Great people and great artists! I took a small drawing to Katherine and she did an amazing job. It was two bats, a ball, and the number 3, in memory of my sister. The details in the ball stitches and bat grain are incredible. The edges on the number 3 are sharp and defined. I love it and so does everyone else who has seen it so far. I went 3 weeks ago for 2 tattoos one on my wrist & finger I paid 90 its only been 3 weeks & my tattoo has almost completely vanished I sent a photo to the artist & the response was ill do it again for 50 henna last longer than this & I didn't pay 50 for the tattoo I'll never be back & I dont recommend this place! Hubby and I decided to have our custom logo for both. This was hubby's first tat. After consulting with Tammy he was comfortable enough to step into the world of tattoo at 59. I sent her our logo and when we arrived, she asked me if I might like a female version for myself. I hadn't thought of it but, am glad she did. She made us both comfortable and definitely has an easy hand compared to my last tattoo. They came out beautiful and both hubby and I are extremely happy. This is one of the best tattoo experiences I have ever had...and I have had many of all kinds....I walked in, I told the guy ( Johnny ) what I wanted and we had a legitimate consultation. One of the best peices of advice I can give anyone going to get a tattoo, first or last, is to let your Artist have some creative freedom. Let your Artist consult you the best way they know how, they are the professional and more importantly the Artist. They will do their best work when you let them do their artistry. I've recently been wanting another tattoo so I had been going around to the shops in the area to check out the artists portfolios, cleanliness, and general feel of each place. you figure you're going to have to live with your purchase so you better like the place and the people too, or at the very least be comfortable when you're there. Generally I don't like the smell of tattoo shops because of the ointments that are used (this isn't the fault of ANY shop, just my own personal issue) and it can be hard to feel welcome when it seems like the artists at the place have several of their friends just hanging around taking attention away from the actual customers that have questions. Fortunately I was able to avoid either of these issues at Cherokee Creek, I had a good feeling about the place but for some reason it was the last one I stopped at.It was an off night so I was lucky enough to be the only one in at the time, I was going to just make an appointment for a couple days later but decided to just get the work done since I was there. The design wasn't complicated but it does have a lot of detail. John (the owner) was very accommodating, professional and easy to talk to. Maybe it's because I'm older but it was refreshing to have a guy who was very down to earth and let his work do the talking for him. Please keep in mind that people may like the other shops in the area and find the artists and their work more in line with what they're looking for, this particular one is just the one that fit me best. The shop is clean, doesn't have that tattoo shop smell, and has plenty of room. John did a great job not only with the outline but also suggesting color combinations which resulted in a tattoo I'm very proud of. Price is fair, artist really knows what he's doing, relaxed atmosphere, no nonsense very professional. Also a great choice if you want portrait work done. Look forward to going back. Read Less

Don't go there. I went there for some additional work on my favorite tat and they ruined it. I had two pine trees added to it and they look like two dark green triangles.
