I was anxious about making an appointment for my first tattoo, but I was immediately put at ease by the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff over at NiteOwl. Great, cool, funny bunch who run a very clean, organized, yet fun and laid back establishment. I was greeted and spoken to very warmly and kindly when I booked the appointment and when I returned to make the deposit. I booked a full session with Jake after admiring his work, and he definitely did not disappoint artistically. His photo-realistic black and white pieces are something you’d expect to travel well outside of the area for; truly top-tier, phenomenal stuff and he’s doing it right in my town. What’s more notable about Jake though is that he’s just the sweetest dude! With work like his, he can have any sort of attitude he wants; but his professionalism, courtesy and kindness are unmatched. He took exceptional care of me for the 7+ hours I was in the chair with him, made sure to give me breaks, cleaned up thoroughly as he went, chatted me up on occasion, but stayed focused on his piece and worked efficiently. Really knows what he’s doing, I can’t recommend him enough! You’ll wait a while to work with him because he’s rightfully booked up, but well worth the wait! With that said, the other artists seemed equally professional throughout the shop as they were working with other clients. These guys will take great care of you. If condescending, rude artists are a concern to you, go to NiteOwl and you will have a much better experience.
The only downside I can mention is that the chair I sat in during my tattoo was just a basic, flat, lightly padded banquet chair and got uncomfortable pretty quick. I was given plenty of stand up and stretch breaks but I might not have needed them if I was on something more comfortable. I am a big heavy guy, so this might not be everybody’s experience, but if you’re on the heavier side, I would definitely bring some kind of cushion with you if you’re going in for a long session. Wouldn’t dream of knocking a star off for this though, it’s a tiny gripe compared to an otherwise really great experience. Will do business with again, this place is ace!

While I can’t give a legit review yet,
I actually came here to look at the reviews and from what I can tell, these seem like a nice bunch of dudes that are not just talented artist, judging by the work I’ve seen but enjoy what they do. As a guy who’s gotten a few tattoos in.my life, that’s what you look for. As a matter fact in any business situation, this is exactly what you look for. It seems that almost everybody who’s commented seems to say as much.
EXCEPT......Alisha Parker-Martell.
Well I won’t be taking the advice of ANYBODY who seems to have a problem with the 1st Amendment and by looking at her 3 other reviews, she doesn’t seem to have anything nice to say about anybody. As a business owner myself, these are the type of customers that actually believe that the customer is ALWAYS right. Even when you make ridiculous assertions about people and requests of the business owner.
This kind of person, as a customer, gives credence to the saying “addition by subtraction”. I don’t think any store owner needs her business.
While I might have a philosophical difference of opinion with the man with ink that you thought was offensive,
I will fight to the death his right to have them.
See you at the end of the month guys and Ill give a review of my actual first hand review. Lol

So far I've gotten three tattoos here, all walk-ins, all different artists. The staff is always really chill and friendly, I've never had a bad experience here and the prices are always very fair. For one of the tattoos I got I had forgotten to eat that day and so when I started getting tattooed I got really light-headed. When I told my artist, Patrick, he stopped and got me a coke and the guy at the front desk went and got me a slice of pizza. They were really nice and understanding which was much appreciated given that I was kinda embarrassed by the fact that they had to get me food. All in all, every time I'm their I get a great tattoo and have a great experience. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to get a tattoo, especially if you're into new school tattoos.

Called NiteOwl last minute to see if they had walk-ins. They were the 5th place I called in North Hampton and I AM SO GLAD THEY COULD TAKE ME LAST NIGHT! I was getting my first tattoo so I was slightly freaking out and Patrick and the rest of the artists made me feel super good about it and gave really good advice. I got a really small simple tattoo, so not a ton of artistry but you can tell by the artist books how amazing they all are. Patrick is great and did exactly what I wanted and made it look really good, I am really happy. It was such a fun, safe, cool, environment/experience. Highly recommend it.

A review should be based solely off the staff and the work they did on you. Not the customers. Your review should be taken down. This is very misleading to customers who want to receive great work from great artists.

I've heard many great things about this place...So i went to go see for myself! This was my first experience at a tattoo shop and my very first tattoo so i was nervous and didn't know what to expect. Me and my boyfriend were getting matching tats and we just walked in...(no appointment). The staff was VERY helpful and explained everything to us. I gave them a pic to go by and he came up with a sketch in a few minutes....Patrick did both of ours...he was very clean and professional...and fun to work with...he explained what he was doing seeing it was my first tat...I had an overall great experience here...i just got it done yesterday so its definitely gonna be healing for a while and i hope that goes well but as for now im very happy with their work and i definitely would recommend this place to anyone whether looking to get a first tat or or adding on to the many you have. They charge $150 an hour but I posted pictures down below but he did both of these for $120 just so you have an idea of what it costs...

