I came here to get my nipple repierced today, and had the greatest experience that I have ever had with piercers. He notices that my original channels that I had gotten done at origins were not straight, which I never picked up on over the year and a half of having them prior. He had a great eye. I also asked if they could do both at the same time, which him and the other pierces there were more than willing to do for me. They did a great job and calming me down and talking me through it. Went here for the second time in over a year to have my second snakebite re-pierced (went to have my septum pierced when Jordyn still worked there in 2016). The establishment is nicely decorated and very clean. Nice colorful selection of jewelry. Kio was very nice to me and took his time to be sure that the environment was clean and did an amazing job with the piercing itself. Prices are fairly good and cheaper than I remembered. My husband has been going to Woody for years. We have ALWAYS have a wonderful experience when we go to Custom Ink & Steel. Woody has done 2 cover-ups and 2 other tats for the hubby. Let me rave to you about Nikko. Earlier this week, I had gotten several piercings at another local shop. I am not new to piercings, and felt that I was in more pain than I should have been, so I went back to that piercer so he could have a look at them and make sure they were ok. He mostly dismissed my concerns and said that they would be fine. Two days later, I was still very concerned that the jewelry had been poorly fitted, and that the pain I was experiencing was not at a...ll usual. I decided to seek out a second opinion to at least calm my nerves. The second I showed Nikko my piercings, he knew they were unhealthy. In about a half an hour, he addressed all the issues, fitted me new, higher quality jewelry actually meant for a fresh piercing, and asked to see me back regularly to make sure that they were healing correctly after the original botched job. My ear already feels a Million times better, and I could not be more relieved to have found Nikko and his expertise. Who knows how bad my ear could have gotten if he did not have the experience and skill set that he does. Not to mention, he only charged me for the jewelry, and I believe truly did his best to make the process the least painful he could. I won't ever go to another piercer again. This place is by Far one of the best places I have experienced! Everyone is super friendly and it's very clean and professional! Nikko did my daith piercing at the end of March and he was very informative and knows his stuff. I live 2 hours away and just drove up yesterday to have him help me as my earring was loose and falling out. No one local would help me. But as expected Nikko took care the earring and again explained everything walked me they every step and how I'm healing and so on! Yesterday my sister in law and I went to Custom Ink & Steel after being traumatized by a different tattoo parlor. We were greeted and were instantly comfortable with Nikko the head piercer. Nikko did an outstanding job on my daith piercing and my sister in law's. A different shop over in Burton gave us the wrong piercings and messed mine up so bad it couldn't be saved. Nikko did a great job of thoroughly explaining our situations and our options without any pressure, and then gave us the correct piercings while keeping us informed every step of the way. Mr. Ryan Brown is an incredible artist. He did a cover up for me today that I've been avoiding for 7 years because I just hated even thinking about it. He was super fast with a steady hand and a great aesthetic. I never thought my old crappy tattoo could become a beautiful piece of art but you can't even see the old one anymore. I have several tattoos from several artists and I will only ever return to Ryan. I cannot praise him enough, he is beyond fantastic!Update: I got 5 cartilage ear piercings in one sitting by Dorian and he did a great job. I won't get tattooed anywhere else in the Genesee county area.I went to another (well known) tattoo shop in the area and I ended up absolutely hating my entire experience there, so much that it discouraged me a little bit making me wonder if I ever wanted to step foot into another shop again. I went into Custom Ink & Steel to get my nose pierced and was completely surprised by the atmosphere in this shop, the staff was so welcoming and willing to help. I have now received 2 tattoos from Evan Oslund he does AMAZING work, he is also very friendly and talks to you the whole time, which is a big plus in my opinion. Went in the other day to get the flat disc on my dermal anchor switched out for a top with a gem.  I was slightly wary because I'm very loyal to my home piercer back in Texas, but when a friend here highly recommended Dorian, I had to set up an appointment.When I got in the shop, Dorian and another man were both busy explaining things to other guests.  I didn't mind waiting because I was eavesdropping on Dorian explaining, in amazing detail, how the sterilisation/cleaning and piercing processes worked at the shop.  He was very thorough and made sure everything was clear to the guests and it was honestly impressive how professional and informed he was from his presentation.He was very knowledgeable about their jewellery and he's such a great salesperson I need to THANK him for letting me walk out of there with twice as much jewellery than I'd planned on buying.When it came to fixing up my arm, Dorian was incredibly fast and gentle and he communicated with me the entire time so I understood everything he was doing as it was happening.  It's been a couple days and my anchor is absolutely fine; there has been no swelling, no irritation, no infection, absolutely no issues at all.  If I didn't have an adorable opal gem at my arm, I'd question whether he even messed with it at all! This place has been by far the most proffesional,clean and nicest tatoo shop I have ever been in. I just recently had some work done there and I was so impressed with the privacy of the rooms. The staff is awsome and very friendly. Each artist has a book with their work in it and are very helpful. They help you with suggestions about what you may be getting and let you know what to expect during and after. They also make it a point to let you know they stand behind their work and will most def. take care of you any problems should arise. I go here for all of my piercings. It's a great atmosphere and cool people. Quality work at a good price and they're always willing to work with you and what you want.
