This place was so incredibly unprofessional.First things first, a handful of years back, I'd gone in. I had the top and bottom of my belly button pierced already. I wanted the sides pierced as well (so all 4 sides were pierced). They said no problem, and got to it. When they pierced it, it wasn't straight across but completely crooked! It looked so disgusting. When I told them, they said I could come back and get it redone. I went back to get it redone, and they did it again, over the old piercing OUCH and again it was crooked! So the third time I went in, they promised to get it right..... and it was crooked again. They literally could not pierce in a straight line. I ended up just taking it out.More recently I got a little tattoo on my hand.It's a little coffee cup. It's supposed to be adorable. But NONE of the lines are uniform! The left side is super thick and the right side is thinner, and you can see where there was a slip up, and the little heat lines above the cup literally smush together and don't even look like lines, because they were so thick. I'm pretty angry about that so I never went back. I now go to Wonderland Tattoo in St. Clair Shores, and they have seriously just been amazing. :) Read Less

Out of every shop I've went to, rockstar will forever have my heart. Their store itself is clean and the scary is always a pleasure to talk to! They fixed multiple mistakes done by other piercers and tattoo artists on me over the years and I swear I will never trust anyone else to do ANY type of art to my body. After being turned away from Wonderland for a simple navel piercing they happily did it! And from there I had two nose rings done and tomorrow I'm getting myDaith pierced! Would honestly give them no stars if I could but that was not an option. I called Rockstar Tattoo around the time they opened and spoke to one of the artists on the phone. Told him I was looking to get a really small and quick tattoo sometime that day and he told me he was pretty busy now but if I came in the shop around 5 PM he would definitely be able to tattoo me. I arrived there around 4:45 to be courteous. I know there is paperwork involved and other things before I can even be tattooed. I walk in and its pretty slammed. No one even acknowledges me for about ten minutes as I am just sitting there waiting. Someone finally comes up to me and I tell them what I was told on the phone and she tells me to wait one minute as she finishes with someone else. Her one minute was obviously twenty minutes. I sit in this shop waiting and waiting for someone to finally tell me I can wait about another 20 minutes to get my tattoo done because the guy who I talked to on the phone was apparently busy and couldn't see me anymore. I worked the front desk at a dental office and I know how overbooking gets and I truly believe everyone there handled the situation horribly. They should of told me in the first place that they were busy and could not see me that day instead of wasting my time and having me sit in that shop staring at the ceiling. They also quoted my two inch tattoo that was just a outline and would not even take more than ten minutes at 80 bucks. I am a great tipper. I would never spend more than 100 on a tattoo of that size in a shop located in ROSEVILLE. PS don't ever let "Smiley" pierce your septum. I got mine done by him years ago and he pierced mine so low that it looked stupid on me. Not only did I look stupid, but it was so low it closed two days after I took it out after having it in for two years. Had my rook pierced here a few months ago and have gone through months of pain and blood blisters. Went to a new piercer for my industrial to not only find out that my rook wasn't pierced on the correct angle, but that they took a straight barbell and bent it themselves to make it curved. Pain of the piercing itself, months of pain only to have to remove it, and now have to wait a year to pierce it again the correct way! Please, be smarter than I was and make sure you're using a well trained/experienced piercer! Forgot to add how I requested a snug piercing and he gave me a shitty "faux" one!Four months later, still swollen, not healed at all, and sad I didn't realize how much pain and pressure it gave me until I felt the relief after it was removed. Piece of shit place. My coworker and i got our nose pierced from here and the male that's pierced her was young and a great piercer. Mine on the other hand was a bald man who obviously hated his career and didn't even use a clamp to make sure my piercing was straight or give me the breathing warnings. (My coworker told me thank god I got mine first or i would NOT HAVE gotten it done) Well within 2 months my piercing rejecting and I have never EVER had issues with my piercings. I have had very many done by terry at lance Keller. The only reason we went here was for convenience. Overall, her piercing had been good and mine was a disaster. I have had my septum done with no issues by terry at lance Keller and I had to fight the issues with a simple nose ring at this place. Went there for the first time a few years ago with my girlfriends and we all got the same tattoo. We had such a great experience that I came back for my nose ring. I had Joey for my piercer and he was great! He was very thorough from beginning to the end. He explained so much in detail. My experience here was by far the worst, I came here back in 2011 and got my navel piercing, I don't remember the piercers name exactly but he was the worst I ever had, he didn't even tell me how to do anything before he touched me didn't tell Me how to clean or nothing, the young girl at the counter had to tell me how to clean the piercing.... I got my nose pierced there 6 yrs ago. I got a tat on my ankle, for my Irish heritage. That was my first at Rockstar, but my 3rd tat. July 21st, I lost my soulmate, he died at home, suddenly. He was a Dallas Cowboy fanatic, so I have the star on my left upper arm, his name in the star, then date of birth & death under it. On Mother's Day my daughter & I got mine & her's thumb prints, that form a heart, & these words going through it; love you forever, like you for always, long as I'm living, my baby you'll be. I went here to get my nose pierced about 7 years ago and had a great experience, so I chose to go back a couple months ago to get the other nostril pierced, and I wasn't entirely pleased. Even though the piercer spent a couple minutes just trying to get the placement of the new piercing to match up with the other side, he didn't use a clamp, and the guy who did the other nostril did use one, so the needles from each piercing went through at different angles and I'm not completely happy with the way it looks. Not to mention, he didn't even give me a countdown or anything, he just told me to take a deep breath and then shoved the needle through without any warning, which didn't personally bother me, but I know that many people wouldn't appreciate that. The new piercing doesn't look terrible, but my whole purpose for getting both sides pierced was so that I could wear a hoop on each side, but now I have to wear a hoop on one side with a stud on the other because you can clearly see how uneven the piercings are when I wear the same type of jewelry on either side. That being said, everyone was friendly for the most part, the service was quick and moderately priced, and the environment and equipment used were sanitary, so I'm not entirely disappointed with my experience, I just wish that it would have worked out the way I wanted it to. I went to Rockstar to have the initials of my children added to some dead space within an existing tattoo. I was able to walk in on a Saturday afternoon and be seen without an appointment or a problem. Unfortunately, the dead space proved too small to work with, but Mark (the artist) had a recommendation to put them around it instead. After picking a font and sizing it up on the computer, Mark was very meticulous about his stencil placement, correcting it once because it wasn't level to the other set of initials. I appreciate that kind of care one has for their craft. That let me know right away I'd found a good artist.Once the work began, Mark was very professional and friendly. When he switched from one ink to another, he de-gloved, got an entirely new needle and re-gloved. The entire establishment is immaculate, and Mark's license and accreditation is on display. The tat literally took 5 minutes - I know this because he finished it in the running time of a Metallica song ("Nothing Else Matters", in case you're curious). When he was done, he offered to freshen up the tat the initials surrounded at no extra cost, which only took another 10 minutes, tops. Did not balk at all about the price and tipping as well. Quality work deserves a reasonable reward. Even better, somehow, he was able to tat me without turning the area into a mess; when I removed the bandage, there was minimal blood, and there hasn't been any since, nor any swelling or itching.When I moved to Michigan, I left behind an awesome studio, and I've been reluctant to get new ink because finding a new studio is difficult. It's not like a restaurant, where a bad experience the one night. But Mark was a fantastic artist and Rockstar is a great place to get a tattoo. All my future ink will be done there. Read Less

