Dr. McFalda is the most caring competent doctor I have ever had in all my 80 years ‼️She diagnosed 2 melanomas that didn’t look like typical brown irregular border melanomas-one was pink and one was tan. She employs a great Mohs surgeon Dr. Brian Kopitzki. He is highly skilled and thoughtful and caring. Clarkston Dermatology is a 5 ⭐️Operation ‼️😁

Love love love Wendy McFalda, but ALL the doctors in the practice are top notch!! I’ve been going to Clarkston Dermatology for many years and honestly have never had a bad experience there. These doctors are caring, concerned, always answer all my questions, are pleasant, smiling, and professional. I can’t say enough good things about everyone who works there. The entire staff is the BEST!!
Everybody I know goes there and have been for a long long time. You can’t go wrong with this group.

In my opinion, I experienced a very unreasonable policy and poor service. Had already made an appointment with doctor to discuss getting several small skin lesions/moles removed. Despite, very good insurance, doctor only removed one mole. When I called back to make another appointment to get more small skin lesionsremoved, receptionist stated nothing was documented from last visit about getting any more lesions/moles removed, so I couldn’t make another appointment for mole removal until another assessment appointment was made and completed. That’s bizarre. Ive never experienced a derm who required two visits for a each small skin lesion/mole removal.
She stated nothing was documented about more moles. No my fault and why should it matter. She also stated doctor needs to make sure there’s a mole there to remove, and a second appointment needs to be made to get it removed. She said they require two visits are required to removed a single mole, can’t be done in one visit. The moles haven’t changed since my initial assessment visit. The mole haven’t been removed yet and haven’t changed since last visit, so don’t see why I have to make another appointment just to reassess what was already assessed.
It should not be necessary that they staff pre-document the existence of a small skin lesion/mole on a first visit, and then be required to make a 2nd visit to get it removed. Plus, if it is really required, I shouldn’t have to spend my time and money fixing their omissions cause it was discusses previously.
In addition, I feel a patient shouldn’t have to make 2 separate appointments for one small mole/lesion removal, especially since it’s already been discussed at previous appointment.
I’ve worked with lots of dermatologists in my life re mole removal and never have a I experienced such unreasonableness.
UPDATE: Went to Oakland Hills Dermatology today for first time in Auburn Hills, MI and they removed 4 small skin lesions on first visit.

I have been coming here for a few years. The staff is always professional and friendly. I have run into a problem in their service. I went to a seminar and decided I would give a deposit of 250.00 for a new procedure. In getting home I changed my mind as my skin is old and I didn't think the procedure would do me much good. I decided I would just leave the 250. In my account and use it for mole removal. They kept my money and wouldn't use it for moles because they said it was a medical procedure and not cosmetic and the two are separate in their office. WHAT. Most mold removal is for cosmetic and not medical. Reasons. What difference does it make as they have the money.

Worst dermatologist I have ever known. My husband went to see McFalda for bumps on his nose and a possible cyst asking to have them removed. She recommended not to remove them due to leaving a scar. He left. 6 months later, he went to another dermatologist for a completely different skin issue and he told him the bumps on his nose were probably cancer. He scraped them right away on his first visit and sent them to the lab. It was cancer. The cancer was so deep he had to cut away part of his nose and he had to have reconstructive plastic surgery. This dermatologist should have her license taken away. Do not go here.

Be careful when you go here. They try to trick you into services you did not request. I came in for an initial visit and a mole check as I have a family history of skin cancer. The Doctor entered the room with an assistant carrying a canister. She asked if a large mole I have on my left breast was bothersome. She said it was not suspicious but asked if it bugged me. I told her my last dermatologist gave me some lotion but I didn't remember the name, however I said it didn't really bother me. She offered to spray it with the canister and said she wouldn't charge me, it might come off and it might not. I was hesitant but gave in. Part of it came off but not the whole thing.
A few months later, I get a large bill for a destruction of a benign lesion that my insurance company did not cover. When I called the office, the Dr didn't remember telling me that she would not charge me, so I got stuck with the bill. It seemed very planned from the beginning to turn an inexpensive initial visit into a more expensive appointment if possible - why else would she arrive carrying the canister? Also very frustrating that they didn't even care about keeping a patient or about following through to make it right. They could have offered to complete the service to at least remove the entire thing - they really did not care that I was leaving. I guess they have so many patients they really don't care about them.

What a huge inspiration to young girls!! She is absolutely amazing, I love her and the entire practice!! I will always drive the 40 minutes from Sterling Heights to be a patient here!

