I've had piercings and tattoos done at Bluz. Lori pierced my tragus and daith and they both look awesome and healed great! Dave has tattooed about 15 times! He is an incredible artist! I have 17 piercings, almost all from Lori, and I'll never go anywhere else. She knows what shes doing. Very clean, and she tells you what shes doing as she goes along so you know what to expect. She has a routine where she goes through the care sheets with you first before piercing you, as well as write down the gauge size for your jewerly and she ensures you of the material the jewerly is made of. Very friendly and has a steady hand. Literally you're in and out. Cant wait for number 18! --People always ask me what I have done, so here is my list:-- Left ear: Lobes 1-3, cartilage, conch and tragus Right ear: lobes 1-3, two sets of cartilage (industrial), and snug. I first went to Dano back in 1998 for my first ever tattoo. What has had a lasting impression on me is the honest way he did business. He took a small deposit and then designed my pride and joy, the Aztec Calendar, from a T-Shirt and called me in a few days later to get it done. Here is where Dano really made an impression on me as a man and as a business man. He stenciled the Calendar on my arm and said "Sit here and look at it man. Ten minutes. Make sure this is what you wa...nt because once I start tattooing I CAN'T ERASE IT! If you decide it's not what you want it's okay man we'll call it even where we are. I just want to make sure YOU want this. Okay?" I sat there and the ten minutes seemed like an hour because I wanted the tattoo really bad but the way Dano went about it spoke volumes about his integrity and character. Having Dave rework and complete a big back tattoo that a previous artist didn't do well on. Dave has recreated the tattoo and it looks wildly better already. I've received nothing but positive comments on the tattoo so far. Everyone in the shop is nice and funny. The owner is smart and knowledgeable, he also reminds me of the Duck Dynasty guys, it's awesome. There are a lot of vintage tattooing memorabilia everywhere which is cool. Okay, so I go to Bluz on average of once a month if I can afford it. They're amazing! I adore Kallie, Lori, and Dave. I've never gotten any work done by Dan, but his portfolio is gorgeous. Lori's done 13+ piercings for me, and she's stretching my ears. I've never had any problems with the piercing placement, and Kallie and Lori are happy to answer my questions whenever I call. She is very quick, clean (as that I am in the medical field, this is very important to me!), and very kind. First off...to the idiot that was price shopping his tattoo-you are an ass. Never price shop a tattoo, go for the best artist you can find. End of rant. This is a clean, talented, and knowledgeable shop. Dan is a tattooer that has been doing this longer than most anyone in the area. Ask Dan about tattoo history and you will get a lesson. The dude knows his roots, and respects the art tattooing. Him and Dave are very talented artists, and between these two you will get a tattoo that you will be proud of. Was going around town to get a few quotes on a Celtic knot design I wanted. Went to a few places with prices ranging from 100-150 which is reasonable. The lady who greeted me, after briefly looking at the design I wanted, told me $350. idk if she didn't want to do the job or what but that's outrageous. I laughed and explained that the local competitors will easily do it for half the price. I want to fatbros down the road, got the job done for $125 and it looks amazing!! Mixed feelings about this place. I got my nose pierced here and the piercer was amazing, very sweet, and helpful. On the other hand, the woman who initially greets you as you walk in the door and answers the phones was extremely rude. She was short and sarcastic, and kept giving my girlfriend and I a very unpleasant look. Wouldn't recommend this shop unless you're only dealing with the piercer. Read Less

I got my triple forward helix by Chloee and she was amazing. She was very polite and informative. She told me everything about the piercing I wanted before hand. She washed her hands before putting gloves on and sterilized everything in front of me. She also told me if I needed help changing out my jewelry to come back and she would do it for free. Work is good to great depending on who you go to. Dan rocks. Mike is pretty damn good too.  Got a shoulder cap done by Mike and it's pretty good. Coloring was pretty light and it's a bit off center but nothing I can't live with.  Had friends get large back pieces from Dan and they looked fantastic!  Will more likely than not make an appt with Dan for my backpiece. I got my belly button pierced at Bluz and was pleasantly surprised at this tattoo place. It is very clean inside (as I would expect any place like this to be) and the staff is awesome. They are such nice people and before I got my piercing, she made me very calm and assured me that everything was clean by opening brand new packages in front of me. I've known a lot of people who have gotten tattoos here who say that they wouldn't go anywhere else. The artists really take into account what you want your tattoo to look like, and will draw it up several different ways until you find what you like best. Dan was amazing! He was very concerned with giving me a work of art that I would love for years - tweaking my design to perfection and spending time explaining proper size and placement.