Terrible terrible -  Brian I think his name was sucked at changing my tragus piercings first when I told him that I wanted it changed from a bar to small hoop he said " why do you have to give me all the hard ones" and I was super confused - like really? No confidence.... Anyways - he struggled for like 10-15 mins and I told him I would just go some where  else . So that got him to get the jewelry in but he made them bleed and hurt me - ( never even bleed when I got them pierced by Joe at Rockstar ) and he dropped my jewelry on the ground . He also pierced my nose which was the worst pain I have ever experienced from a piercing - I have had many piercings in previous years - (nose, laberet, monroe, nipples twice, belly button , both tragus , lip three times ) my nose was bleeding everywhere and took forever to heal and it still hurts if jewelry goes in a certain way when changing it - I got it done back in January. --- I guess you get what you pay for - $25 aint worth it - I could have done a better job myself at home - Never again will I go back and I hope they get shut down - not professional at all. Came here to get my medusa pierced. Called before coming to see what time theyClosed and the woman on the phone was very friendly. Came in and sat there chatting for a couple minutes with her and another guy at the front desk. Both were cool andEasy to talk to. Smiley did my piercing and made me feel very comfortable. Horrible horrible work, overpayed for crap work. Got my tattoo done here in august of last year, didnt use enough ink, inked too deep, and he couldnt even hold the gun straight. Lines were uneven. I came here 3 differant times to get 4 piercings done. Every single one turned out horrible. Non of them were straight. When I got my tregus done he used such a big ring it wouldn't even go down.it stayed sideways. The rings they use also tend to break for no reason. My nipples have horrible scars and you can tell how crooked they were. Same thing with my bellybutton. None of my piercings came out straight. None of my friends tattoos came out right, and whoever is leaveing all these great reviews probably works there. Read Less

I can't say anything but positive things about this shop, The staff is very professional and the work that they do is pretty good, the price is also pretty reasonable, so far this shop is the best I've been into around here in metro Detroit , and I've been around shops that do a pretty good work but charges you with outrageous price. I have went to Rockstar (Cezar)  for two of my tattoos and he did a fantastic job. it's clean inside and the people are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Both times, I walked in and had a concept, but did not have an example or sample and Cezar drew exactly what I wanted. Also, in this arena you really do not want to go for the cheapest option, but he was insanely inexpensive for the work he did. I would highly suggest seeing him for a tattoo or even if you just have an idea for one. Read Less
