I have had all my tattoos done by Tom O. He does great work; I have had my entire back, chest and arm done by him. Don’t let the shop fool you. There is a lot of other equipment, clothes racks, art work, and horror masks on display. The amount of talent that is in this shop is amazing. Every time I visit Detroit, this is one of the locations I come to just to say hi. For people planning or considering getting a tattoo, the best way to have a better experience is to set up a consultation and appt through email. Don’t do it half-assed and is Facebook. Read Less

My first instinct here was that the place seemed like a dirty hole in the wall sort of place, but appearances can be deceiving so I went in anyways. The inside gave me a bad vibe, hard to describe. We... Read More
My first instinct here was that the place seemed like a dirty hole in the wall sort of place, but appearances can be deceiving so I went in anyways. The inside gave me a bad vibe, hard to describe. We went here just to inquire with someone about a potential tattoo. A little girl came out to talk to us and we told her we just wanted to talk to someone. She went back and told the artist, and he said they don't accept walk-ins and didn't even try to tell us himself. It struck me as very rude and unprofessional so the last thing I'll do is go online and initiate any sort of interaction further with this place. Read Less

HORRIBLE!!! My girlfriend/best friend of 15 years died on July 20, 2015 from a combination of complications from heart disease and diabetes. I had recently started talking to a girl I was friends with when I was 10 yrs old online and I knew she was into tats. So, I asked her for a suggestion of a good local shop and she suggested this place. I approached Tom online privately and at first our conversation was going great. At the end of August, I decided one day that I was going to go to the dispensary in Detroit as a medical marijuana patient, so, I sent Tom a message on his FB page letting him know this and that because of this, I would be able to stop on the way home at his shop and talk about some ideas. I ended up not making it, but, next time I logged on to FB that day, I suddenly see all of these infantile, immature comments from "friends" of his (friends don't treat friends the way the did him in this instance) mocking my comment because I mentioned going to the dispensary. One immature fool posted a meme accusing me of being an undercover. Another ditzy female made some kind of comment regarding my dispensary comment that made little to zero sense and there were still another 4-5 more. At that point, I decided that Tom Oullette is not professional enough to get my money. If his friends had any respect for him, at all, knowing that the post they were making fun of was a BUSINESS post in which two men were doing BUSINESS w/ each other, they wouldn't have posted anything. That's a sign of complete and utter disrespect for your so-called "friend". If fools are doing that online and Tom has no problem w/ it (as he didn't when I approached him in private), how do I know friends of his aren't going to be possibly hanging out in the shop and making fun of me for something else? So, all in all, when you let your friends post comments like that on a post where two men are trying to do business, that's a problem in a lot more ways than one. Tom is lacking professionalism and that's why I'm taking my business elsewhere. Read Less
