A group of 4 of us coming home from The Cape decided we were gonna get tattoo'd that day. Called a few shops and Erica said she'd take us no worries. She and Emily stayed 2 hours past close to make sure we all got tattoos we were each happy with. Erica had great patience with us and we had a great time. The shop is unbelievably sterile, too. This was my 5th tattoo from a 5th tattooer, and I don't really see any reason to go to another shop. I'll just make sure she doesn't have to stay so late next time. :p

I’ve been to this shop twice now and plan on going back to finish out my sleeve and for the rest of my work. I have had an original piece done here (skull on my left bicep) and had Erica fix an existing back piece that a previous artist had messed up. She was able to figure out a way to cover the existing work which wasn’t easy to do. If I had to breakdown, why I like Generation One so much it would come down to a few overarching categories.
Quality: Erica’s artwork it truly some of the best I’ve seen. I have received numerous comments about how good her line work is and the how she is able to draw in such a realistic way. She knows her stuff when it comes to the quality of different inks and understands how to apply it to make layers and detail.
Cleanliness: I am a licensed healthcare provider in Massachusetts and have an appreciation for Erica’s knowledge and use of aseptic technique. After talking to her I was really put at ease. She understands the physiology of how the body responds to the ink. This is the cleanest shop I’ve ever been in and you can tell right away they take their client’s safety seriously. She is also licensed to use lidocaine which is a help.
Experience: The shop has a good setup right on the main downtown strip of Court St. You can walk in and view the artwork and relax in the lounge area. I already stated how clean the environment is which is most important to me, but also any shop where I can catch up on my Netflix while getting a tattoo is alright in my book. I highly recommend Generation One.

Each of my tattoos represent a part of my life. Lovey was a very special dog. I had always been afraid of dogs, even Lovey when she was a puppy. Lovey and I took a training course together and the instructor told me she knew I was afraid of her and that I had to show her that I was the Alpha. It took a while, but I did it. She was my baby and she taught me so much.
Because if Lovey, I turned my fear of dogs into Love for dogs!!! I miss her terribly! ❤️😢❤️

The atmosphere is so relaxing, they let you choose the music you like or you get to watch tv if you want! John is very charismatic and amiable! I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my tattoo. So if you are downtown... stop in and make an appointment! You won't be let down!

Definitely had an amazing experience here. I wanted a memorial tattoo done for my mom and dad but I was very unsure what exactly I wanted. Erica took the time to sit down with me and get some information from me about different things. Then she drew up a tattoo and when I went to look at it, it was absolutely PERFECT! I couldn't have asked for anything better. I get so many compliments on it all the time. She is extremely personable, professional, and easy going. I tell anyone thinking about getting a tattoo to go here. I had such an awesome experience and now I won't ever go anywhere else for a tattoo.

The best shop I've been to out of the other 9 artist I had. Very clean, hang out vibe, and they are wicked nice. Johnny is the manager and Erica is the owner. Told her a few concepts I liked and she did an amazing job finishing my left sleeve. Gave me a better sleeve then I could have hoped for. She went above and beyond to get me in before I left the state. I will never go to another artist again!

Being a very cautious person I didn't expect much seeing how I always go to cobra. But I gave generation one a shot and Erica killed it, and it's my goal to become a regular, very professional, great work from lines to shading, the whole session was as if I was right there with family. Erica is a great artist and an even better friend. I highly recommend this spot to anyone I even got my best friend to get his first tattoo here. 10/10

hoped for and more! I really appreciated the knowledge and time I was given by the staff. I found my tattoo artist! Thank you Erica! I already know what my next tattoo is going to be.

A group of 4 of us coming home from The Cape decided we were gonna get tattoo'd that day. Called a few shops and Erica said she'd take us no worries. She and Emily stayed 2 hours past close to make sure we all got tattoos we were each happy with. Erica had great patience with us and we had a great time. The shop is unbelievably sterile, too. I’ve been to this shop twice now and plan on going back to finish out my sleeve and for the rest of my work. I have had an original piece done here (skull on my left bicep) and had Erica fix an existing back piece that a previous artist had messed up. She was able to figure out a way to cover the existing work which wasn’t easy to do. If I had to breakdown, why I like Generation One so much it would come down to a few overarching categories.

Told her a few concepts I liked and she did an amazing job finishing my left sleeve. Gave me a better sleeve then I could have hoped for.
