After doing extensive research to find an artist whose work I thought would go with the idea I had, I found John Thao at Tough Luck - phenomenal artist and an attitude to match. We talked over a few details, he gave me some great advice and we tweaked a few things but overall he put together a piece that was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Dude put almost 10 hours in on a Saturday night, well after everyone else had taken off for the day, to make it perfect. Got this intricate, beautiful mandala inked by the extremely talented, John Thao! Along with a few other tattoos that he has done for me, as well as going to different shops in the past, I can personally say that this man does the best. He will always be my number one artist to turn to. You can tell he really puts in an incredible amount of time, effort, and perfection into every design. What can I say besides Blake you are an amazing artist! what started out as a upper arm cover-up has turned into a 3/4 sleeve like no other.Blake has been so receptive to my thought's and ideas that I have given him full reign on my arm. Professional, Friendly, Clean, and Great Artwork! I got two AMAZING tattoos by Jennifer this past week and already I can't wait to come back to have more work done! They made me comfortable answered my many questions and gave me advice on the design I wanted to ensure that it turned out the best it could. There are individual rooms for PRIVACY which is different than other shops I have been in. They ask you to come in about 6 weeks after to make sure everything looks good and they offer FREE TOUCH UP's once your tattoo has healed (another perk that no other shop has offered me in the past) The tattoos themselves turned out exactly as I wanted them to and on my cover up tattoo, even I cannot tell where the old ink is under the new design!!! All the artists there are very friendly & seem to know their stuff! This is my new go-to shop for both tattoo's and piercings. I've gotten a ton of compliments on my 2 new pieces that Jennifer did I HIGHLY recommend her or any of the artists @ Tough Luck to anyone looking for a GREAT LOCAL SHOP with EXPERIENCED ARTISTS that is AFFORDABLE & doesn't cost a fortune like some big name shops. I've had two good experiences here. They have been very simple tattoos but that doesn't mean something can't go wrong. I'm very happy with the work that's been done and the attention to detail the artists give. One stencil took 3 or 4 times to be placed just right, so my artist wasn't going to settle for less than perfect. Lastly, the prices have been very affordable.
