at the counter and was told to come back in today.  He went 1/2 hour before they opened and sat in the car.  Three minutes before they opened a group of 5 people came up to the door and got in before he did.  By the time he got to the counter he was again told that there was no time today.  There are two tattoo artists working and the group had a total of 4 tattoos.  The shop is supposed to be open for 5 hours, for a total of 10 working hours between the artists.  Unless these 4 tattoos are 1/2 day events there should have been some time for him later in the afternoon.  However, the counter person and the artists would not even entertain the possibility of seeing him later in the day.  He is very frustrated with their attitude and walked away thinking he will find another "regular" shop.  Unfortunate for Rose, since he is the kind of target market that shops need for their bread and butter - young and addicted with money to spend....sorry Rose of No Man's....you lost not just my son, by myself and his best friend who also observed your unprofessional and arrogant behaviors.  We are all addicted to tattoos and all have money to spend on the pleasure.  You just won't be getting our money. Very talented staff. I had Ransom do my first tattoo- it is about 10-12", no fill (line design) on my side-stomach. He was very friendly, very talented, and gentle with the needle. If I ever went back to have it filled- I'd ask for Ransom B. I like it just as is- and my hubby really likes it!! They use one time use sterile needles and ink, very clean. I accidentally stumbled upon this tattoo shop and it was the best mistake of my life! I've had two tattoos done by Austin Gibson which have both healed perfectly and were drawn up with an amazing artistic eye, his line work is spot on and I can find no faults in either one of my tattoos done by him. I just got tattooed by Josh Edwards last night and it was an amazing experience! The tattoo turned out beautifully and is way better than I ever imagined it to be! I also got my belly button pierced by Ryan Malone about a week and a half ago and it was an amazing experience. He went totally out of his way to get me the jewelry that I wanted, even though it meant extra work for him! All in all, I'm so impressed with this shop that I've been telling everyone about how amazing they all are. Had a touch up done here a year ago and it was decent so came back with my siblings because we were thinking of getting a family tattoo. Called ahead a few days prior and they said we could just do a walk in. Went in an a man with a red beard told us there wasn't enough time to do the tattoo because they were closing in3 hours. We asked if he could draw something and he told us "we don't just draw stuff, come back when you know what you want"... we new exactly what we wanted but okay. My sister and I were contemplating a piercing so while she was asking him about when would be a better to come back for the tattoo I went on my phone to look up the piercing I wanted. Got my nose pierced here, the workers are super nice and enjoyable to be around. Atmosphere is laid back & nice. The time it took after i walked in the shop to get it pierced was so quick and they made sure to tell me all of the aftercare instructions to make sure my piercing healed! For those who hate on this place, I can tell you they do what's right, even if you don't know any better.  I went in to get my first tattoo at 41 last fall with my wife (as my wife has gotten a lot of her tattoos here). We wanted one thing and they explained to us some possible concerns on what we were thinking of (tattoo rings and small script) and we changed our minds and got something else. Other tattoo shops wouldn't care enough and just done what we asked about. The experience and quality was great, so I'm going back soon and paying them to draw up a custom memorial as well.They are good and do get busy, but if it's a tattoo or piercing are you really concerned about the speed of which it gets done or how quick you get in? I will never go here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. I had really been looking forward to a new tattoo and when I showed my idea to a unenthusiastic artist, he said it would need to large. I asked him if it were possible to draw up a rough draft so I had an idea of how big it would be. He refused and said he'd only draw something up if I planned on committing to it. I decided to go with a different tattoo idea which I've regretted ever since. Zero stars (Yelp requires at least one) he dropped the earring into my ear. I understand these things happen but I mean the other places I have gone to for earnings put a mess cloth In your ear so these things don't happen. He was way unprofessional about it panicking and pacing the floor. I was scared and he made it much worse. We are currently pressing charges for my medical bill as well as pain and suffering because the earring affected my hearing and it is still an issue. Never come here. He even wanted me to pay at the end. Are you kidding me!? Prices are way over the top too. Come one now   Charges are pending with lawyers and insurance company. I would recommend some place else. Also before this even happened I walked in and the guy was on his phone FaceTimeing someone and told me to wait while he finished his conversation. Also I walked into the room and it didn't seem very clean. I walked in on a Saturday (I know..busy day) and expected to wait a while. I gave someone my art and was told they'd call me in an hour and a half -two hours. Now my art wasn't giant and I understand prioritizing others pieces. Once Two and a half hours passed I returned to the shop and was told "it'll be soon" and like messages. All this while others were being tattooed (small wrist pieces and simple lettering) and their art was being reviewed. It wouldn't have been a big deal--but when I walked up to the desk to find out how much longer they told me no artist had picked up my art yet. This was 3 and 1/2 hours into my night. I'm so disappointed because this was my first experience in a shop and was looking forward to it because I love the artwork--but the staff let me waste almost 4 hours of my night making it impossible to go elsewhere. The perfect tattoo shop. I've been tattooed by Marx, Josh and Kyle and every time is a great experience. They listen to what you want and give sound advice on how it should be done to stand the test of time, they all can draw and make changes if needed.  Set up a appointment and they won't flake out last minute. It's a fun time, they take the job serous but also make it fun. Sometimes I walk in and pick flash off the wall and sometimes I have custom work done. All I can say is run don't walk there. I have Marx do 70% of my work but they are all great tattooers. Clean shop run by professionals!!  Do your own homework, this shop is constantly rated on of the best shops in the metro area. I went in to get a new nose stud; not the piercing, simply the jewelry.  I stood at the counter for ten minutes before they even bothered to ask if I needed help. I pointed out the one I needed and was told it would take ten minutes to get it and bend it appropriately. Twenty minutes later I had not received the stud nor any update on if it was coming. However the worker that was "helping" me was more than willing to come up and grab a lunch delivery and check out a tattoo being done without acknowledging me or my continued wait. Finally after thirty minutes I walked out with nothing. I'm sure they didn't even notice.The only plus to waiting that long for nothing was that it allowed me to examine the sample tattoo art on the wall and realize I would never go there for a tattoo. The artwork was mediocre at best and looked like that of a talented, but untrained high school student.I would not recommend this business for tattoos or piercings. Read Less
