They were very nice and wonderful! Tenet made us feel welcome. They were quick and efficient. My nose piercing didn’t hurt much cause they told me to breathe and it was over before it began. This place is great! Brought my son here on his 16th birthday to get snake bite lip piercings and we had an excellent experience. Paxton is the piercer and did a great job explaining things and was done quickly. I killed time chatting with one of the tattoo artists, Darrell, getting his input on my next tattoo. I have been tattooed at 5 area shops over the last 10 years or so, and while they have all been pretty good, Wingnut shines.  It's very clean, organized and staff and artists are personable and dare i say...friendly!  Several members of my family, including myself, have been tattooed by Blake aka Savage the Lion and have adopted him as our family artist.  His work is outstanding, he is gentle, fun and works hard to get your design right and within your budget. This is the only Twin Cities shop I would give full 5 stars because they have that magical combination of great artists, clean and very comfortable shop, along with staff that make your visit enjoyable.  Get over there and get your ink! If you're into realism, Gabe is THE MAN!I'm writing this review on behalf of my wife since English is her second language.  Of course, I have eyes and I see her tattoos everyday.  I've also spent many hours sitting next to her as Gabe has been working his artistic magic.I really can't think of enough adjectives to do Gabe justice.  I'm nearly speechless as I watch him bring realistic photos of people and pets to life on someone's skin--amazing!!!  Gabe is not only good at what he does, he's a nice guy.  And you don't need to take out a second mortgage to pay for this beautiful work.I can't really speak to the skills of the other artists at Wingnut.  But the whole crew is super nice, pleasant, and funny.Now, I hope he doesn't get a big head and triple his prices or take off on a celebrity tattoo tour.Thank you for the beautiful art.-Daddy Maxx Retro Read Less

The tattoo I got from Daryl is AMAZING!  From walking in the door to set up the consultation, the consultation, to the appointment, everything was great.  They are friendly, knowledgeable and skilled.  The artwork that Daryl came up with from my samples was beyond my expectations and translated to my skin beautifully.  I will have more work done by him.  The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that the appointment times and availabilities were a bit tough to work around. I have been to this place at two different times; one to get a piercing and one to get a tattoo. Each time, the staff rode their high horses and I felt that they were being a bit prude, especially for a shop in Anoka.I must say, they really know what they are doing though. My piercing went well and they are very knowledgeable and they have really good tattoo artists. Jeremy and Joe are two of the friendliest artists there, and they are very, very talented! Jeremy has done other tattoos on me at a previous  tatt shop he worked at, and all of them are very beautiful and I always receive positive compliments on them.I would recommend these artists to a friend.
