I had gone a few years ago and had a neck tattoo done turned out pretty good so decided for my mother's memorial tattoo I'd go back, Zack Kelley did my tattoo, we'll the base of what will be eventually my mom's memorial tattoo, turned out amazing, and he was awesome! Went around getting quotes for two, small, simple tattoos. Drove all the way across town and the guy who talked to me seemed like he was better than anyone else and was very rude. I asked how much itd be and he said $150! I told him i had been getting quotes for $60-$80.....he said it was going to be $60 for a tattoo maybe 2 inches big and was 4 "letters" and that would mean the other one would have been $90??? And that was "hakuna matata" small on my coller bone.....will never return. Felt like since i was alone they were trying to rip a girl off. � Read Less

Zack Kelley is an extremely talented artist and is amazing to work with. I was always hesitant of getting work done or choosing an artist because of the extensive detail, line work, and shading that the pieces I like require. Zack assured me that it was right up his alley, with the utmost confidence, while still being incredibly humble. Any images or ideas I shared with him he quickly redesigned in his head and explained to me in a way that made me like it more than the orig...inal idea. I currently have 10 hours in on my side piece and it's everything I had hoped for and more, with minor tweaks for the better on Zack's part. The first 5 hour session seemed to fully heal within 5-6 days with proper care. Zack bookes an appointment, didn't show because he was getting his own tatto. Gator is the best && a true life saver!! With that being said, never ever book an appointment with Zack . I paid a deposit and booked an appointment & he didn't even show up. He will tell you to send your artwork to their e-mail address but he won't bother to even draw it up. I thought he was nice && legit until he lied and stood up us-very unprofessional! That is not how an artist should be nor r...epresent the place they work for. Gator was awesome and nice enough to draw up and do tattoos for my husband and I. He was friendly and hilarous all the while with making us feel comfortable. Went to this shop (28th st location) back in the summer with my two friends to all get tattoos. We were greeted by the... I assume receptionist tho I'm not sure... who said "hi what do u want?" So already I'm feeling off. We told her we all wanted tattoos and she had us start filling out paperwork. She then asked us how we were going to pay (mind you without even telling us pricing details or talking to any artist) and said their CC machine was not working so we could go to t...he atm at down the street. Which we did. Fine. We get back and the artist... which I apologize I do not know his name, but I do know he was married to the receptionist... who finally went over pricing. He then told us he had to sanitize his station. No biggie! Meanwhile the person who I believe was the piercer is sitting outside the store on a blanket having a picnic with his gf, which honestly is just unprofessional in any right. When he finally got everything set up and us all back to his station, he kept walking away and disappearing for minutes at a time and we had no idea what he was doing or what was going on. Also when he did one of my friends tattoos, he thought it ok to hock a loogie into the trash can right behind her. He also made a comment about my other friends lightning bolt being about "white power." Are you kidding? Completely unprofessional the entire time. And now, only 5 months later, all of our tattoos are faded, patchy, and look like we've had them for 5 years! And we also are all very pale people who avoid the sun and also have other tattoos that look better that are older. I'm extremely unsatisfied with the quality and care of this shop. I got my snakebites done here over the summer, and it was a great experience. Dylon was my man, and he very clearly was in his element. The room he took me to was very clean, and he washed his hands in front of me, and opened everything from sterile packaging onto a sterile environment, so I was very at ease about not getting an infection from a dirty procedure. He let me be very finicky about the dot placement on my lip for the piercings, and he laid to rest my fears about getting pierced through scar tissue, because it was my second time with snakebites (they had been done crooked before despite perfect dot placement, ergh!) and I wanted them in the same spot. He was very good about keeping the environment relaxed, even let me choose what music we listened to while we were doing it!  My piercings are completely symmetrical, and they healed so fast! i haven't had a single infection, and they are just perfect. This is my go to place for piercings from now on! They also have some of the cheapest piercing prices in town, and they have deals all the time! I brought my friend here to get her nose pierced, and I would take any friend there for a piercing. Read Less
