Fine Strokes (Ilda) did my eyebrows almost two years ago and it was one of my best decisions. I have only had one touch up and I still have people telling me how much they love my eyebrows. So I decided to go for the eyeliner last month. Getting your eyebrows done can be a little uncomfortable and eyeliner more so. But both are tolerable. (Not much different then botox or filler injections in the face, not easy either but worth a little pain.) Ilda's pricing, while not cheap is even with the market in this area and at least half of what you would pay in cities like NY or LA. And know that Ilda is an artist and designs eyebrows and liner that goes with your face and makeup practices.

To offer an honest and fair review I wanted to wait a few months before posting my review because I wanted to see how my eyebrows turned out. I got my service done in June of this year.Fine Strokes has an awesome website which you can get all the info you need on microblading, scheduling an appointment, and reading up on pre & post care. Vinny did my procedure and touch up as well. The studio is located inside Sola Salon & Suites near Costco in Shelby Twp so it's a single-room studio. However it's spic and span clean and excellent lighting. Vinny is so friendly and patient he wants to make sure he delivers what you want. I was pretty picky with my shape but he was so patient.For those of you who don't know, this procedure hurts! The numbing cream he used helped but if you know what this procedure is, then you'll expect some pain. My brows looked amazing after the first time he did them. I did the microblading + shading. He was very thorough in explaining the after care & provided a great topical gel to use.When I came back for my touchup 3 weeks later it was all the same experience, which is good. However both appointments I had to wait for quite a bit of time as he was finishing up a previous client. I appreciated that he acknowledged that & apologized for the inconvenience.I am pretty much happy with my brows however my skin must not have taken the strokes/pigment as well as others' skin does. Vinny is good about warning customers about that effect. The highly coveted microblading look does not last on all skin types. So mine you can somewhat see the lines, but it's mostly blurry. Not a great feeling considering all the money I spent here.

Unfortunately I did have a bad experience here with Vinny. There were zero "stroke" like markings and instead just a lot of GRAY shading. Also, Vinny advised me while getting my eyebrows done that he did internet marketing for other companies, so he knows how to make it so when you search for microblading in Michigan 'Fine Strokes Microblading' pops up right away. That should've been a dead giveaway, but I was already half way into getting my eyebrows done. Currently in the process of having another salon fix my brows. So bummed.

I had a wonderful experience with Vinny! He was very kind and was great at explaining all the details I had to know about the procedure, aftercare, etc. I was very nervous about this as I am very picky with my makeup, and specifically eyebrows. However, I had many areas that were sparse or even completely lacking hair, and I was tired of spending a ton of time every morning perfecting them. Now, I have perfect brows every day. Such a time saver and confidence booster. I do have to say that it can be a little scary for the first few days after the procedure and even touch up. They will get extremely dark and harsh looking, but just know that this will pass...be patient and do not panic! After a few days of proper care, they start to lighten up and look great! Would highly recommend to anyone who is self conscious about their lack of natural brows, or who is sick of spending a ton of time filling them in every morning.

Elda at Finestrokes is great. She's very talented, honest, patient and kind. She takes her time with you to make sure you know what you are getting into as well as getting what you want when it comes to your eyebrows. I have oily skin so it's been quite a journey trying to get perfect brows. I've been to see Elda three times now so that's why some of these pics may look different. Know that the color fades a LOT once its healed. Im thinking after one more touch up they will be as dark as I want them and I wont need make up to fill them in anymore.
There is only one thing Finestrokes Microblading could improve (but even without, Elda is still one of the best) and that is to contact new customers sooner than 2-3 days before the appointment. There is information in their email stating things you should or should not do 2 weeks prior to microblading. I feel this email should have been sent 2 weeks prior to the appointment not days before.

No one answers the phone at this place, even if you leave a voicemail and the same idea for emails. It is very unprofessional and rude. I pre paid for a touch up, and decided to go somewhere else since the work wasn't as précise as it could of been (estheticians opinion) (uneven shading brows & one longer than the other) and you can't even cancel the appointment on the app! No one will answer the phone, just baffling! Yet they charge a 100$ for apt cancellation but you cant even cancel !?
I am never coming back here again and I will dispute the charge on my cc once it posts. Going to try somewhere else that is more professional, first and last time booking something off of IG.
I am not a disgruntled customer but I just want to give someone a heads up! Unreal how unprofessional this place is and all these "5 star" reviews. Going on day 3 and I'm still awaiting a response.

I went to get my eyebrows down with Vinny. Although Vinny was very nice, the strokes were uneven and the shape did not look good after he was finished with them. Vinny told me "you'd probably will need to come back for re touching in 4 weeks" which I figured it would be free of charge to fix things up. When I contacted Elda, whose mailbox is ALWAYS full, she told me, I'd need to pay additional 75$ for retouching even though, it has been only 4 weeks and the job was not done to my satisfaction. I even called her a week after telling her how I don't like how the shape looks because it is uneven in front and there are gaps. She told me not to worry and wait until they are healed. Four weeks later, they still don't look as I expected them to look. l have to fill in my eyebrows every day. The photographs online look way better than how my eyebrows were done. I had thick nice eyebrows to begin with and now they look inked up and there are gaps in between. Overall, I am not happy.

