The place is easy to find and there's convenient parking close by, the place is both clean and comfortable, and the people are super. My piercer was awesome, very friendly and confident about what she was doing (quick too!). The tattoo artist my friend saw was just as awesome; quick with his work (stenciling and tattooing) and worked very clean lines. I called to inquire pricing for changing a dermal jewelry top that I couldn't unscrew myself a couple weeks ago. Finally made it in today (no appointment, just walked-in). Though there was one person there at the time (busy on the phone) she acknowledged us and motioned us to go to her. She asked us how she could help and I told her; their piercer wasn't going to be in until 2pm (it was only 1:18pm). Lucky me, I didn't need to wait until 2, their piercer showed up early. It took maybe 3 minutes to figure out the right tool to unscrew my crooked dermal jewelry top off. Yay! Also it was done with no charge! My experience here was a good one. Many, many positive experiences from other customers and the staff had been doing their job for many years. Once I actually stepped foot into Crazy Monkey Tattoos, I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean and kept up the area inside the building looked. The floor was clean, the display cases neat looking, and neat looking inside. Also, I was greeted by a very welcoming voice to come up to their main area, this was also nice. After meeting Leanne, my piercer, I felt very comfortable. The upstairs was very clean, they were organized, and she was very competent while preparing my piercings and doing it. She also made sure I knew the aftercare needed to keep my piercings clean and made sure I could contact her at any time if I needed to. I would give this place zero stars if I could. No pictures of their tattoos on the walls. They had openings when nobody else did on a Saturday--that's a sign right there. It was dirty, disorganized, and just plain weird. The piercing apprentice had the grossest infected nose piercing I've ever seen. I'd recommend Old Anchor down in Portage for a way better experience. This place was not very organized, professional, or clean. Went with my friend to get her ear pierced and they got it done in two minutes.. Her piercing was very crooked and wasn't done well at all. There were workers smoking outside when we walked up. People running around inside with their music playing loud. This one guy was on his phone ignoring us when we asked for prices.