OMG.. don't waste your time or money here. Gave this place so many chances only to be further disappointed. During one of my many appointments, the doctor requested a copy of my blood work that was done with my regular physician so she could prescribe me a vitamin. Once I got her the copy, she stopped responding to me. I called the office totally confused. Finally got a response back through the office admin that I should go back to my primary physician. I came there for hair loss issues - which they told me they treat. She was supposed to prescribe me Vitamin D (blood work showed that I was below the threshold for this vitamin) and then she bailed on me. VERY WEIRD. This is just one example. I could go on.

Dr Renny Abraham has been awesome. He and the entire staff are professional, friendly and courteous. My experience here has not had me waiting extending periods of time which tells me they are well organized and operate efficiently. Weather it is Dr Abraham or one the medical groups Physician Assistants, I have always felt like I recieve knowledgeable and professional care. They communicate very clearly and listen attentively to my questions and concerns.

You can get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time and the wait time is never too long. He's a great dermatologist and I would definitely recommend him!

When I met Dr. Schwartz, my overall impression was that he was mean. He acts like he already knows everything and can't be bothered to hear your input about your own face. He'll prescribe a new medication at just about every visit, which will in turn cause you to develop an allergy to antibiotics, and then he will give his staff a diagnosis that doesn't match the issue, so that your insurance won't cover it. When you call to question the billing dept., they like to hang up on you and send your bill to collections, without sending you any late notices. The collections company can't be bothered to take your call once you finally decide you've been screwed into a corner and have no choice but to pay what should have been covered by insurance. If this sounds like a good time - go for it. If not, Dr. Hart is where you should go.

In my opinion, I experienced a very unreasonable policy and poor service. Had already made an appointment with doctor to discuss getting several small skin lesions/moles removed. Worst dermatologist I have ever known. My husband went to see McFalda for bumps on his nose and a possible cyst asking to have them removed. She recommended not to remove them due to leaving a scar. He left. 6 months later, he went to another dermatologist for a completely different skin issue and he told him the bumps on his nose were probably cancer. He scraped them right away on his first visit and sent them to the lab. It was cancer. The cancer was so deep he had to cut away part of his nose and he had to have reconstructive plastic surgery. This dermatologist should have her license taken away. Do not go here.

During one of my many appointments, the doctor requested a copy of my blood work that was done with my regular physician so she could prescribe me a vitamin. I got a tattoo back in my early years and I wanted to get it removed now. I contacted Clarkston Dermatology and they got me right in. I have gone for several tattoo removal treatments and each time I am more impressed with the staff they have there. I am planning on bringing my whole family to them.

Made appointment to have a mole check couple weeks ago they called to confirm,sent me a couple text messages even I said yes I'm coming I'm coming ! Want to get this gd mole checked please! only to call me the day before oh we need a referral from primary dr. And suggested I go and pick one up) yeah no.called primary again twice they said they don't they don't need a referral but they as long as they are in network and they are ) but receptionist insist they do. wants to argue about itI guess I'll wait another couple weeks to find another dermatologist thank you clarkston dermatology not. Dumb thing is I would've ended up paying for it anyhow I'd rather find someone else to throw my money away to tell me my mole is just a mole....sigh

Dr Renny Abraham has been awesome. He and the entire staff are professional, friendly and courteous. My experience here has not had me waiting extending periods of time which tells me they are well organized and operate efficiently. Weather it is Dr Abraham or one the medical groups Physician Assistants, I have always felt like I recieve knowledgeable and professional care. They communicate very clearly and listen attentively to my questions and concerns.

Dr. Schwartz and his staff were very friendly and helpful. My skin has never looked better. My entire family goes to Dr. Schwartz for various reasons and every one of us is satisfied with his medical care. You can get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time and the wait time is never too long. He's a great dermatologist and I would definitely recommend him!

Went there with an eye rash...Dr McFalda took one look at me and said it was Roscea and prescribed an antibiotic and a steroid oinment. Now $175 later I still have the rash and she wants to do a skin...

Now $175 later I still have the rash and she wants to do a skin scrape....don't you thinks she should have done that first to know what she was dealing with? I won't be going back there.

When I met Dr. Schwartz, my overall impression was that he was mean. He acts like he already knows everything and can't be bothered to hear your input about your own face. He'll prescribe a new medication at just about every visit, which will in turn cause you to develop an allergy to antibiotics, and then he will give his staff a diagnosis that doesn't match the issue, so that your insurance won't cover it. When you call to question the billing dept., they like to hang up on you and send your bill to collections, without sending you any late notices. The collections company can't be bothered to take your call once you finally decide you've been screwed into a corner and have no choice but to pay what should have been covered by insurance. If this sounds like a good time - go for it. If not, Dr. Hart is where you should go.