Elda is excellent! She explained to me in depth how microblading works, what to expect, and how effective it will be for me since I already have an old faded eyebrow tattoo in place. I'm loving the fuller eyebrows! The entire microblading process took about 2 hours (this includes the drawing over the eyebrow portion) and the rest were the consultation part as well as the 30 or so mins of numbing the eyebrow area. Elda was excellent and I was pain-free entire time.

I went to see Elda yesterday and she did an amazing job. I picked her cause this is what her speciality is rather than a spa who has people doing a little bit of everything. My brows were unique in there own way but needed to look more like twins than sisters lol. She made me feel comfortable and took her time mapping out what my new brows would look like. Within 24 hours I have gotten so many complaints from people that they turned out great and very natural looking. I do not regret getting this done for myself and only wish I would of sooner.

This was amazing! Can't even say how this is a game changer to your eyebrows. Yes I have dark hair but they have thinned out over the years and I have to fill them in. They were measured out, she helped design and it was with working together that we agreed on shape. Which was great she took photos and sat me up to make sure different views was great! Looks like real hair! Nice and full as far as pain it isn't bad. No worse then getting tweezed. She did test spot also to make sure my skin was ok with dye. Cost is $450 and touch ups depend on you but they cost $75

It was my first time trying microblading. Elda was amazing and did a wonderful job. She listens and includes her costumers suggestions as part of their experience. I will definitely see her again.

There is only one thing Finestrokes Microblading could improve (but even without, Elda is still one of the best) and that is to contact new customers sooner than 2-3 days before the appointment. There is information in their email stating things you should or should not do 2 weeks prior to microblading. I feel this email should have been sent 2 weeks prior to the appointment not days before.

No one answers the phone at this place, even if you leave a voicemail and the same idea for emails. It is very unprofessional and rude. I pre paid for a touch up, and decided to go somewhere else since the work wasn't as précise as it could of been (estheticians opinion) (uneven shading brows & one longer than the other) and you can't even cancel the appointment on the app! No one will answer the phone, just baffling! Yet they charge a 100$ for apt cancellation but you cant even cancel !?
I am never coming back here again and I will dispute the charge on my cc once it posts. Going to try somewhere else that is more professional, first and last time booking something off of IG.
I am not a disgruntled customer but I just want to give someone a heads up! Unreal how unprofessional this place is and all these "5 star" reviews. Going on day 3 and I'm still awaiting a response.

I went to get my eyebrows down with Vinny. Although Vinny was very nice, the strokes were uneven and the shape did not look good after he was finished with them. Vinny told me "you'd probably will need to come back for re touching in 4 weeks" which I figured it would be free of charge to fix things up. When I contacted Elda, whose mailbox is ALWAYS full, she told me, I'd need to pay additional 75$ for retouching even though, it has been only 4 weeks and the job was not done to my satisfaction. I even called her a week after telling her how I don't like how the shape looks because it is uneven in front and there are gaps. She told me not to worry and wait until they are healed. Four weeks later, they still don't look as I expected them to look. l have to fill in my eyebrows every day. The photographs online look way better than how my eyebrows were done. I had thick nice eyebrows to begin with and now they look inked up and there are gaps in between. Overall, I am not happy.

Elda is excellent! She explained to me in depth how microblading works, what to expect, and how effective it will be for me since I already have an old faded eyebrow tattoo in place. I'm loving the fuller eyebrows! The entire microblading process took about 2 hours (this includes the drawing over the eyebrow portion) and the rest were the consultation part as well as the 30 or so mins of numbing the eyebrow area. Elda was excellent and I was pain-free entire time.

I went to see Elda yesterday and she did an amazing job. I picked her cause this is what her speciality is rather than a spa who has people doing a little bit of everything. My brows were unique in there own way but needed to look more like twins than sisters lol. She made me feel comfortable and took her time mapping out what my new brows would look like. Within 24 hours I have gotten so many complaints from people that they turned out great and very natural looking. I do not regret getting this done for myself and only wish I would of sooner.

I'm neurotic about my eyebrows and making sure they are perfect and she fulfilled my dreams by eliminating the need for eyebrow pencil!!! This was amazing! Can't even say how this is a game changer to your eyebrows. Yes I have dark hair but they have thinned out over the years and I have to fill them in. They were measured out, she helped design and it was with working together that we agreed on shape. Which was great she took photos and sat me up to make sure different views was great! Looks like real hair! Nice and full as far as pain it isn't bad. No worse then getting tweezed. She did test spot also to make sure my skin was ok with dye. Cost is $450 and touch ups depend on you but they cost $75

It was my first time trying microblading. Elda was amazing and did a wonderful job. She listens and includes her costumers suggestions as part of their experience. I will definitely see her again.
