Shane @ Wicked Ways Tattoo Shop (Plainfield Location) is by far the most unprofessional and unreliable person I've worked with in the tattoo world, or any service oriented business for that matter. To start I thought it would be a good experience to move over to this shop for the work I want done. I stopped in one day during the week asking about having some work done and I felt comfortable with the environment and the knowledge of the guy I spoke with enough that I asked about making an appointment. It was at that time that the bearded guy (who seems to always be there) referred me to Shane to have the type of work done I want, stating he was a good artist for my type of "dark" work. So, appointment set, come in on Saturday February 28th at 12pm, yup, I showed up, Shane's not there, okay, I went and got some food, a car wash, gas, you know things to pass the time. I returned about 45 minutes later "nope, Shane's still not here, he's supposed to be here at noon, let me call," no answer, unable to reach Shane. Well, I tried to be understanding, stuff happens. I called back later in the week, made a new appointment, for 2 weeks out, March 14 @ 2pm, showed up early, the bearded guy tells me my appointment wasn't until 3pm and Shane's not there yet because he's looking for a ride, "come back in a little bit," I did. Shane's still not in, bearded guy calls him and hands me the phone. Shane tells me his sister is in ICU after a terrible car accident and he's trying to find a ride in. I'm not a jerk, I tell Shane if he wants to we can just try again in 2 weeks. He takes me up on it and tells me how thankful he is, asks me to email him a picture of my arm to be finished and we'd go from there. I call him later to check in, ask how his sister is feeling and with confusion in his voice he says "ummmm good," we set up my next appointment, and email my picture, it bounces back to me so I call and text Shane to see where I should try again. No answer and no call or text back. Oh well, people get busy. So my next appointment is for March 29 @ 12:00pm, I show up at 12:30pm since I'm sure he won't be there anyway. Sure enough a different person is there and asks if I have an appointment and with who, tells me "We're waiting on Shane, your appointment is at 1:00 right?" I again go get food and return, it's the bearded guy this time who then says "Shane's not here, he's not due in until 3:00pm." Enough is enough, strike 3! I ask him if Chris (owner) is aware of how unprofessional Shane is? His response is "He will be," he doesn't apologize for the massive waste of time and now 6 weeks of trying to get some work done that would've been healed by now if Shane had ANY sense of work ethic and professionalism! Sad! Truly disappointed and will make sure everyone knows it! I will gladly go to the competition even if it costs me more, I don't mind paying more for good service and someone respecting my time and being happy to have me as a customer. Read Less
