With the first appointment, I was nervous, but Creed (my tattoo artist) put me at ease and assured me I would not fall to the floor and writhe in pain. He was right. Now, ten tattoos later, I still go to Queen of Hearts and have Creed put my ideas into something great; beyond my expectations. Creed also worked it out so I didn't have to reschedule when I was late.For your first tattoo and any after that, I highly recommend Queen of Hearts!

My sisters (in law) and I got "matching" tattoos about a month ago and were very happy with our experience at QoH. We all picked different styles of the same concept and were able to book our appointments for the next day. The artists who did our tattoos were all personable and helpful when helping us decide how the final pieces would look. While we waited for the last one of our group to be finished, Tony chatted with us and let us check out their collection of takeout menus while we decided what was for dinner. When we got home that night, I noticed a portion of my tattoo wasn't exactly like I'd thought it would be, but the shop was closed at that point and I was leaving the state the next day. In the morning, I took a chance and reached out to the shop to see if they had time to modify the tattoo and if it was even possible the day after he initial piece was done. Creed made time for me to come in before my flight and fixed the piece even though he wasn't even my original artist from the night before. We all appreciated the work done by Creed, Kurtis, and Neil, as well as Tony's help. Maybe I'll be back the next time I'm in MN!

Sorry for everyone that works here but I'm using a friends Yelp account to write this review because apparently the old review that I wrote with my personal account was deleted. So maybe it won't be deleted here. Ok there's a lot of 5 star reviews for this place on Google and maybe I was just the one who wasn't lucky. Went to come in for a walk in and got a guy named Tony. I gave him my ideas and looked at his portfolio. His work looked great and clean. I just don't understand but he screwed up my tattoo... the lines aren't straight, he accidentally moved on a line to where you can see the small dotted lines because of his messing up, shading is uneven... why man? I would send a picture here but it's not worth getting the drama back at me since they have my information. I'm very disappointed to where it hurts me. Like you took the time and effort to make other people's tattoos look clean but for me it looks like as if you were new to tattooing. Honestly I knew this place would be sketchy but came here anyways because I saw lots of good reviews about this place. I wasn't even rude to the guy. I even got this touched up and he still didn't make it look nice. HE MISSED SPOTS THAT HE EVEN KNEW THAT NEEDED TO BE FILLED IN STILL. Just go to Scottish Rose. Everyone there does a better job than Tony. My review may be nothing compared to the other reviews but this is honestly a shame on him. I bet even mafia ink would've done this nicely than he did

I've had a couple tattoos done here through the years. No more.I understand that tattoo shops are all easy going, laid back, and wild. But, I still would appreciate some respect and professionalism.Instead of my weeny tattoo taking four hours to do, it could take only half hour if the tattoo artists didn't have to stop every 30 seconds to smoke.When I make an appointment for noon, I expect my tattoo artist to be there before noon and before me, ready to go. Instead, my tattoo artist shows up over half hour late, has to set up his room and have his cigarette too!Why do tattoo shops have random people constantly running in and out and hanging around?Why do tattoo artists need so many breaks? I'm only getting a tiny heart tattoo. Oh ya, they need a smoke. I do have a life. I don't want to hang out at the messy, filthy tattoo shop for a hundred hours. Seriously, just do my tattoo and let's call it good.I'm old. I don't need what you call music cranked, and your friends bebopping in and out of the room while I'm getting my tattoo.I'm just tired of always having to wait around when I made an appointment, and the unnecessary frequent smoke breaks.

I was searching for an open tattoo shop that’ll accept walk ins and thankfully Q.O.H’s took me in! I kind of went in at a bad time for most places (besides Q.O.H). Like I wanted to get a tattoo at 7:30-8pm and most close around 9. Thank you Tony for doing my first tattoo. It was a pleasure to have you do it for me and make me experience the pain haha.Everyone was so nice including this one lady that has short hair. I don’t remember her name. When tony did my tattoo he so sweet and accepting as we spoke about myself.
I am DEFINITELY coming back again for my next tattoo. This is like my new “tattoo home.”

I went in with a general idea of what I wanted for a cover up tattoo. Tony was able to help me out and give me suggestions and came up with an awesome tattoo idea on the spot. I felt welcomed and comfortable. It turned out great and you can't even tell there was anything underneath.I had a little scare that my tattoo was infected because I kept it wrapped up but luckily he was able to look at a picture of it and told me it's actually not infected. (YAY!) I just needed to moisturize it more and invest in unscented soap for cleaning.

Yeah man... I went in with my bud and fellow reviewer Lee to get ink here. I must say I'm glad we chose this joint. I brought in an idea to Tony and he looked at my arm and asked what I thought of a few ideas to use the area on my arm more fully. I loved his suggestions and with his mad art skills he whips out a rough sketch in just a couple of minutes. I was pretty impressed.
When it was appointment time, he had something really nice waiting for me......And just when you think it as good as it gets, while he's working the needles, he sees things in real time that can't be put on paper. His suggestions on the fly were great additions and it made for a spectacular piece in my opinion.
I'll surely be heading back to Tony for the art and meaningful conversation.

My daughter got me my first tattoo. We had a rough day and when we walked in the guys made us feel amazing. We came in with a FB pic and what he gave us was amazing! Great artists and we will be back!

I went to another place for my first tattoo and that place didn't even compare to the amazing service I got at Queen of Hearts. Super reasonably priced too! They were very clear about after care and what I can do to make it heal nicely. Will be returning in the future!

Now, ten tattoos later, I still go to Queen of Hearts and have Creed put my ideas into something great; beyond my expectations. I've had a couple tattoos done here through the years. No more.I understand that tattoo shops are all easy going, laid back, and wild. I appreciate the integrity they have in regards to producing quality tattoos and their desire to be part of the creative process in regards to the design. My daughter got me my first tattoo. We had a rough day and when we walked in the guys made us feel amazing. We came in with a FB pic and what he gave us was amazing! Great artists and we will be back!

Rachael was awesome! She drew up exactly what I wanted and didn't have a problem redrawing it up when I changed some things. Gave me exactly what I wanted and her drawing and ink work were top notch...

I went to another place for my first tattoo and that place didn't even compare to the amazing service I got at Queen of Hearts. Super reasonably priced too! They were very clear about after care and what I can do to make it heal nicely. Will be returning in the future!

Rachel is amazing, the detail and eye she has as an artist is outstanding and I could not have gotten my first tatto without her. She even put up with my butt coplaining about the pain. Shes amazing.
