Just got a helix piercing! Like the other commenters, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the studio, and the professionalism of the people who work there. The receptionist and Brooke were both super friendly and helpful. Lots of jewellery options to choose from, and I thought the prices were reasonable. They took time to explain everything, including aftercare. Safety is a big priority, clearly.Some nerdy comments - I'm a microbiologist, and was happy to see the autoclave (where they sterilize your jewellery after you choose it), complete with a recent inspection sticker. Certificates are posted showing that the piercers have had bloodborne pathogen training (among other certifications). Brooke's aseptic technique was excellent. I also appreciated her letting me know what she was doing, and what to expect at each step. She was wonderful - it was quick (if not quite painless), and I am thrilled with the result!While they apparently can take credit cards, there's a $5 fee (which they warned me about when I called earlier), so you probably want to bring cash. I visited here yesterday after looking for a new piercing shop try. I was VERY happy with the experience. This place is extremely professional and friendly. The lady at the front desk was super nice and explained all the jewelry choices and prices in detail, and then gave me her recommendations. After that they used an autoclave machine to disinfect and sanitize the jewelry right in front of you. We then proceeded with where I wanted the placement on my ear to be, once both m...e and my piercer were happy with where the dots were she sanitized my ear with iodine and we went ahead with doing to actual piercing. Everything went super quick and easy and I'm in love with my new peircings (double tragus)! They even gave me a paper with aftercare instructions and tips and tricks to make the healing process as easy as possible. With the jewelry included and a FREE bottle of cleaner it was a total of $90. This will definitely be my new go-to shop. No piercing studio close by had the exact industrial strength clicker model I was looking for.  I noticed Eternal piercing was an authorized dealer of industrial strength jewelry. After a quick call, I was able to come in and make a custom order of the 'Helios' clicker. I was properly checked for correct size, as I have a high pierced septum, picked my colors, and made a deposit. When I walked in it was exactly what I was hoping for, it is a well-kept establishment that exudes an aura of professionalism. My wife decided she wanted to get a helix cartilage piercing here, after finding it on the association of professional piercers' website. Tyler was very personable, charming, and thorough in explaining every step of what he was doing. His certifications and diploma are on clear display, as well as the inspection check sticker on their autoclave. Every single signal you get from when you walk in the door really makes you feel confident and safe you picked the right place.As far as anything negative, they had a Visa/Mastercard sticker on the door, but there was a sign on the counter asking for cash only (maybe the machine was down that day). I guess I would have preferred to pay with credit card, but I always bring extra cash to small businesses because this is not an uncommon situation so I didn't even ask about using a card. Got a nostril piercing done at Empire Tattoo in Redford. The guy was good with the needle, I'll give him that, the selection there is lame, and the guy said he couldn't help me switch out the jewlry citing his "fat fingers. " I went to ETERNAL PIERCING in Livonia and the fine professionals there helped me make an educated choice from a large selection of fine QUALITY jewlry that the guy there happily fitted me with. I had my nose pierced around ten years ago, and it was worst. I had to take it out due to problems with infection. I've never forgotten that level of pain when it was done, but I wanted it done again so I finally got up the courage to do it. Tyler was AMAZING! I expected the same level of pain as before, but he was so fast and it hurt SO much less that it actually made me smile while he was doing it. He made me laugh so I wasn't so afraid, and then he did such a great job that I can't imagine ever going to anyone else. He took the time to tell me exactly how to care for it, answered any questions I had, and told me to come back in a month so he could look at it and make sure it's healing right. Stopped by the shop today to install some jewelry in my tragus, which had slightly closed but was able to get a regular earring through. I'm too much of a wimp to push a gauged piece through myself. Brooke was so helpful and very accommodating. She installed the hardware with no charge and no problems and then fitted me for the perfect nostril hoop. Was happy to buy jewelry from her since she was so nice to let me try it out before I made my decision. I will always recommend Eternal Piercing and now have high regard for Brooke! So I got a shitty septum piercing done at another shop and I really wanted it out. I spent all night last night trying to get it out with no luck! It was crooked and way to far back.I called eternal and was told to come in, even though I had this piercing done at the another shop. The guy (I didn't catch his name) was friendly and helpful. He got the piercing out within 10 minutes and I was a happy camper! He told me what they did wrong at the other shop and was really sympathetic to the pain it was causing me. The guy was super nice and seemed knowledgeable about piercings. The environment was clean and sterile. They had a large variety of jewelry to choose from. This is the only piercing parlor where I feel safe having work done. While the staff isn't a bunch of smiley, happy go lucky sunshiney types, they know what they are doing and respect your decision on what piercing you want. Their piercing prices are reasonable, but I would really go somewhere else for jewelry.They take their work seriously. I have been pierced here previously and had a good experience. However, the customer service leaves A LOT to be desired.A while back, I had come in to purchase some jewelry. I found what I was looking for and asked to purchase it. I was asked what it was for and I said that I was either going to use it in my tragus and/or get a Madonna piercing with it at a later date. I was asked if I was going to be pierced at Eternal and I told them no, because I have an artist that worked elsewhere. I was then told (with quite a pissy attitude) "Ya, no. I'm not selling you jewelry so that you can go and get pierced somewhere else. I'm NOT going to do that". I haven't been back since and I am always quick to let others know of my experience at Eternal Piercing. Today, Brooke pierced my tragus. I've been pierced before, but never on such thick cartilage. She did a great job making it quick and virtually painless. She thoroughly explained the after care cleaning process and even gave me an after care sheet with her phone # if I had any problems. I could not be any more happy with the results. The pricing wasn't too bad (40) compared to other places like Pangea in Ann Arbor. My only regret is that I did not leave a tip because my friend paid for me.
