GreenLion Studios is a personal tattoo studio and art gallery housed by multidisciplinary artist BJ Johnson. The gallery hosts a variety of artists whose works are authentic and exude personal style. Exhibitions include representation of regional, national, and international contemporary fine craft and art works. The studio hosts private tattoo appointments and artist receptions for exhibitions. Green Lion Studios is located in Eastown of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are open by Appointment on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Saturday, and for special events hosted by the gallery.

This is my first substantial tattoo (the other being very small initials under my wedding ring). BJ listened to my idea and came up with a good first draft. Although it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, it gave me a great base to work off of. The second draft was perfect so we set up the tattoo date. It took two and a half hours to complete. We had great conversation, which was a tremendous help when tattooing the sensitive spots. I love the end results. I followed his after care instructions carefully and I had my husband do a close inspection when it was all healed. He said the lines are great, the shading looks really good as well and overall it’s pretty and sexy. I love it! Thanks BJ! Can’t wait for the next one!!
