Not only are Ariel, Alli, and guest artist Junko amazingly talented artists who do creative custom pieces, but the shop is the most-welcoming, friendly, and accepting tattoo shop you will ever see. Gone are my days of getting tattooed in dark, foreboding shops with tattoo menus on the walls where I get mansplained to. Tailorbird is a bright and airy space in an old Art Deco dentists office; they have plants and beautiful art on the walls. They feed you snacks and kombucha and La Croix during your appointment. I came to Minnesota on vacation and my friend and I planned to get matching tattoos. Alli (the tattoo artist) and Sin (the desk person/shop assistant) were super helpful orchestrating setting up an appt and paying deposits by phone. Our experience was stellar. I've had 10 other tattoos, and this was the best experience by far. The shop is clean but cozy, and there is a separate waiting area so no one wanders into your session. Ariel Sarah Cafarelli has done nothing but create a brand new life for me. I have memorial tattoos on my leg from my ankle up to my mid stomach and I have my arm covered as well covering up old tattoos that made me severely and painfully depressed. Seeing them made me have to wear long sleeve shi...rts and everyday reminded me of very ugly times. Her patience for precision , her honesty of opinion, ability to create comfort and form on the physical aspect of fitting art precisely is her unique keys to everything that admire. Being tattooed by Ariel is wonderfully relaxing and calm. She is an amazing artist that makes beautiful works of art that I get to proudly wear daily. On top of her talent, she is also extremely detailed in her cleanliness and cares about your health as she works to maintain the cleanest environment possible, so important when getting tattooed.
