Pumped to see all these five-star reviews for my favorite tattoo shop; these guys definitely deserve it! Bix has been doing tattoos for me for 3 years and many more to come. He is a true artist - take one look at his instagram (@abixbytattoo) and #saynomorefam. He can do all kinds of styles, but his specialty & most amazing work is old school traditional. That said, I have an elephant head mandala that's about 6"x6" on the front of my thigh and it's AMAZING. Love it every time I look down! Give him a few ideas and he'll draw up something spectacular (or more than one version of something) and help you choose the best fit for you. Oh, and he's a super nice guy with a super nice wife (hi, Jess!) -- so that's a plus.What else matters...- Cost: *CASH ONLY* and completely reasonable. But these are good tattoos! Don't expect to pay $60 for a quality tattoo. Go somewhere and pay $60 and then come to Sacred Harp and pay what it's actually worth to cover it up... just sayin'!- Cleanliness: 100%. The shop is clean, the individual work areas are VERY clean, everything is sterilized and in sealed packages, tables are covered with hospital-style paper. I've never even thought about cleanliness here, and that's exactly what you want.- Service: Above & beyond. You get great "tattoo service" - from the initial consultation to the final product, but you also get a great overall experience when you're there. Everyone is friendly, so you're not just sitting there sticking out like a sore thumb while a bunch of old friends talk around you (which I have experienced elsewhere). I mean.. you can sit there by yourself if you WANT, but if you have a little bit of a wait everyone who works here is a hoot. Say hi!- Follow-Up: You can buy anything you need for after-care here, and your artist will give you instructions and suggestions. If you need anything touched up, they're pretty awesome about it (FYI: I've never needed anything touched up, and I'm in the sun literally all summer). They also have some pretty sweet gear in the front so you can pick up a tank top/t-shirt/sticker on your way out, but there's no hard sell.If you are in the market for some ink, you owe it to yourself to check out Sacred Harp! Omg Jessie is amazing!!!!! I went in June from NYC and he was amazingly pleasant. My tattoo is awesome! I gave him an idea that I wanted, showed him a bit of a picture of it, and he designed a wonderful tattoo. I can't help, but to fall in love worth it every time I look at it. This was the worst experience I've ever had, thanks Jesse. I asked him for a very specific design, which I will admit- wasn't technique-wise the best tattoo- but hey, it's what I wanted. Anyway, Jesse tried talking me out of how I wanted to design my tattoo and kept veering me away from my path. Anyways, in the end, he agreed to do it the way I wanted as it should be, AS ITS ON MY BODY FOREVER. Then when I complained and asked why on earth he did it the way I said I wanted, he said "it's my art work and my reputation" REALLY BECAUSE ITS MY BODY??? Bix is the fuckin man ! I have been going to him for almost 8 years and never will I go see a different tattoo artist ! He's such a cool kid n makes for a awesome experience especially when going to put something on your body forever . I've been going to Bix for a year and a half and I've never once left feeling like I wasted my money. He's done a bunch of amazing quality tattoos on me and every time I go in and tell him he gets hyped up and goes straight to work. He's passionate about his work which makes for a fantastic experience and I plan on going to him many many more times. He's always done incredible work on me and I will and have recommended most of my friends and family to him and they've all left feeling the same. I've been going to Bix close to 6 months now and I fucking love this guy! He's a solid guy and I've had nothing but an amazing experience thus far! He's in the process of doing my left leg sleeve and it's literally perfect .His presence is very inviting and he's passionate about every tattoo he does. Getting tattooed is overall a shitty experience, but Bix makes it very comfortable and keeps things entertaining. I have gotten all my tattoos here and to be honest this is the only place I will go to get them done. Two of mine have been done by Bixby and one by Corey. Two of the nicest guys ever. Corey is amazing! I had a great experience last night and will be back. I have had tattoos done before but this was by far the best, most relaxed, and professional experience. Much like the reviewer before me, our band of hooligans decided that tattoos were a good idea at about 9:30 (or was it 10:30?) at night- either way 1/2 hour before Sacred Harp closed- we called and they said to come on down. They made time for the 4 of us (we all got something small) and were extremely accommodating and friendly. 3 out of the 4 of us already had tattoos and they didn't make a big deal of the fact that it was my friends first- she was a little nervous and they did a good job of putting her fears to rest.The shop was extremely clean, the people were very friendly, and they didn't act put out that they were there a little late because of us. I love this place! Have been there a few times already and they are always nice, very very clean, and the prices are very fair. For my newest tattoo I wanted something specific and the artist who is also the owner, worked on the design with me and so far its coming out beautiful!! I still need to get a little a more color in it.  He was also very considerate and gave me a few brakes and got me water when I needed it. I would recommend this place to everyone! There can be pleasure in pain.By far the best tattoo experience I've had.I went on a whim with my perpetual partner in mild crimes after an uninviting experience at a shop just steps away from my house.We showed up an hour and a half before close and met a cool, laid-back guy eager to help us round out the vague tattoo ideas we spewed at him.Turns out this cool young guy was the owner. He not only tolerated, but participated in our ridiculous conversation ranging from Thundercats to Tetris as he etched the coolest little apple onto the side of my foot.The shop itself was as sterile as you'd hope a place you go to willingly spill your own blood might be.  But also, comfortable with inviting leather seating and plasma TVs.The price was fair, the work was quick, and the pain minimal.I'll definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone - already inked or otherwise. Nothing says taking a chance like Tuesday night tattoo's out of nowhere....So me and my friend Kristen made a decision to get some random tattoos out of lack of anything better to do. Seeing as this was a spur of the moment thing I didn't have the time to book my normal person so we saw this place on my space and said screw it, lets just do it. We walked in and the shop was extremely clean, which is the first thing that I look for seeing as I'm about to pay someone here to repeatedly stick needles into me. It also had flat screen TVs everywhere which is good in the event someone comes who's not getting one.  The owner Corey is young, but he knows what he;s doing and that the standard I hold people, I could give a shit about how old they are. He's done tattoos all over the world so I figured his credentials checked out. I didn't get anything to crazy complicated, I got an ambiagram on the inside of my arm, but it still came out perfect, actually it came out better then I had pictured it, so needless to say I got what I paid for. My friend got an apple on her foot and she loves hers too. Also it was pretty fast for a tattoo, which was good cause it was the inside of my arm and hurt like a bastard. All and all this place is a close second to the woman who will always do my tattoo's, but all things considered Ill definitely go back! Read Less
