It was amazing, I had went in to get my belly button pierced and the cost was $60 which was well priced for starters. My piercer was awesome, he made me feel so comfortable and he also did not use a clamp which reduced the pain by a lot. Loser who does ear piercing for a1 charges $50 to pierce ears. $50 bucks! You can drive 1 minute up Robert street and Wal-Mart will do the exact same piercing for $20. If you're willing to drive a little further Claire's will do ear piercing for free. Read Less

I was referred to this place by my friend and it was so horrible I was rushed when I already made a down payment the artist did not acknowledge any suggestions I askednfor my tattoo and when I seen how bad he really messed up all hebsaid was sorry. I bet he didn't offer to fix it or reimburse my money all I can do is cry. Please look for another artist and stay away from A-1and JR. Don't have anything positive to say, PERIOD! I got my double high nostrils pierced, I really don't know how many stars to give because although it was supposed to be just two piercings I ended up getting pierced 5 times. Two in one nostril and three in the other to get it right symmetrically. The piercer gave me a 50% discount when all was done(I believe it should have been free due to how many times he messed up). I probably won't end up going here again, the piercer seemed unprofessional due to his lack of placement skills, and an aftercare instructional sheet that the piercer obviously finds hilarious but is just plain juvenile. I received a couple of tattoos here by Ricky he is amazing! He is extremely patient and takes his time working with you drawing up exactly what you want until you are 100 percent sure.. SOOOO BAD!! I would not get pierced here, sooo unprofessional! Me and my boyfriend went to get our septum's pieced Sunday 8/23. I called ahead let them know we were coming she said cool, everything sounded good. We arrived at the shop everything seemed pretty cool. Singed the waivers. She prepared her space then we went back. My boyfriend went first. She cleaned everything up, opened the needle and is about to pierce his nose. then *Ring**ring* gets a phone call and says she must answer it cause she has a kid. I mean come on now I have a kid. If you are at your place of work about to put a needle in someone's face please wait to answer the phone. I also was actually fine with this until she walked back in and said "Its not unprofessional, and you can't be mad at me" UMM okay I wasn't but now I am. I am emotional whatever. Then then proceeds to pierce his nose. Needle goes through and its more crooked then a cock-eyed rooster early in the morning. I gasp and she says "I can't let you leave the shop like that do you mind if I do it over?" To my shock he agrees. Then she pierces it a second time and then can not get the jewelry to  go in and she is just trying to shove it through his nose!!! like WTF! And keeps says "this has never happened to me before" x3. she asks him AGAIN if she can put the needle through again. She also says "HaHa at least I use a new needle every time, some people don't do that." Like okay were supposed to be happy you do the bare minimum for safely? WTF. And again he agrees she pierces it and it take about 2 minuets but she got the ring in....Then its my turn... My boyfriend wanted to wait for a reputable piercer to open up during the week but I wanted the piercing that day and had to have it. So I wasn't gonna let her mess up his face and not mine. Plus the spot between the cartilage in my nose is HUGE and would be very hard to miss so I thought she couldn't mess up that bad. I was wrong. She gets everything ready I see where she has marked it is definitely in my sweet spot. I can feel her pinching my sweet spot, She ASSURES me she knows what she is doing and that it in going into the sweet spot. She gets the needle and OMG she clamps down on the clamp as hard as she possibly could! I have a bruise from the clamp!! They were not safety clamps she was holding down with all her might of those forsaken things. While trying to get the needle through. Which took forever! That's when I knew she was not in my sweet spot but actually the thickest part I have in my whole nose. WTF. Its FINE if you want your septum pierced in the cartilage. I DID NOT! I EXPRESSED this to ALEX and she said she could handle piercing my sweet spot. I explicitly did not want the healing time of a cartilage piercing! And she agreed yet did what SHE wanted anyway after assuring my it would be in my sweet spot! The fact that they have her a piercer makes me question everything about this place! She was so overwhelmed and unprofessional is was ridiculous!! DO NOT GET pierced BY ALEX AT A-1 TATTOO. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! Also she asked us if we were in high school? like WTF??! Read Less

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! I went and had a Triple Helix Piercing done by a woman there and after she pierced me, I asked the charge (mind you, everywhere I checked was charging around $30 a piercing) .....she said $210!!!! I had no choice but to pay it with a really bad feeling that I had just gotten ripped off! Then one of the earrings fell out so I went to a place near my work so I didn't have to take off work to get it fixed. I called A-1 back and asked how much for a Triple Forward Helix Piercing....this is the same girl that pierced me.....she said $160!!!! That is a $50 difference! When I confronted her, she said that $160 is an 'estimate'! Estimate FOR WHAT!!! What are you estimating? Then she claimed it was the jewelry I CHOSE is what cost me so much. I didn't get a choice! She brought it in and that was it! Not only did she purposely rip me off but, she lied and lied again and again about the cause of the charge. Read Less
