Maybe the tattoo artist is no longer there but i had a horrible experience. Said they couldn't do a tattoo smaller than a quarter dollar. And they filled in my tattoo with the same needle she outlined with. I didn't know any better hope you do or this post helps. Not only was it extremely painful, it looks so cheap. Read Less

I got my tattoo done by KC on Monday 7/24. I got there an hour before they stopped accepting walk-ins and they were very nice and helped me decide how big I wanted my tattoo, and gave me prices up front. I went here to get a second tattoo, just script done on my side. I was hoping it would turn out amazing.The tattoo artist was very friendly and seemed like he knew what he was doing. When I got home I was able to see that my script was pretty messed up. Some of the letters were crooked, the back end of my tattoo was not aligned with the front. I was very upset considered getting the tattoo removed completely. I did raise my complaint to Empire, and the woman I spoke with was very rude on the phone. She told me to just come in and he'd fix it, I was hesitant and asked if he could show me how it would look prior to fixing it and she said no, to just come in and he'd fix the tattoo. When I did come in I asked him to take a look to see what he could do to fix the tattoo. There was more than one aspect of the tattoo that was messed up but he only focused on one of the letters, so I said I'd have to think about it and come back. I just ended up going somewhere else that could fix it for me because I just couldn't trust him to do a good job the second time around. Read Less

I had a great experience having my tattoo with Moge. I made some small ones with him last year but that was my fist big one and Moge was great in each step of the process: Before starting, even when I asked him to change things here and there. He did awesome roses and had a plus: My 10 year old daughter was with me and I said that she dreams about the day she will have a tattoo, and he put a fake rose tattoo on her arm, it was so nice! Went in here after reading reviews and was looking for a new shop since my tattoo artist moved away. I figured I would get something small to check out the shop.  Unfortunately the person at the front desk made both my boyfriend and I feel very uncomfortable and rushed. I have been to a lot a different shops all over New England and had never experienced anything like that. They had a lot of people waiting so I understand the stress but I felt as if I was bothering them by coming in. I work as a hairstylist so I hold costumer service to a very high standard. Had my first tattoo done last night and it came out even better than I had hoped. Ramon, or Ray Ray as he's known there, took the time to really go over what I wanted. Joe was awesome in setting up an appointment for me with Neil. Neil's booth was clean, comfortable, and I got to watch Hulu during my quick tattoo. I had the pleasure of having Chris Reilly tattoo me recently. I had a basic idea of what I wanted, but I wanted the artist to have some creative license. Chris did an amazing job drawing up a design. Empire tattoo is the go to tattoo parlor is Boston. . My friend and I were on a girls trip and decided to be spontaneous and get tattoos. After reading plenty of Yelp reviews I decided to come here.When you walk into Empire, it gives you that typical tattoo parlor feel, very laid back.  Once we told our tattoo artist what we wanted they went to get the sketches ready, which they did very quickly & I appreciated that. Ray was my tattoo artist and he was great, he is also a New Yorker like me which gives him some extra brownie points lol. Ray did a great job making sure I was happy and was very patient with me as I was being indecisive about part of my tattoo. Ray also tattooed my very quickly, which was great! I was in and out within 20 minutes. Fast & easy just how I like it :)THE ONLY reason I am giving this place a 4 is because I didn't like that there was food laying around in the back not too far from where you are tattooed. This place needs a designated break room or to be covered by a curtain or something. I also would have liked some written after care instructions for the tattoo.  I wish I could give like a 4.8 because these things were so minor. BUT overall if you are in Boston and want to get a quality tattoo this is the place to go! Read Less
