Paid a $100 dollar deposit and described to the artist what I wanted and scheduled first appointment weeks in advance, didn't get a drawing until the night before the appointment with the drawing not being what I wanted. Rescheduled appointment weeks later, again, to allow artist to draw up something that I approved. Artist didn't get back to me till the day before the second appointment saying he didn't have the time to do my tattoo anymore, only reason why this review isn't getting one star is because I got my deposit back. Danielle Parmelee the piercer here is absolutely wonderful! She has pierced my nipples, my friend's nipples, and my boyfriend's ears. She has also been regularly stretching mine and my boyfriend's ears out for over six months. She's incredibly professional, immaculately clean, very reasonably priced, and very friendly! She listens to what you want and will give experienced advice. She takes her time and you can tell she enjoys what she does. I drive from Westland to go see her. I got a couple piercings by Danielle. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by everybody at the front. They quickly went back to tell Danielle what I wanted and not even a minute later she was out in the lobby consulting with me. She immediately got me my paperwork and began setting up her room. She told me all my instructions for the aftercare and what I can expect with healing. She also told me that when I was ready to change the jewelry I could come back in and she would help me!! She was so professional and laid back that it really helped calm me down. Also, she was VERY sterile/sanitary which I really appreciate. My next tattoo was done by Alyssa, during the shop's Halloween flash event.She was super accommodating of my request to flip the tattoo from its orientation in the drawing. Next, I had my nose pierced by Danielle. It was quick and I barely felt it. I just received another tattoo from Alyssa,... a custom coffee tattoo. While I've seen amazing work by Jesse it's not just about the work but also the customer service. I've been here a total of 3 times with phone calls in between to get work done. My first time in no one would talk to me even though I had a picture on my phone of what I wanted. I was completely blown off. "I HAD to make an appointment." even though another time I was in a picture on a phone was looked at and customer was told come back after 5 for the work. The other times I was in and called I was told "no I'm booked" by multiple artists for different days. I understand getting business but if artist's are always booked how do you do walk ins? Lastly when I finally did get a consult I asked approximately how much, not looking for an exact quote I know better, but an estimate. Was told 270. I got tired of the run around and decided to give eternal tattoos a shot. They took what I wanted and drew it up on the spot and did my work at the same time also charging me $70 less and eternal tattoos is voted one of the best in metro Detroit. My friend was raving about how good Jesse was, so I went to see him with my friend. Yes, he was nice, but when I asked to change something or fix something he was very snippy and threw a lot of attitude (my family and friends that were there even noticed the same thing and wanted me to talk out but I didn't). And because I was nice and didn't want to annoy him (even though it's my body and I should have), my tattoo was off centered a little, and not clean on the lines. I felt like I was rushed, and he didn't respect what I wanted. I even told him that it seemed like it wasn't centered, and claimed that he didn't see anything and just seemed very pissed off that I even noticed it. I now have to deal with something permanently on me that isn't centered and now I have to go see somebody else to touch up the uneven spots. I'm not saying don't go to this place, and maybe Jesse isn't that bad, but my personal experience wasn't pleasant, and I would have just appreciated a little respect and patience from him knowing that this is on someone else's body, and he's the one getting paid- why is he in a hurry anyway? I had a great experience at Gyspy Kings tattoo. I had an idea in mind of an alien tattoo but being no artist myself all I was able to do was a little sketch and describe to my artist (Zach) what I wanted. What he designed went above any expectations I had and was way cooler than I imagined in my small brain. The actual tattoo work is awesome. Lots of detail and it really looks cool and unique. The shop is clean and they are helpful in decision making. I will defiantly go back when I want more work done. Cool place and worth the drive for me. If you going to get tattooed you need to make sure you find a good shop and good artist since you know it's pretty much like permanent and stuff. Read Less