My wife and I traveled from Pittsburgh to get tattoos at Niteowl, and had a wonderful experience. I spent two full days at the shop, 9.5 hours of that getting tattooed by two artists (Adrian and Seth), and I can definitely say Niteowl is a top notch shop. First of all, everyone is super friendly and fun. Spending 14 hours in a studio with strangers can be daunting if you're not super outgoing, but it was easy peasy here. Everyone will talk to you (or leave you alone if yo...u're struggling through the end of a long session) and it's not forced. The tattoo artists also seem to genuinely get along with each which makes it a great environment. Secondly, everyone in the shop uses high quality products and has a clean, sterile work environment. This is so important to getting a nice tattoo that will hold up and heal well. Finally, what really stood out to me is how talented the artists are. Everyone has their own style that shines through, but they all produce beautiful artwork. I found myself wishing that I had more time and money to get something from all of them. No matter what kind of tattoo you are looking for, there is someone who will knock it out of the park We are already thinking about returning in the future to get more tattoos here. I know I've started figuring out something from each of the artists I'd like to get done. We highly recommend Niteowl. See More

I've gotten a cover up done here as well as a few other pieces(all of which I flaunt and boast about to anyone who inquires about them). Lindsay Baker is amazing! She always takes care of me and makes sure I am comfortable! The atmosphere is welcoming and has an awesome vibe! Everyone there is friendly, it's one giant family! I would recommend any of the artists no matter if it's to get something simple, a cover-up, or extravagant! This is definitely the place to go!

I had a great experience today at Niteowl Tattoo. My husband and I traveled from Pittsburgh, Pa to be tattooed by Seth Holmes. He did our previous tattoos back in Pittsburgh and we live his work so much we deciding to make the trip,for more tattoos. The rest of the staff was very friendly. We spent many hours there and will spend them tomorrow and we felt nothing but welcome. The trip has been well worth it.

They are the kindest most wonderful ping pong masters, and anyone who has said otherwise obviously has a skewed view of reality. I've received many a majestic tattoo from this fine establishment. I recommend that everyone explore the fabulous artwork of those that work there, you will not be disappointed because they're epic art beasts. We do not control who comes into the shop, and if that particular client walks out with an amazing tattoo who the hell are you to say he's not planning on covering the crap he got before? If anything I think that makes you the judgmental bigot not willing to give all human beings the same amount of respect until they actually prove other wise. I'm certain you never will, but if you see a cross burning in the parking lot feel free to take your ass elsewhere. These artists are skilled, clean, and professional. That is all you need to concern yourself with upon entering the establishment. They didn't judge you for wanting the infinity turning into a feather turning into friggin birds, don't judge them.

Cool and unique place to get a tattoo, the interior is full of eccentric weird shit. Front counter staff is very nice. Nice that they have their own off street parking lot. Nite Owl seems to cater to people that appreciate great tattoo art. Not full of first timers getting butterfly's on their shoulders or piercings. I didn't have to put a down payment on my appointment to hold it. Prices were great. My tattoo was $120 compared to the quote of double that Lucky's gave me. My artist Patrick got right to work, and didn't take any breaks. Love the death metal and hardcore music playing. Only thing I didn't like was the tattoo floor layout. I was nervous someone was going to bump the table I was laying on and mess my shit up. Place seemed clean with the reassuring lingering smell of bleach present. I was a big fan of Lucky's, but might be a bigger fan of NiteOwl.

I know that the artist there are talented, there's no doubt. However I went to get a small tattoo on my wrist. At first it seemed ok, but as it healed it is clear the artist missed a couple spots and overall I am not happy. I will eventually be going back in to let them know and hopefully get it fixed. Just a little upset that there wasn't much care taken for my small tattoo, whereas the big ones are treated very well. I do have to say they are very nice there, I was a walk in and they took me right away. It wasn't super expensive either.

Fantastic experience with resident tattoo artist Shane Baker! Corresponded over email for about a month about a custom half-sleeve--he was fast to reply, courteous, and receptive of my ideas. The parlor itself is neat, clean, and organized. NiteOwl employees and artists are accommodating and polite. Shane's mock-up of the tattoo was everything I wanted and more. We got to work right away. Lineart in one session, coloring in another, background in the third, and finishing touches will be in the fourth. The rate is very, very fair for the quality of work. I highly recommend NiteOwl tattoo for top-notch black and white and color ink! Go to Shane Baker, he's the man.

