My shop standards are high - most of my many hours of ink/piercings were done by tattoo artists Mike Bruce, Wayne Gornto, Tokyo Hiro and Santana to name a few, but just 1 piercer, Chris Rosenberg, all artists of the world-renowned Inksmith & Rogers studios in Florida. Now that’s a tough team to beat!
Let’s face it - just simply walking in to a shop can be an anxiety-ridden experience on its own, but throw in a rude or neglectful staff/team, that’s a recipe for “I’ll never go there again!” Nothing worse than that. Remember, YOU are paying the artist, they are not paying you.
Upon walking in to Tried and Tru, I was greeted by friendly and courteous staff who answered my questions when I walked in to inquire about a new septum piercing. I wasnt mentally prepared to go through with it right then but rather just wanted to ask some questions-hey I was nervous! Gypsy Carol greeted me in a super calm manner which served as the mood of the whole experience. Her calmness in return made me feel calm; to the point where I wasn’t even nervous anymore. She was thorough in explaining the process and addressed my concerns with care & took her time which I appreciated. So with her steady hand, precise placement of the needle and my deep breath in and out, my septum ring was in and that was that! Quick, easy & my eyes didn’t even tear up which to me meant that she found that perfect spot to pierce. She explained the aftercare thoroughly too. To sum it up, I was very impressed! I’m so glad to add Gypsy Carol’s name to my elite artists list!

I was referred to Gypsy Carol for a Daith piercing by my neurologist so I checked the shop out online and found great reviews. My friend and I went together and while I haven't had a piercing in quite a few years, she's had several in her ears. Gypsy Carol was very professional, clean and took the time to explain everything in a way that was not condescending. Overall, the experience was phenomenal... my friend told Carol that she was the best piercer she had ever had. It's been 2 weeks and everything is healing perfectly along with almost no headaches! I would recommend Gypsy Carol to anyone looking for a piercing and I would definitely go back again!

Forget the mall and take your child into the tattoo shop and have the professionals take care of you. I will be back for sure!

They do some really amazing pieces here! Best shop in town no doubt. Professional in every respect and its overall a great atmosphere to be in. This shop gives off nothing, but good vibes. Highly, highly recommend this place. James work there is real solid, real clean, real amazing. I've been tattooed by jason and he's really cool to talk to and very light handed which is nice. I've seen gypsy pierce and she's very professional, very educational and very good at her job. I have nothing bad to say and I think this is honestly the best shop in the area without a doubt.

I had such a wonderful experience today when I went to get my tattoos! Jason was my artist today and he is excellent! He made me feel really comfortable and even worked with me since I had to being my son along and really listened when I told him what I was going for with my tattoos. Everyone in there is always so open and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel like you belong in their shop. Keep up the stellar work guys!

I got my left ear daith piercing after a lot research and consideration. A friend recommended Gypsy Carol and she was great! She was knowledgeable about migraines and listened to my questions and concerns. I am traveling on a plane soon to California so I am interested to see if the altitude changes will affect my migraines like they have in the past. Weather changes (barometer pressure) seem to correlate to a migraine for me. So I have several factors I am looking to test for migraine relief. I will post again with my progress as it heals! Everyone was very friendly on the phone and in person, the business was clean, and the wait time was very reasonable.

Tribal James did my Daith about 5 weeks ago and the migraines aren't gone but the pain has eased along with duration. Very knowledgeable, patient (I was really nervous going in for my "impaling" as I call it), and thorough. TJ walked me through the procedure by explaining every step and then again going over after care as well too. My daughter had an Industrial done at the same time and is thrilled with it. Yes, TJ did her's too! Maybe a tattoo after I finish the piercings I'm thinking of...who knows. I will definitely be getting everything done here at Tried and Tru Body Art. Thanks for the great experience TJ!

I got my daith pierced a week ago and I love it. I have had migraines for almost ten years now and have tried everything. I went in with some tension left over from a 2 day migraine and as soon as it was pierced the tension was gone. It has only been a week but I have hope. Gypsy Carol was so knowledgeable about the relationship between the piercing, pressure point, and migraines. She explained the procedure, how it would help, and answered all my questions. If you are looking for any piercing this is the place to go!

Liked the place from the moment I walked in. Well lit and very clean. The staff all were friendly and they seemed to have good relationships with each other. Carol was very friendly and very professional,she explained every step she was gonna do and made me feel very comfortable. I originally went to Davinci Tattoo and their guy is not in on Thursday which I find to be God sent because it led me to Crystal � Will definitely recommend Tried and Tru Nodt Art to anyone!!!!

I am really happy with how well gypsy carol did my daith piercing. From going through the steps of piercing my daith, to going over all the after care, and all the information in between. I have had my daith piercing for a little over a month now and have not had a headache or migraine since the day I got it done. Thank you to gypsy carol for doing this piercing on me and relieving me from my headaches/migraines.

A review of the amazing Gypsy Carol and how the daith piercing helped me. I got mine done about two weeks ago. I was taking 6 to 8 Excedrin every single day for many, many, many years and have had tons of tests done along with several different prescriptions. Nothing helped until the piercing. Now the first week I had to go through the "withdrawals" of getting off the Excedrin however it's been a lot better. I am not completely "healed" of migraines but it's soooo much better now and I've taken only 2 Excedrin in two whole weeks!!!!!

Would not recommend getting a piercing here. I asked them what kind of jewelry they had, they said titanium and checked many times with them on it since I'm allergic to nickel. Turns out it wasn't titanium and there was nickel in it. I broke out in hives behind my ear. If you don't have an ear sensitivity with medals then there's no need to worry about it but as far as medal quality, and the environment there I wouldn't recommend it myself.

I had such a wonderful experience today when I went to get my tattoos! Jason was my artist today and he is excellent! He made me feel really comfortable and even worked with me since I had to being my son along and really listened when I told him what I was going for with my tattoos. I am really happy with how well gypsy carol did my daith piercing. From going through the steps of piercing my daith, to going over all the after care, and all the information in between. I have had my daith piercing for a little over a month now and have not had a headache or migraine since the day I got it done.
