Chuck is an amazing person and runs a top notch shop. It's incredibly difficult to find yourself comfortable in the presence of strangers anywhere, let alone a tattoo shop where you are putting yourself out there to be potentially judged and feel uncomfortable with your ideas or body. The Parlor Tattooing was the 3rd place I visited in hopes of getting my nose pierced. I was determined because I'd been wanting it done for a long time and I guess nerves, I just wanted to get it over with. Anyway, Chuck (he's very cool!) didn't have any openings that day, but the following day he was just coming in to take care of some things but offered to schedule me anyway. So yesterday 3-18-16, I got my nose pierced. I was a nervous wreck, but he assured me that he'd done plenty of nose piercing and that I would be ok. And he was right! My dad and I get tattoos together as our way of bonding. We went to the right place! The owner, Charles, took great care of us, and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and happy. He is definitely a perfectionist at his work! We actually came to see him after our original designs at a different tattoo shop failed and the situation was just becoming stressful and our expectations were just not met. Charles had no problem making sure our designs for each of our ...different tattoos were to be perfect. He was very willing to make changes, even on the day of for some small ones. Overall, my jewelry box with butterflies flying out, including a quote and smoke is very intricate and incredibly detailed! Last week two of my friends & I went to The Parlor to get some piercings.  There was a miscommunication between my friend & the staff, they thought only one of us was getting a piercing.  I'm sure it was an inconvenience to them to squeeze in two more piercings at the end of the day (our appt was at 8:00), but they didn't show it at all.  They were super friendly.  Chuck, the guy doing the piercings was super nice & made us all feel so at ease & not so nervous.  Very professional & clean.  Then, this past week my ball fell off the back of my earring & when I went in to get a new one, once again Chuck was wonderful.  And when I tried to tip him for helping me out he refused.  He even offered that in two weeks if we came back he would remove the jewelry he placed with the one we'd bring in.  Can't say enough wonderful things about this whole experience.  Very happy & my tragus piercing looks awesome!  Thanks to Chuck & the staff, you were all great! I visited multiple shops around the area and wasn't that impressed with the portfolios of the artists. Then I found this gem,every tattoo artist at the parlor is amazing they all have strong artistic back grounds. When I went for my first tattoo chuck (the owner) personally worked with me to design my tattoo, I was new to tattoos so I had many questions and chuck and everyone at the parlor answered them all and didn't make me feel like I was stupid for asking. I've gone back for more ink and now onto a huge custom tattoo from chuck, the shops vibe is a friendly and laid back vibe. It's a great and friendly place to go. Read Less
