I'm 53 (yep, 53) and got my first tattoo. I stopped by Daybreak on a Saturday right when they opened, Nick had a last minute cancellation, and would do my tattoo right then. Joy! I had brought a book with some basic line drawings of trilobites, and had selected a few possibilities. Nick saw them, said he thought he could improve on them if a gave him a few minutes. Just, wow, what he came up with as a tattoo was amazing. MUCH better than my books crude drawings. I was even mo...re astounded at the bold lines and subtle shading that he did as he tattooed me. Artwork. I was pretty hesitant about this tattoo thing, but Nick is really friendly and outgoing, honest and caring. Both about his work and I think his customers. The place is super clean, well decorated and inviting. I feel that I was extremely lucky finding Nick at Daybreak. I've already had a second tattoo done by Nick, and now have my third in mind. Nick is the man. The style he's been working on lately is amazing, and I feel like it's going places. However, he's good at knocking out a wide range of other styles just as well. (As in the art nouveau piece he did on my best friend's arm, and one on my thigh are so good) One thing I appreciate about him on top of his skill is his honesty. He has no problem telling you like it is, which in some cases may seem shitty at the time, but believe me I'm sure you'll be thankful down the road if you listen to his advice. He won't bullshit you or dick you around. (Unless you deserve it, in which case I'm still on his side.) Nick is absolutely fantastic! HIGHLY recommend this artist. He's a one man band at this shop, and isn't afraid to run with your idea and make a one of a kind creation for you.
