I've been getting tattooed for a long time in this town. Worked with a lot of artists, been to many shops. I am unaware of a better or more gifted tattooist than Lucky. Down to earth, cool without letting you know...honest and VERY professional. He starts on time and is incredibly efficient. Great to talk to and work with. I am thrilled with the last piece he did for me. Be prepared to make an appointment in advance, and I guarantee it will be worth the wait. If you ask me, Identity Tattoo is the only shop on the west side and in my opinion the best all around in Minneapolis.

He was very patient and answered all my questions, never making me feel like I was bothering or annoying him. He was patient as we talked about colors for my tattooThe end result was amazing. In person with a picture so your forever tattoo is perfect. Which is what Lucky does. I've had so many people ask me where I got my work done at because it is so impressive. Super clean shop. Great atmosphere with the guys there. I just wish I had more $$$ to get more work done. Β Trust them with your skin, I did!

Β Now that's creative. Β He insightfully informed me tattoos are permanent and laser removal is expensive. Β An unwittingly for a tattoo'er personality matters. Β In hindsight, ours didn't mesh can be my only explanation for leaving bewildered. Β It's unfortunate that I have similar sentiments as Rae Jo K., except my experience was in person.

Β I really wanted to get one by him as well considering the great work he did for my friend. Β However, when I called and emailed I discovered they only allow for appointments made IN PERSON. Β This is perfectly convenient for people like my friend who live in Maple Grove, but an unnecessary inconvenience for people willing to drive farther.So let me get this straight, I have to drive 35-40 minutes (one way) just to schedule an appointment? Β Not only that, but I don't want to discuss my tattoo with just anyone; I want to be able to talk with MY artist...not some random "walk-in" artist. Β Can't I make an appointment with that specific artist so I KNOW they will be available when I get up there? Β Nope. Β You just have to be...well...LUCKY.When it comes to permanent ink in my skin, I want certainty. Β Identity made me feel like they didn't really care one way or another about my business. Β I guess they get more than enough business from Maple Grove.

I'm so surprised there aren't any reviews! I was just tattooed by Shawn Hebrank. He did a fantastic job and was SO friendly. Plus, his pricing was pretty incredible. I'll upload a picture of my freshly done tattoo. It was my first real tattoo (the first of them being done when I was 15 in a trailer park- I know) and he captured what I wanted exactly. It took a whopping 4.5 hours but turned out absolutely beautifully. He's great to talk to and has many awesome stories. I would totally recommend him to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

I have had work done by Todd aka Lucky and Shawn. Very gifted artists and good at what they do. Will definitely go back for more!

Β I really wanted to get one by him as well considering the great work he did for my friend. Β However, when I called and emailed I discovered they only allow for appointments made IN PERSON. Β This is perfectly convenient for people like my friend who live in Maple Grove, but an unnecessary inconvenience for people willing to drive farther.So let me get this straight, I have to drive 35-40 minutes (one way) just to schedule an appointment? Β Not only that, but I don't want to discuss my tattoo with just anyone; I want to be able to talk with MY artist...not some random "walk-in" artist. Β Can't I make an appointment with that specific artist so I KNOW they will be available when I get up there? Β Nope. Β You just have to be...well...LUCKY.When it comes to permanent ink in my skin, I want certainty. Β Identity made me feel like they didn't really care one way or another about my business. Β I guess they get more than enough business from Maple Grove.

I'm so surprised there aren't any reviews! I was just tattooed by Shawn Hebrank. He did a fantastic job and was SO friendly. Plus, his pricing was pretty incredible. I'll upload a picture of my freshly done tattoo. It was my first real tattoo (the first of them being done when I was 15 in a trailer park- I know) and he captured what I wanted exactly. It took a whopping 4.5 hours but turned out absolutely beautifully. He's great to talk to and has many awesome stories. I would totally recommend him to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

I personally haven't had a better experience getting tattooed like I have at Identity Tattoo. The shop atmosphere was great and it was a breeze to find and parking was no problem. I have had work done...
I personally haven't had a better experience getting tattooed like I have at Identity Tattoo. The shop atmosphere was great and it was a breeze to find and parking was no problem. I have had work done by Todd aka Lucky and Shawn. Very gifted artists and good at what they do. Will definitely go back for more!

Great place friendly staff. Todd tatted my brothers and myself. Cool and funny guy. The shop is nice and clean. Very comfortable atmosphere. Def. going back! 5 stars!
