I have gone to this place for many many years for all of my piercing needs and most of my tattoo needs. They are always very friendly staff but especially James. I can be like a kid in a candy store looking at all his jewelry and I'll spend hours with him and he is very patient to help me put together what I'm looking for and looking up multiple prices and giving me many ideas. I have found that most other places are only thinking about the money they'll make so if you don't purchase something in the first few minutes they're not interested in helping you. James is different. He helps you realize your dream of what your piercings should be and puts together a look that will make you happy. Read Less

All the artists are great, the piercers are very friendly and professional, and the whole shop consistently puts out quality work! Jim was fantastic!!! My roommates and I drove an hour each way just because this place had such good reviews (whereas everything near by us is garbage), and because the Holey Body website was superb! The process overall took two hours for four piercings total, but it was wonderful throughout. I got my eyebrow pierced, my one roommate wanted a new earring and got her conch after Jim's suggestion (and it looks great on her), and my other roommate got her first lobes. Overall it was a little pricey but you get what you pay for!!! First time there,& I had Nick do a tattoo on the inner side of my forearm. Honestly the best, most relaxed, social /personal tattoo artist i have ever met. He did an excellent job, made me feel comfortable and knew what he was doing. What that means, is unlike some other artists, he didn't dig the needle painfully in my skin, and knew needle depth. He didn't need to go over anything more than once and it felt positively professional. My first review on anything, so a bit awkward explaining. Old Town Tattoo and Holey Body are the only place I would trust or recommend for tattoos or piercings. The shop is immaculate, you're always greeted promptly and treated with kindness and respect (not like other shops where you feel awkward and get ignored). I went there today with a friend so she could get her belly button pierced. A man that works here named Jim was extremely friendly and helpful in making sure she recieved the right piercing! He explained how he did the safest piercings and how he always made sure everything was completely sanitized before piercing. He was definitely true to his word! You can waste your money on a cheap place that will give you a cockeyed piercing or you can get an expertymy placed piercing in a sanitary environment for a fair price. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their craft. Do yourself a favor and just go to Old Town Tattoo. Read Less

I'm reviewing solely upon my experiences with the piercers. I have had nothing but excellent, well above-average encounters with both Jim and Zoe. They are by far the most knowledgeable, trustworthy, professional, non-intimidating, and skillful piercers I've yet to be poked by. I've been going there for over 4 years and I've loved all my piercings! The jewelry options are endless! They'll even change your ends for you and downsize bars at very minimal cost when you've healed a bit. I can't speak to the tattoos, but this is THE place to go in the Tri-Cities for a piercing. James is the main piercer and he has years of experience. He keeps up on the latest news about piercing safety and takes his job very seriously, and I trust him more than anyone else in this field. He's done several of my own piercings and when my child wanted a piercing, I insisted on taking him to James instead of going the piercing-gun-at-the-mall route. Honestly I drive about 20 miles to go here even though other places are much closer. James may look a little intimidating because he has multiple facial piercings, but he's an incredibly nice guy and really knows what he's doing. My very first piercing was ten years ago here.  I had my first tattoo here, as well as another more complicated piercing.  They started my piercing/tattoo addiction!  They have NEVER let me down and have always been professional.  Jim is the main piercer.  He made me feel really at ease, & calmed my nerves completely when I had the more complicated piercing done.  I've also had quite a few friends go here for piercings and tattoos, and they all loved going here too.  I would highly recommend this place over most of the others in the tri...Ive been to quite a few and think they're one of the best. This is like the only place to get nicer body jewelry in town. That being said you may have to hang out with the younger crowd in saginaw. A bunch of tatted kids getting more tats or more piercings or whatever. I am not that adorned and felt weird being in here versus the several other places I've gone for my body jewelry.
