Great and friendly artists. My Fiancee and I have been there a few times and gotten work done there a week ago. I met with a Artist named Eddie. He was very professional. I told him what I wanted for the work I wanted on my chest  and he sat down and stretched up my idea. I loved it. I sat down in his chair his work area was very clean. He took showed me him opening a brand new needle and put it into his gun. His lines were consistant.  he did not rush my tattoo. I could not have had a better experience thank you so much! Called two weeks ahead of time to make an appointment on my birthday (today 7/5) and got the moon appointment which is their first of the day. I showed up 10 minutes early and since the shop wasn't open I say on the bench and waited... and waited... and waited... Almost an hour after my appointment time and I'm still waiting. If could give them 0 stars I would!! I went in with a group of friends to all get identical tattoo. Two of us saw Jessie and the other three saw Eddie. The two of us who saw Jessie regret our decision completely! A week and a half out and my tattoo looks horrible, ink falling scarring and scabbing like crazy! I called them to simply let them know and they yelled at me telling me I was wrong and didn't know what I was talking about. They kept telling me they would make it right, but I will not be returning and would never refer anyone to this shop. They also would not let us pay with a credit card, the my made is pay in cash. Had such a great experience here! My best friend has always sworn by this place so when we were out and about in Stillwater we wandered in and she got a piercing and I got a quick tattoo. I'm giving them a 1 star because the tattoo my wife got was nice but it was hard to make the appointment with Eli. He moved her appointment back two hours before so she had to reschedule for another day. Now when she went in to get it done he made her wait over an hour to start the tattoo because he was working on someone else. The tattoo was already half done by him from before so my wife wanted him to finish it. It took him 3 and a half hours to finish the tattoo when it was not that large or complicated of a tattoo. Her appointment was at 5 it took till 9:30, everything said and one was 4 and a half hours. It makes me glad that I trusted my time to someone else. My wife will not be going back there because of this treatment I hope you do not make the same mistake. Read Less

It's really sad how downhill Tatts has come in the past few years. I got my first tattoo there and my belly button pierced. All my friends used to go here back in 2005-2011. I finally decided on what my 2nd tattoo was going to be and was super excited about it...well, it's now a huge regret. I was so confident because my first one was so great and you can tell between the two tattoos (done by same artist) that the quality has severely gone downhill. Read Less

Horrible service.  First, there was only 1 other person in the shop getting her tattoo designed.  There were at least 4 tattoo artists, 2 ended up leaving for lunch, 1 refused to help because her son was there with her and she wanted to spend time with him  -  why is your 7 year old son with you at work in the first place. The other one was helpful until it came time to actually start working on the tattoo.The tattoo was supposed to read - Be the voice, not the echo - but was written be the echo not, the voice - my sister and I had to change it ourselves and pick out our font.  We waited about 15 minutes while the two artists took a cigarette break and chit chatted about what kind of washing machine they should buy and how much it will be. AWESOME customer service! Had a Tatt done there MANY years ago and it has never faded and still looks FABULOUS! I went to Zapps because of their reputation and because I have seen some good work come out of there.  I went in with a specific design that was very important to me and was assigned to someone named Ed.  He did the design, but it healed horribly!  I went through three sets of scabbing and on the third time, it pulled chunks of the color out.  The lines are at best sketchy and not nice and solid.  The shading is flat and it looks like it's 10 years old even tho I just got it six months ago.  I am going in for a "free" touch up so I hope someone other than ED can fix the chop job he did on my leg!  BE AWARE OF ED! I went here to get a helix piercing and i would say they did a very good job, very professional and it didnt even hurt. The only things i didnt like was that the room i got pierced in was pretty tiny, you dont get to choose your jewelry ( your only given the choice of captive bead ring), and aftercare is not provided, they just tell you what you should do and use. I went to Tatt's because of their reputation in the area and they had me meet with Jackie to design my tattoo. I gave her a few ideas and she designed the perfect tattoo for me. It is gorgeous and very unique. My tattoo look 2 sessions to finish and every time I went in all of the staff were always nice and laid back. I get tons of compliments on my tattoo (the most recent one is from a lady who looked to be in her 70s). Jackie was very conscious of the pain factor and how much a person can tolerate. I gave her quite a bit of artistic freedom with the design and coloring and I think she did a fantastic job. I'm already planning what my next tattoo will be! Read Less

By a fluke I found Jackee again after she did my tattoo six years ago, and quickly scheduled with her for a touch-up. She was incredibly thorough with her work and very detail-oriented. I had been waiting to get it touched-up because it was so damn good the first time, I didn't want anyone else to mess it up. Jackee is pretty much a full-time artist, who when she's not tattooing does AMAZING oil paintings. If you are looking for an artistic, open-minded, and very chill tattoo artist, please see Jackee. This business comes highly recommended by Mike. He used to work there and said if i was ever to get a tattoo in the States, this would be the place to go. I value his opinion highly because he did a great tatt of a phoenix for me while in I was visiting in Ireland. Yes the shop is small... yes it can get noisy and crowded... but these artists are true artists! Having spent at least a couple years apprenticing this art with veteran tattoists before they were allowed to be on their own. Joe, Mike, Jesse, and Paully all do amazing work! Top Notch!! The piercers have also been fully trained and are at the top of their game. Talk to these guys and gals... hear their colorful stories, their background, their love for what they do... ask about Zapp himself.... hear the history and the legacy... You will be impressed...