Took the trip about 2 hours from New York to be tattooed by guest artist Kelly Doty. The shop is in a cute area amongst lots of other local restaurants and shops. A major plus for me was that the shop has its own HUGE private parking lot. No scrounging for under-the-seat quarters or running out mid-tattoo to reload meters! When you first walk in the shop is bright, clean and extremely welcoming. There's beautiful art on the walls from resident artists as well as other artists. The talent is clear as there's awards hanging everywhere from various tattoo conventions and when you see the work from these artists it is no surprise. Everyone was extremely friendly, including the guys at the front desk. I filled out some standard paperwork, met with Kelly to OK the design and the rest was history! The tattoo took about 6 hours and the entire time I felt completely comfortable and right at home. Everyone got along great in the shop and there was lots of laughter and banter. The area where the artists tattoo is all open and felt very comfortable and spacious. I really liked how everyone could see and talk to one another.My experience with Kelly, in particular, was fabulous. She is as nice and funny as she is talented. We had lots to talk about and as I made the trip alone, it was a pleasure to sit with her for 6 hours. I highly recommend her as an artist. I cannot recommend this shop enough! I highly recommend that anyone looking for a professional tattoo experience check these guys out. Be prepared to book in advance, although sometimes if you call ahead they may have some time for walk-ins. Can't wait to get back there for another tattoo soon. As a side note they are also a full service massage parlor which has its own beautiful, clean and tranquil space. I didn't utilize the services so can't speak to the quality, but I would expect it's nothing short of excellent.

Hours advertised are NOT correct. Drove to the shop only to find it closed hours prior to what they say on google, website and the actual place. Bad experience. Please update your hours or honor them.

I actually came here to look at the reviews and from what I can tell, these seem like a nice bunch of dudes that are not just talented artist, judging by the work I’ve seen but enjoy what they do. As a guy who’s gotten a few tattoos in.my life, that’s what you look for. As a matter fact in any business situation, this is exactly what you look for. It seems that almost everybody who’s commented seems to say as much.

Well I won’t be taking the advice of ANYBODY who seems to have a problem with the 1st Amendment and by looking at her 3 other reviews, she doesn’t seem to have anything nice to say about anybody. As a business owner myself, these are the type of customers that actually believe that the customer is ALWAYS right. Even when you make ridiculous assertions about people and requests of the business owner.
This kind of person, as a customer, gives credence to the saying “addition by subtraction”. I don’t think any store owner needs her business.
While I might have a philosophical difference of opinion with the man with ink that you thought was offensive,
I will fight to the death his right to have them.

So far I've gotten three tattoos here, all walk-ins, all different artists. The staff is always really chill and friendly, I've never had a bad experience here and the prices are always very fair. For one of the tattoos I got I had forgotten to eat that day and so when I started getting tattooed I got really light-headed. When I told my artist, Patrick, he stopped and got me a coke and the guy at the front desk went and got me a slice of pizza. They were really nice and understanding which was much appreciated given that I was kinda embarrassed by the fact that they had to get me food. All in all, every time I'm their I get a great tattoo and have a great experience. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to get a tattoo, especially if you're into new school tattoos.

Called NiteOwl last minute to see if they had walk-ins. They were the 5th place I called in North Hampton and I AM SO GLAD THEY COULD TAKE ME LAST NIGHT! I was getting my first tattoo so I was slightly freaking out and Patrick and the rest of the artists made me feel super good about it and gave really good advice. I got a really small simple tattoo, so not a ton of artistry but you can tell by the artist books how amazing they all are. Patrick is great and did exactly what I wanted and made it look really good, I am really happy. It was such a fun, safe, cool, environment/experience. Highly recommend it.

A review should be based solely off the staff and the work they did on you. Not the customers. Your review should be taken down. This is very misleading to customers who want to receive great work from great artists.

I've heard many great things about this place...So i went to go see for myself! This was my first experience at a tattoo shop and my very first tattoo so i was nervous and didn't know what to expect. Me and my boyfriend were getting matching tats and we just walked in...(no appointment). The staff was VERY helpful and explained everything to us. I gave them a pic to go by and he came up with a sketch in a few minutes....Patrick did both of ours...he was very clean and professional...and fun to work with...he explained what he was doing seeing it was my first tat...I had an overall great experience here...i just got it done yesterday so its definitely gonna be healing for a while and i hope that goes well but as for now im very happy with their work and i definitely would recommend this place to anyone whether looking to get a first tat or or adding on to the many you have. They charge $150 an hour but I posted pictures down below but he did both of these for $120 just so you have an idea of what it costs...

