Both my friend and I had gotten nipple piercings there in September of 2016, they healed awkwardly fast, but then get easily infected even with proper care. She went and got here looked at to find out here were pierced too far back and had to take them out in March. I discovered mine was pierced too far back when I went to change it to a nipple shield and couldn't get it to work. I got tired of them constantly being infected or bleeding from pain so I took mine out as well. Definitely not satisfied and upset I had to take mine out. Read Less

June 16th, 2017 - Ok, I’m actually ashamed of myself for having waited so long to write this review. I’ve been going to Vivid Ink for over three years and had two amazing tats done by Phil. My third is at the end of this month and my forth will follow shortly thereafter. Phil, Stu and everyone there are outstanding…some of the nicest people on the planet! They are friendly, cater to your needs, open to your wants and ideas, the shop is very clean and awesome and the artist work of the tattoos are by far the best I have ever seen. I have not had any work done, yet. But let me start out by saying I ran into the owner Greg and his family out in a restaurant parking lot in East Lansing. I had my hands full with my child and leftovers and needed help getting into my car. I looked around and just asked for a hand. He didn't even hesitate to lend a moment of his time. Absolutely loved my experience with Michela! I had a half sleeve that she did an amazing cover up on. Her work is amazing! People stop me to compliment my piece and ask who did my tattoo AT LEAST twice a week (even a year later!!) Got my first tattoo done by Greg this afternoon. All I have to say is good things about him as well as the shop. First I will start with Greg- I originally did not have the best idea of what I wanted and he told me to think about it and to let him know when I did, which is very professional that he wants you to know what you want. He then took 2 ideas that I had and mashed them together to create the beautiful chest tattoo that I have. He was great to work with and offered me breaks every so often. He is very artistically talented and completed my tattoo much quicker than I even imagined. He was very reasonably priced, with exceptional work. He also was very easy to talk to and I believe that helped my tattoo hobby faster. He also helped to get my mind off the needles in my skin.Now on to the shop- This shop has a very homey feeling. I was nervous at first because it was my first tattoo and I was not sure what to expect. It is a very calming shop and extremely clean. I guess I don't know why a lot of people come here. They screwed up my fiances tattoo, twice. I got my monroe pierced by Danny and he was so unprofessional. He kept trying to feel me up and try to get my number. Not to mention he pierced it at an angle and I had to take it out. So I paid $35 for nothing. I hate it here. Read Less
