Actually the rudest management I've ever experienced. The piercing I got 3 weeks ago fell out and they refused to give me a new earring to put in its place so it doesn't close unless I paid $45 (the cost of a complete new piercing). The piercer here, Antonio, is the best you're going to find in this area. I had my septum piercing messed up by another local tattoo shop and I came in here for Antonio's help and he took out the botched piercing and repierced it after a few weeks had passed. Hes extremely professional and very clean with his work. He made the entire piercing process extremely comfortable and painless because he does not use clamps. I went here for my second tattoo and he definitely over charged me. This was my second tattoo and was smaller than my first one. For this one I only had one color compared to three, no shading at all, and was done in a shorter amount of time than my first one. It was $80 more than my first one. I got Jon Robinson for my tattoo and I wouldn't change anything about the experience. Beyond friendly staff have no idea what people mean by the staff being rude constantly felt aware of what was going on with my appointment. Tattoo looks amazing and he was able to do it for both cheaper and in less time than I expected I'm really happy with it. Jon constantly was willing to talk during the experience so I never felt uninformed. Would suggest Jon Robinson great tattoo within good time and good cost really nothing more you could ask from a human being. His knowledge on what both looks good and how to make it really fit to what you want were great. The shading and coloring that he did was amazing and it really made my tattoo stand out from just an ordinary design to a statement about what I like. Mind you, it has been AGES since I got my nips pierced here- but I still remember it as if it were yesterday. I believe Terry is the one that pierced them- and I couldn't have a higher opinion. He was AMAZING. So professional, efficient, polite, and very very knowledgeable. I've never been more put at ease. (I'm a serious wuss when it comes to piercings- oddly enough- not with ink though) when a piercer is very well educated and has good solid experience, I genuinely feel like it almost hurts less. I had some terrible pieces done and wouldn't even wear a tank top in summer for two yrs because of it. Lance took one look at them and assured me I had nothing to worry about, he would fix me right up. After a few hours I have two BEAUTIFUL pieces that look straight out of a graphic novel. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Made an appointment with Terry for my daughter's ears to be pierced. I showed up for our appointment and he wasn't even there. Another employee did not even seem to care that we were there and had been scheduled and then forgotten. All I was told was Terry is out of town. Well, then why would he schedule my daughter, tell us where to get the earrings, all the details, and then leave? He could have at least called to reschedule. My daughter is very upset, as am I. I asked to speak with the manager... Oh guess what? It's Terry. I then asked to speak with the owner and he was gone for the day. I left my number. Maybe he'll get back to me, maybe not. I chose Lance Kellar Studios because my friend highly suggested James and Kyle for linework. I personally went into the shop to discuss what I wanted and Kyle and said he could do it with no problem. So, I put a deposit down to keep an appointment..yada yada. Get there the day of my appointment and Kyle draws up my tattoo and I didn't quite like it. But he said that's the best he could do without it looking shitty. Okay that's fine. ((Even though this is gonna be on my body for the rest of my life, bro)) while he's tattooing, he proceeds to say he has a migraine. The fuk? Why are you tattooing me with permanent ink FOREVER if you have a migraine? That's a serious thing, and most people who get migraines can't even see straight during them, let alone tattoo someone. But then he says, "i think I just stayed out too late last night." Hmm, you're just hungover, Kyle. Eat a pop tart. Drink some water. And smoke a bowl if you have to. Shoot, it's 2 pm, how late did you stay out last night? Anyways..he refused to do what I asked for originally. Had a hangover. And also commented on how much he hated doing the specific tattoo that I wanted. If I would've known you hated doing that specific tattoo, I would've taken my business elsewhere...Kyle. Sorry bro. My seven year old daughter has been asking for over a year to have her ears pierced.  I didn't like the idea of having them done at some store at a mall.  I've heard great things about getting kids ears priced at a tattoo parlor; they have the best equipment, cleanest environment, safest techniques. She was not made to feel uncomfortable at all and was treated very respectfully.  While waiting on our appointment there was a movie on the television that I probably wouldn't want her watching, but a tattoo parlor isn't exactly designed for seven year olds so I never would have even considered saying anything about it, but an employee quietly changed the channel to gymnastics (it was a pretty funny considering the environment).  I made an appointment with Terry.  I asked a fair amount of questions on the phone and it didn't phase him a bit. Even offered for me to come in and explain the process. He doesn't keep stock of any studs that a young girl might prefer so we opted for him to pick up a cute pair in preparation of her appointment. Greatly appreciated customer service!  (We could have brought our own titanium jewelry if desired.) He was super professional and very compassionate with my daughter; took extreme care in cleanliness and hygienic procedures.  He explained what he was doing, why he was doing it and how to care for it extremely well. If you want to spend $50 for ink go to a flea market. Personally I would rather spend $350-1,000 per piece and get ink that im proud to show off. I got my 1st piece done by kirt decker on the referral from a friend. Since then all my ink is kirts work. Its not cheap, there's a few months wait for chair time, but insanely sick work. Either pay LK$ for the ink you want from the get go or pay them more to do the cover up of your bargain ink after you try to save a few bucks. Read Less

Although there are many great tattoo artists around I recommend Lance Kellar Studios on 21 Mile Rd in Chesterfield, Mi. They have some of the best tattoo artists in the area. I personally got my first tattoo done by Kirt Decker when he was on Southbound Gratiot in Mt. Clemens; he is amazing and is now at this location with his buddies that were at the other shop with him. My boyfriend got a tattoo from him a long time ago and we've been following him eversince! I was actually reffered to Kirt by several different people after I got my first tat done by him. My boyfriend also got a different tattoo done at Lance Kellar Studios by someone else before Kirt and his crew were there and it came out beautifully done, we both cannot wait to get our next series done there, they have the perfect crew!