My wife and I traveled from Pittsburgh to get tattoos at Niteowl, and had a wonderful experience. I spent two full days at the shop, 9.5 hours of that getting tattooed by two artists (Adrian and Seth), and I can definitely say Niteowl is a top notch shop. First of all, everyone is super friendly and fun. Spending 14 hours in a studio with strangers can be daunting if you're not super outgoing, but it was easy peasy here. Everyone will talk to you (or leave you alone if yo...u're struggling through the end of a long session) and it's not forced. The tattoo artists also seem to genuinely get along with each which makes it a great environment. Secondly, everyone in the shop uses high quality products and has a clean, sterile work environment. This is so important to getting a nice tattoo that will hold up and heal well. Finally, what really stood out to me is how talented the artists are. Everyone has their own style that shines through, but they all produce beautiful artwork. I found myself wishing that I had more time and money to get something from all of them. No matter what kind of tattoo you are looking for, there is someone who will knock it out of the park We are already thinking about returning in the future to get more tattoos here. She always takes care of me and makes sure I am comfortable! The atmosphere is welcoming and has an awesome vibe! Everyone there is friendly, it's one giant family! I would recommend any of the artists no matter if it's to get something simple, a cover-up, or extravagant! This is definitely the place to go!

I had a great experience today at Niteowl Tattoo. My husband and I traveled from Pittsburgh, Pa to be tattooed by Seth Holmes. He did our previous tattoos back in Pittsburgh and we live his work so much we deciding to make the trip,for more tattoos. The rest of the staff was very friendly. We spent many hours there and will spend them tomorrow and we felt nothing but welcome. The trip has been well worth it.

We do not control who comes into the shop, and if that particular client walks out with an amazing tattoo who the hell are you to say he's not planning on covering the crap he got before? If anything I think that makes you the judgmental bigot not willing to give all human beings the same amount of respect until they actually prove other wise. I'm certain you never will, but if you see a cross burning in the parking lot feel free to take your ass elsewhere. These artists are skilled, clean, and professional. That is all you need to concern yourself with upon entering the establishment. They didn't judge you for wanting the infinity turning into a feather turning into friggin birds, don't judge them.

Cool and unique place to get a tattoo, the interior is full of eccentric weird shit. Front counter staff is very nice. Nice that they have their own off street parking lot. Nite Owl seems to cater to people that appreciate great tattoo art. Not full of first timers getting butterfly's on their shoulders or piercings. I didn't have to put a down payment on my appointment to hold it. Prices were great. My tattoo was $120 compared to the quote of double that Lucky's gave me. My artist Patrick got right to work, and didn't take any breaks. Love the death metal and hardcore music playing. Only thing I didn't like was the tattoo floor layout. I was nervous someone was going to bump the table I was laying on and mess my shit up. Place seemed clean with the reassuring lingering smell of bleach present. I was a big fan of Lucky's, but might be a bigger fan of NiteOwl.

I know that the artist there are talented, there's no doubt. However I went to get a small tattoo on my wrist. At first it seemed ok, but as it healed it is clear the artist missed a couple spots and overall I am not happy. I will eventually be going back in to let them know and hopefully get it fixed. Just a little upset that there wasn't much care taken for my small tattoo, whereas the big ones are treated very well. I do have to say they are very nice there, I was a walk in and they took me right away. It wasn't super expensive either.

Fantastic experience with resident tattoo artist Shane Baker! Corresponded over email for about a month about a custom half-sleeve--he was fast to reply, courteous, and receptive of my ideas. The parlor itself is neat, clean, and organized. NiteOwl employees and artists are accommodating and polite. Shane's mock-up of the tattoo was everything I wanted and more. We got to work right away. Lineart in one session, coloring in another, background in the third, and finishing touches will be in the fourth. The rate is very, very fair for the quality of work. I highly recommend NiteOwl tattoo for top-notch black and white and color ink! Go to Shane Baker, he's the man.

Took the trip about 2 hours from New York to be tattooed by guest artist Kelly Doty. The shop is in a cute area amongst lots of other local restaurants and shops. A major plus for me was that the shop has its own HUGE private parking lot. No scrounging for under-the-seat quarters or running out mid-tattoo to reload meters! When you first walk in the shop is bright, clean and extremely welcoming. There's beautiful art on the walls from resident artists as well as other artists. The talent is clear as there's awards hanging everywhere from various tattoo conventions and when you see the work from these artists it is no surprise. Everyone was extremely friendly, including the guys at the front desk. I filled out some standard paperwork, met with Kelly to OK the design and the rest was history! The tattoo took about 6 hours and the entire time I felt completely comfortable and right at home. Everyone got along great in the shop and there was lots of laughter and banter. The area where the artists tattoo is all open and felt very comfortable and spacious. I really liked how everyone could see and talk to one another.My experience with Kelly, in particular, was fabulous. She is as nice and funny as she is talented. We had lots to talk about and as I made the trip alone, it was a pleasure to sit with her for 6 hours. I highly recommend her as an artist. I cannot recommend this shop enough! I highly recommend that anyone looking for a professional tattoo experience check these guys out. Be prepared to book in advance, although sometimes if you call ahead they may have some time for walk-ins. Can't wait to get back there for another tattoo soon. As a side note they are also a full service massage parlor which has its own beautiful, clean and tranquil space. I didn't utilize the services so can't speak to the quality, but I would expect it's nothing short of excellent.
