Very shady location. Me and three friends made an appointment to get tattoos together. We arrived, filled out our paperwork, and started designing the tattoo with the gentleman who works here. Mid-way through the designing process, the gentleman came up to us and said they would not be able to do the tattoos today. It was sudden and the only explanation he could give was that they were having "problems". The artist, April, was tattooing someone when we arrived and was very rude throughout the process. I have a small menagerie of tattoos but have never felt truly proud of any of them. Then I walked into Cowboys Tat2z, met April and started a rib piece that I had been thinking about for awhile. Not only did that tattoo heal more quickly, evenly, and without a single flaw. The day after I had it done, the redness and irritation I (and most tattoo enthusiasts) expect was nonexistent. I was looking for a place to do may 1st tattoo. I chose Cowboy's. There is not 1 reason to make me think I should of went elsewhere. After sharing my experience with my boyfriend. I think cowboys does good there. he is good at parsings too and he's cool.and the other people that work there are cool.and there clean.I go there sometimes when I need a tattoo or person's because there quick and clean when doing that and that's good. Read Less

I debated for a long time whether or not to leave a comment. Most people, at first blush, will say "She's just saying that because her sister works there". Yes, my sister does, and she is the only one who tattoos me. But that's not why I'm commenting. She doesn't need me to. In my 25+ years of working with the public, I have learned a lot from observation. There are two types of people that leave reviews about a place: Those who are extremely happy and appreciative of th...e service they received and those who are unhappy before the service begins and couldn't be pleased regardless of the outcome. I used to be a hairdresser in a big salon. I was always busy with regulars and referrals. Why? Because I was great at my job. Did I get unhappy people? Absolutely! However, most of those people did what most people do when they are unhappy, they don't return. And they certainly didn't leave any negative comments with the manager or on social media. This is time consuming. I felt compelled to "defend" the tattoo shop and my sister because of some negativity I saw. My sister is a great artist. She will continue to improve and become even greater. She is passionate about her work. I have seen her crying her eyes out during memorial tattoos, tackle cover ups other shops said couldn't be covered. She pours her heart and soul into every single one. And even spends hours hand making all the aftercare products she carries. Got my first tattoo there this weekend! Had a great experience! Staff was very helpful and friendly. I wasn't sure exactly how I wanted my tattoo done and they were very patient with me in helping me find the perfect fit for what I wanted! Artists-all of them are unique characters.  If you are nervous, or this is your first tattoo, don't expect to be coddled.  They rightfully have the attitude that it's going to hurt, so shut up.Artwork-tons of flash lines the shop walls.  Tons of porn star pictures as well, but that's another part of the review.Prices-not bad, and they are on par with the level of work they do there.  Environment-You will think you fell down a rabbit hole into another dimension.  One where full on crotch shots of ladies who frequently star in movies are plastered all over the wall.  Anime figurines, beer signs, devil themed paraphernalia... all out there in abundance.  If this kind of thing bothers you, find another shop, or suck it up and go get inked.Cleanliness-all instruments are sterile and I wouldn't worry about catching anything from there.  Unless, of course, one of the ladies in the pictures had sat in the chair before you...but I digress.I can only speak for the tattoo experience.  Haven't been pierced there.
