Happy Tats has been doing tattoos in our family for years. My first visit was in December when Happy drew my feather tattoo from scratch.. I instantly fell in love. We sat down and designed a perfect tattoo for me. Happy did a phenomenal job. He's a nice guy with GREAT musical taste. The only thing I didn't like was the other people in the room. Happy did an amazing job with my cover-up. It is much smaller and less intricate than the stuff that he normally does but made me feel welcome all the same. Was in there for my first session with Brian Miller . The dude is amazing with a tattoo gun. He came up with the idea and ran with the design to fill in space on my arm with geometrical shapes. I got an 80$ finger cover up from my really embarrassing tattoo I got when I was younger and so I went to happy tats to cover it and it looked ok nothing special . After a couple of days it came off like almost every part of it . Even more embarrassing than what I had. They never told me it is possible for it it come off. She just said no free touch ups. This was the most expensive tattoo I have on my body and the smallest tattoo I have.. never going back bad business and bad experience. Read Less

To start out with, I am reviewing their piercing, mainly;  I do have friends who have had tattoos done here, but they can speak for themselves.I've been going to Happy for piercings for about 4 years.  He has done my septum, my tongue and my VCH.  I have other piercings (nose, nipples, labret, ears) so I am measuring my experience against those experiences.Happy pierced my septum in 2008; it was $25.  He was friendly and so was his wife, and they put me at ease since I had come in alone.  That is one of the best things about this shop - you can come in alone without feeling awkward or jittery, because Happy and his wife will immediately put you at ease.  I never had any problems with my septum.He pierced my tongue a year later, in 2009 (also $25), and again I went in alone.  This time he began to pierce my tongue and then had to start over because I flinched; to me, that is a testament to his honesty and work that he would tell me  hey, wait, lets start over.  I know of several people who have had piercings done at other places, placed incorrectly, and one has to wonder if at any time the piercer saw that something was not right and said nothing in order to save face.  But Happy is not like that, and he quickly righted things.  I never had any problems with my tongue.The last time that I went to Happy was in December of 2011.  This time I brought my sister and I got my hood pierced (for $50).  I was a bit nervous about this piercing, especially because of the area.  But Happy and his wife again put me at ease.  The piercing itself took a second, there was barely any pain, and healed in under a week. I went here for a touchup on two of my tattoos.  Happy was very nice and down to earth.  His wife, who makes the appointments, etc. was very nice too.   He was a little heavy handed, but the results were great.  I'll definitely be back! Read Less
