I’ve been to many tattoo places and this was by far my best experience. I showed Calico the tattoo I wanted and he added his own twist to it making it beyond what I’d expected. Great place with great people, highly recommend.

I would visit Calico when his shop was in Jackson. So naturally you go to who you’re comfortable with. Not only is he a humble dude, but he’s one hell of an artist too. I stopped in to get a captain Spaulding with moderate expectations. He knocked it outta the park crisp detail bold color. I was thourghly impressed at the end. I will be going back to visit 13 roses tattoo again for future ink purposes. Thank you John

Calico has done 98% of my tattoos, and even fixed one he didn’t do! He’s a fantastic artist, with every single addition to my skin I go to him because i know I’m in FANTASTIC hands. Never had a complaint about his work. He’s very clean, a good conversationalist and extremely talented. I recommend everyone who asks me about body art to him! Well worth the drive from Jackson to marshal!

Absolutely love my hand tattoos done by Johnny Calico. I came to him for a cover up on both hands and I was worried that he would tell me I needed Laser removal of the previous art first, but he took on my pretty daunting project with confidence and professionalism. 13Roses is a clean, professional shop and I enjoyed the 6 hours spent on my hands.
Calico is easy to schedule an appointment with, he took my vision of the tattoos I wanted, added a little bit of his own personalization and executed them with ease. His work is top of the line. On top of having strong artistic ability, he’s kind, relatable and easy to talk to while tattooing.
I couldn’t be happier with how bright and clean my tattoos look. Everyone compliments them and I always recommend Johnny Calico when asked where I get my work done.

Extremely rude. Sign says walk ins areally welcome, but when I walked in they told me no and that they wouldn't do my tattoo. Definitely do not recommend this place!
